fun novelty. short living.

I was super excited to receive this toy... imagine my disappointment when i had to send it back as soon as i opened it. When you get one that works, it works great....for a little bit.

Use

This toy is great for internal and external stimulation. Great by yourself (for a man or woman). Great with a partner. Even better if your partner is a musician. A tad bulky to be placed between bodies but CAN be done.

Material / Texture

This toy is very firm (hard plastic but also very comfortable) and smooth, no seems (except where the base connects). Non-porous and phthalate-free. Easy to clean with alcohol or antibacterial soap and can be used with any lube

Design / Shape / Size

When i first got this toy in my hand it looked bigger than it did online, but still not intimidating. It was still not as big as an average penis (in girth anyway). The shape is very nice and stream lined. The end is not tapered but is rounded enough to not feel to blunt being used internally and has a nice glide using it externally. The end caps are notably made of plastic but they aren't cheap looking enough to be a turn off since so is the rest of the toy. Most of the noise the toy creates is dampened when its inside you ,which isnt helpful if you are using it externally. Uses batteries and has a decent battery life.

Functions / Performance / Controls

They thoughtfully designed this toy with two end caps. One cap has only an outlet for the splitter (they give you a generous five feet of cords so you have free range of motion) and runs from your CD player, Mp3 player or whatever you else you can hook it up to. My husband (with the help of a part not included, and im sorry i dont know what its called) hooked it up to his guitar for some live performance fun. The second end cap has two buttons that make this product stop and go(or play). Play can be pressed several times for multiple levels of vibration intensity. Make sure that if you are using it with the music end cap that your music is turned up at least 75% volume to make the toy vibrate. Volume which is not loud enough wont make the toy run and volume that is close to 100% makes the toy constantly vibrate instead of flowing with the music. You might want to invest in some great sounding comfortable head phones to make this experience more enjoyable

Care and Maintenance

Easy to care for. Remove batteries when not in use. Clean before and after with rubbing alcohol or antibacterial soap. It comes with a cute and soft pink "carrying pouch" which i like to store mine in even if im not takign it anywhere to keep it scratch free.

Packaging

this box may be discrete to the untrained eye... like those of a child. Even tho it doesnt scream "VIBRATOR!" you know whats in there. The way its packed is organized and comes with thorough instructions on how to use and care for you toy.

I liked this toy a lot. I liked it for a long time, but this toy doesnt live very long. My second one is already broken. Its still usable but its really fickle, only working sometimes and only with one of the end caps. Judging how the first one i received didnt work fresh out of the box i feel that this is a common theme with this product. However it works well when it does work and is worth the experience.

Experience

I own two of these vibes. The first one i received was a gift (i dont know from where) and didnt work the right way. This toy comes with two end caps so you can listen to music with your toy or have it function just like a simple basic vibrator. I contacted the people at ohmibod and they sent me a new one for free,they had great customer service and were very helpful and responsive. When i got my new toy in the mail it worked beautifully.

I still have fond memories of this toy. I might use it again in the near future if I can manage to make it work. Like I said before, this was really unique and fun, but it wasn't high quality or built to last.

Pretty good review. You still need to add a bit of details about the toy, but nothing serious. You did have a couple minor mistakes with wording (in material/texture, it should be seams, not seems.)

Other than just elaborating more about the toy, you did a great job. A lot of improvement from your last review!

      the unit should not heat up like that when plugged in. one of the reasons that it would do this is if the batteries were placed in the device backward causing a short in the circuitry that converts the audio signal into a higher dc power signal for the motor. always use the standard non headphone cover and test to see if the unit works before using the headphone adapter.

      if the unit does not work with the standard cover the batteries might be in wrong, once it works with the standard cap switch to the music cap and try a source like a mp3 player/PC/ something with a standard headphone jack. the iphones have a bit of a different headphone jack style with an extra set of contacts for the iphone headsets so if the jack does not go fully in may cause a short in the vibrator.

      I think this would be good for parties, especially if there's music. There's a version of the OhMiBod that actually picks up the ambient sound in a room -- you might want to have a look at that one!
    • To me, it seems like that would be a better use than in private. Seems like the novelty would wear off if you only used it alone.

    • Yeah, it can. The only thing that the OhMiBod "links" into is your headphone jack. If it can take a headphone jack, you're good.
