Fou on You

The Fou is a really nice toy for warmup, but not so hot if you need a quiet toy. The click and charge system is a pain in the ass, but I do like that it's rechargeable. Silicone is great, and plastic is pretty good, too. If it was about 80% stronger, I'd like it about 200% more.

Pros
Rechargeable, waterproof, fairly discreet.
Cons
Loud, and the vibrations don't do enough. Click and charge is so super annoying.

Use

The Fou is meant to be a clitoral vibrator, used for external stimulation. It can also be used to stimulate the nipples, penis, or any erogenous zone that tickles your fancy. It can be used by couples or single persons, though I'd recommend it for those who need lighter/less intense vibrations. The waterproof design means it can be used underwater or in the tub, and the light up features mean it can be used easily in the dark.

Material / Texture

The Fou is made of a soft, pliable silicone, and a hard immobile plastic. The silicone portion (about 80% of the toy has high drag and feels very thick. The texture of the silicone (or plastic, for that matter) does not add a great deal of stimulation, though the dragginess means you need to use extra lubricant--and it also makes this toy a lint magnet. Neither the silicone nor the plastic have an odor or taste.

Design / Shape / Size

The Fou, measuring in at 2.5" and 2" across (a circumference of 6.5") is somewhat egg shaped, with a deep cutout that can be used to stimulate erogenous zones when you cup the cutout around them. It's a fairly discreet design, as, unless someone picked it up they wouldn't recognize it as being a vibrator--the downside to this means that people will be incredibly curious as to what the funny looking egg on your dresser is and are a bit more likely to pick it up. There is no locking feature, which makes this slightly less discreet than other options.

Because the toy is egg-shaped, it cannot sit properly, and just rolls everywhere.

The base features three buttons (+, -, and *) which control different aspects of the toy. The charging strip is also on the base of the toy (the words Fun Factory indicate the click and charge port).

Functions / Performance / Controls

To turn the toy on, you must push the button for a few seconds (I guess that's their idea of a locking mechanism?) and then keep holding (or push down) until you get to the intensity you want. To turn the toy off, just hold the minus sign until the vibrations stop.

The Fou functions by pressing the +, -, and * buttons--the + and - buttons increase or decrease vibrations, and * changes the pattern of the vibration, which can be set to whatever intensity the toy is using. When you push the vibrations up to level six (the highest intensity) the lights flash, letting you know you've gotten to the top.

The vibration types are listed below:
-Steady vibrations
-Fast pulses
-A rev type vibration
-A vroom type vibration
-A slower vroom

The toy is very easy to use, and very intuitive, but the vibrations are lackluster. On the highest intensity, they're incredibly loud, but the vibrations diffuse through the egg so all the noise doesn't correspond with power. The strongest vibrations are in the base of the toy, rather than the soft squishy silicone portion you're meant to use against your body. Unfortunately, even when you utilize the cutout of the toy (such as on your clitoris) the vibrations are still too weak to do much good.

Care and Maintenance

Silicone is a great material; it's totally sanitizable, and is safe. Unfortunately, the plastic portion is not so I'd recommend against sharing this with people that aren't fluid bonded. For daily maintenance, you can use a toy wipe or any basic toy cleaner.

It came with two different storage pouches--a very classy move, and one that would be great for either gifting or storage.

Because it's made of silicone (in part) you cannot use silicone lubes with it, or store it with other silicone toys, lest you do irrevocable damage to your Fou.

The Fou uses the click and charge system which is, by far, the most annoying system ever. It takes ages to get it aligned properly for charging, and the slightest motion moves it off of the port. It's so awful, I don't know that I'll even consider using another click and charge toy again.

Fun Factory makes such cute toys but they always suck in the power department. Such a bummer.
