Vibro wings - butterfly strap-on vibrator discontinued by Cal Exotics - review by That Man from Mars

This butterfly-shaped vibrator covers a fairly wide area, but due to the rigid shape, not all of it conforms to the body, so it's hard to keep in place. The straps are wobbly and don't do too well staying in place, though I think for a larger-bodied person, it might be less likely to slide away. If you're thin, chances are this won't stay in place unless you hold it. Though I'd say it's a failure at strapping on, simply holding it is kind of nice. The area covered is about two inches tall by one and a half wide, so it's much easier to handle than most of those bullet and egg vibrators you might come across.

The jelly material feels fairly high grade; a bit firm, but not too much. As much as the straps stink (and are a complete pain to figure out), the vibrator itself is great for foreplay, or solo use. I wouldn't suggest trying to wear it during sex if you're thin, or it will more than likely just get in the way. The remote control is pretty simple and easy to use, though the cord attached is slim. Do -not- get the cord or control wet. Given it's a bit bulky, I also wouldn't recommend wearing it under clothing unless the clothes are very loose.

I've never been a huge fan of jelly, which is what this vibrator is made of. It's sturdy and semi-transparent, with a neon green body. Only the body itself is really useful, as that's where the vibration and texture (tiny nubs) are found. While it feels just fine, jelly is impossible to sanitize and so it can harbor bacteria over time. You can't share this toy or keep it too long, or you risk health problems.

The straps are a black, stretchy material that feels like nylon. They're quite thin and a bit scratchy, and if you're terribly thin or a heavy person, they likely won't fit or feel comfortable.

The design is pretty nice, in my opinion. The butterfly is cute, and I like the little nubs all over the body which are just firm enough to really be felt, but smooth enough that they aren't painfully pronounced. It's a bulky toy, so if simply held by hand, it's great for a beginner or partner play. While you can tuck it in a purse or something like that, I wouldn't try wearing this under clothing.

The control is very simple. There's a single dial you turn to switch it on, and as you keep turning it, the vibrations grown in strength. The cord is quite short, about two feet long, and doesn't seem too firmly attached to the controller. I wouldn't try tugging it or straining it. The vibrations are just strong enough for me, but if you like really hard vibes, I would go for a different toy. I do like that you can feel the vibrations through the whole "body" of the toy, but you can't feel much of anything at the head or the wings.

This toy takes two AA batteries and lasts fairly well with them, but I wouldn't store it with the batteries in the compartment. The dial turns easily and it wouldn't take much jostling for it to turn on. The last thing you need when the in-laws come over to help you move is a box suddenly buzzing to life when it's picked up. Other than that, a decent scrub down is pretty much all you can do to wash it. Again, don't get the wire or controller wet and remember, jelly cannot be properly sanitized.

The package is pretty simple, but not at all impressive. It came in a simple, discreet brown box and in that box was the packaged toy. It sported a woman wearing the device and in the throes of pleasure which is kind of tacky looking, but it explained well enough what you purchased. It's a fairly flimsy box, so I'd store it elsewhere.
