A "Chakra" is an Indian term for one of seven centers of spirituality in the human body. After doing a little online research, it's apparent this toy was designed with the "Sacral Chakra" in mind, the one that centers on pleasure and sexuality. Essentially, this toy from from California Exotic Novelties is no more than a spruced-up bullet vibrator with a pretty controller befitting of the "tantric", Far East Indian theme. It's used to titillate external erogenous zones, with a primary focus on a woman's "center" (clitoris!). Anyone might enjoy this toy, particularly if you are a fan of patterned vibrations, but for myself, I'm happy with just constant, strong, steady ones.

The bullet, the central feature of this toy that will come in contact with delicate areas, is a PU coated plastic, which is relatively safe, non-porous, and has a velvety smooth feel to it. This way, it feels less cheap and decreases slippage, so if you don't use lube with it, there will be a little friction, but not much since it doesn't have a rubber feel to it. It's compatible with either a water-based or silicone lubricant and cleans up easily . The control unit also has the same coating, providing a better grip. There's a thin seam on the bullet, which doesn't affect usage. This toy has no odor or taste. The only con is that this material cannot be completely sterilized, but it's still a safe choice. I don't recommend inserting it in any cavitiy, especially for full anal insertion, but it would feel nice tickling the exterior of it.

A pink, standard-sized bullet measuring roughly 2 inches with a 1-inch diameter attaches to a 4-3/4 inch long (1-inch diameter) control wand via a 2.5 foot removable black power supply cord. This way, there's less of a chance of damaging the cord or wearing down the batteries when not in use. There is a removable battery tray in the control until for easy replacement and removal purposes.

One one side of the control unit, there is some pretty etching in the plastic through which a hot pink base shows through. It is reminiscent of Far Eastern engravings, but with swirls and hearts. It's also a good size and fits well in the hand. One must be careful though not to pull on the cord during use, or it will disconnect from the controller and the bullet will stop functioning.

Two AAA-batteries power this toy and are inserted in one end of the control until (the side opposite where the cord plugs in). To power on the toy, look for the small hot pink heart on the etched sized; it's so small you may even miss it at first, but it's slightly more raised than the rest of the surface. Make sure the cord is inserted in to the control unit or the bullet won't operate! Press the heart, and the whirlwind of vibrations start on the one AFTER the last one you were using before you turned the until off (hold 3 seconds to turn off). Continuously pressing the button will cycle through a series of 10 different vibration modes, ranging from high, medium, and low constand vibrations, followed by a series of 7 patterns (escalating, tapping, thumping, etc..). It gets pretty busy, so that it can be difficult to find one's "center" and stay focused if you start hopping around too much.

The toy isn't very loud and the intensity isn't all that special, just average - not too strong nor too weak. The frequency would be described as mid-range, more rumbly than a high buzz.

Disconnect the bullet from the power pack/controller, then wash with warm water and antibacterial soap or use a designated toy cleaner, such as the spray kind to wipe the surface. Store anywhere, out of light and heat.

I've used many bullets over the past and have found that the ones that work best for me just have a constant vibration; the patterns usually do little to arouse me, since the pauses make me lose focus, but a consistent hum on my clitoris is torture to me and will bring me to orgasm much faster. I was disappointed in the power of this bullet, but it's no surprise since it only uses AAA batteries. My most powerful bullet uses 4-AA batteries and has 8 levels of constant vibrations. It's also made by Cal-Exotics, but it looks cheaper than the Tantric Massager, has a jelly cover over the bullet, and a fixed cord. Now if they could only fuse the two products together somehow, I'd give it 5-stars. As is, it only gets 3 from me.
