Gigi sex toy review

somewhat useful review
LELO’s Gigi is a vibrator that deserves to be coveted. I really have to give the Gigi five stars. This vibrator is classy, well made, powerful, quiet, comes with a one year warranty, and the shaft is 100% medical grade silicone.
Pros:
Well-made, powerful, 100% silicone, 1 year warranty, rechargeable
Cons:
Tendency to turn off randomly, satin pouch is cheap, irritating high-pitched whine at low speeds
LELO’s Gigi is a vibrator that deserves to be coveted. And in fact I did covet it – I gazed upon its purple silicone shaft and white plastic handle, and waited very impatiently for it to arrive. My anticipation built when it was temporarily delayed, and when it finally arrived, I couldn’t contain my grin as I carried it home from the mail center.
Even opening the box seemed to be an event: the Gigi comes wrapped in a tasteful purple cardboard box calling it a “pleasure object,” and inside of that box is the real treat: the Gigi is further contained in a black gift box, nestled in a molded plastic shell to keep it safe. Contained within this little box are the Gigi, its charger, the manual and warranty notice, and a small satin pouch for more portable storage.
I immediately set up the Gigi to charge, as the manual instructed. The manual and warranty (one year!) are both written in English, German, French, Spanish and Japanese. I waited impatiently to try out my new toy (excuse me, my new pleasure object!), and when the little white ring glowed steadily to indicate readiness, I unplugged it and started to play. I quickly discovered that the Gigi is surprisingly powerful and diverse, for such a seemingly small vibrator. There are five functions and ten speeds for each function, allowing me to choose the perfect intensity. The Gigi is also quiet, and can barely be heard under the covers even at high speeds.
With a little water-based lubricant, I was ready to go. I began first with my clitoris – I cycled through all five of the functions and all ten speeds before deciding on the strongest straight vibration setting. I teased myself; I played until I absolutely needed to feel the Gigi inside of me. I slid it inside and set it on pulsate – I’ve never felt anything like that before! The Gigi is engineered perfectly to hit the G-spot, and I found myself letting out noises that I’d never heard coming from my mouth. My orgasm, when it hit, was simply incredible.
Incredible as it was, however, even the Gigi has a few downsides. To start, this vibrator has an irritating habit of turning off at rather inopportune moments – like right as I was about to come. At the lower speeds, regardless of function, the Gigi tends to emit an irritatingly high-pitched whine; this becomes a problem mostly with the fifth function, “before and after,” which cycles up and down in intensity. Lastly, I wish that the satin pouch was higher in quality, and padded. Bits of the inside seams tend to fray onto the Gigi, and the pouch offers little protection from the elements.
Despite these minor negatives, I really have to give the Gigi five stars. This vibrator is classy, well made, powerful, quiet, comes with a one year warranty, and the shaft is 100% medical grade silicone – which has a slight “hospital” smell. The Gigi charges quickly, there’s no need to rush out for batteries, and it feels so very good on the clitoris and G-spot both. It can also be locked while traveling, to avoid embarrassing vibrations in the middle of a busy airport.

Charging Gigi in the UK
-
FiredrakeNemmySo uh, my gf lives across the pond in England and I wanted to get a little something to bring her next I go visit.
She really likes the use of the Gigi vibrator but I'm worried about the charging of the toy, I learned to be wary of such things when I blew out the power to my Wii :X
But anyways, if anyone who has one could kindly take a look at the allowed voltages I would really appreciate it. The voltage info can usually be found on the charger itself ( a bunch of random numbers and such and has that UL logo ) Does it list the Input as 100V-240V or just something around 100V?
Thanks! -

SammiThe charger I have with mine has the 100V-240V range.
You might also look at getting a charger specifically for using the Gigi in England.

To Buy or Not to Buy....

GothMy 22nd birthday is coming up which means birthday monies <3 I'm trying to see if I can orgasm with my gspot but haven't had any luck. I've been close but no beans yet. I'm debating getting this to see if it'll work for me, plus I'm trying to go off birth control, it's made my sex drive completely dissappear after 2 years of being on it, not to mention making me depressed, moody, etc.
Anyway, would this be recommended? Where's the vibration, though? More in the shaft towards the buttons or more at the tip? And is it plenty strong? (I need strong vibrations.)
I'll have to order at a time my dad won't be home, though, and make sure it arrives when he's at work--how embarassing it'd be for me for him to find out I have toys! -

If not then I would.

I know I love it! It's my favorite vibrator. -

is the gigi a good starter g-spot vibe?
-
DreamyLoveMy friend Lee's birthday is coming up and ever since I told her about female ejaculation and what it is and that I can do it, she's been trying to find everything about it and is really interested in a g-spot vibrator, but she doesn't really like the way most vibrators feel with vibrations. To her, they feel like an "Oh, there's something vibrating in my ladyparts but it's doing nothing for me." So, my question is, is the Gigi different in that sense that the vibrations have some "variety" to them and they're not so monotonous? I'd love to get her the Gigi for her birthday and have heard nothing but great things about it. -

Although, whenever I read about female ejaculation the Ella is usually involved.

It doesn't vibrate, but you may want to check it out. -

If it has to vibrate and you want to be able to use it for clitoral stimulation, Gigi is great. But if you're on a lower budget and only want g-spot stimulation, the Ella is one of this forum's favorite dildos.

Best G-spot vibrator. Which one to pick?
-
Rachell25LELO has presented a couple of very well designed G-spot vibrators, like Gigi, Liv and Elise, lately. Just looking at them makes me feel horny. They all have great features and different vibration modes and they are also rechargeable, so I can safe my money on batteries.
Gigi seems to be the toy of my dreams due to its well pronounced curved tip. I guess that will lead to a better contact with my G-spot.
Any ideas, suggestions, tips? Anything will do.
PS: Will Gigi make me squirt??? -
RainbowWow... that looks really splendid, in fact, all of them do.
It looks like it's going to be my G-spot's best friend for ages.
That must be a bargain but it is kind of expensive for me at the moment but as soon as I can afford one I will surely have one in my toy box. -
SirenMy dear, not every woman is able to "squirt", it depends on every woman's physiology but it is definitely going to send you to Seven's Heaven of Pleasure.
I own one, the Liv, and it's just terrible, in the good meaning of the word.
I can assure you, you made a perfect choice if you're looking for G-spot stimulation.

Warranty!? That's amazing!
Isn't it?! I think that all of LELO's products come with that warranty except maybe the Luna pleasure balls.
apparently there is a lock for the dial. (i haven't bought it yet, just read some reviews.)
If you press the center of the power button for five seconds it will lock; press again for another five seconds to unlock it.
Not strong enough!
