The best use for the Calypso 2 would be for clitoral stimulation but can be used to stimulate nipples, genitals, etc. I wouldn't use for insertion because there is no real safe way to retrieve it and pulling on the cord could cause it to break and the toy to become "lost." This toy could be used alone or with a partner and it works great as a "warm up" toy.

The controller/battery pack is hard plastic. The front with the display buttons is shiny and more slick feeling and the back more matte. The bullet part is made of nice smooth silicone and it features some wavy ridges and bumps for added texture. The silicone is firm yet offers just the right amount of flex and it holds no unwanted odors. I did notice a seam which runs long ways down the center of the bullet that I can feel with my fingers but didn't notice during play. Would work well for beginners and more advanced users alike.

I really like the "funky" design of the bullet. It looks like a fat kinda deformed thumb to me, and the bulges and ridges of it feel great when used for clit stimulation. There is a bulged tip on the end that works great for pin point clit stimulation and wavy ridges along the skinnier base of it as well as along the sides. The bullet is 3 1/4" long, 3 1/4" in circumference, and 1 1/2" in diameter. The cord, which I wish was just a bit longer, measures about 23". The controller is just big enough and shaped so it fits perfectly into your hand for easy handling. I love the blue tattoo type design on the controller, and the pattern kinda reminds me of a flower. The battery compartment on the back of the controller has a latch you have to push to unlock it so you slide it off and on. This did prove a little tricky at first because the latch didn't seem to want to lock when I tried to put the cover back on. Also, inside the battery compartment is a waterproof ring that seals off the batteries making the controller waterproof. The funky little bullet doesn't take up a lot of room so you could hide it pretty easily, and if you wanted to carry it along with you while your out, it would fit in a handbag no problem.

The vibrations are located in the bigger bulged area on the end opposite the cord, and I would consider them more of the buzzy variety but they are nice strong vibrations. The Calypso 2 is waterproof and can be taken along to the shower or bath for water play. I took this along in the tub and had no problems. It has 7 different vibration patterns which are controlled by one button and then another button that is designated for on/off. The buttons light up when on, and they do take a little effort when pushing them to adjust controls. It is corded which is a bit of a pain, and it isn't super long. All it takes to power this little bad boy are two AAA batteries and you're good to go.

Wash with soap and warm water or your favorite toy cleaner. Avoid storing with other toys so no unwanted reaction occurs, and use water based lube only with silicone because silicone based lubes could possibly cause damage to the toy.

This arrived packaged in a simple box with a picture of the toy on the front and some of its functions/features listed on the box. The Calypso 2 was enclosed in a thin foam sleeve and there were no directions included, but there are a few care instructions listed on the side of the box it came in.
