The Provibe is a versatile toy with so many ways to play. The obvious intended use is internally for G-spot stimulation. It has a bend in it that makes it superb for hitting the G-spot in just the right way.

The vibrations come from the tip of the toy, which also makes it nice for external stimulation. The tip is wide and a bit cushioned, so it's dreamy for use on the clitoris, nipples, or anywhere really!

This toy is waterproof and is fantastic for playing in the shower. However, please don't take it with you into the tub or pool. The box states "Waterproof can only be provided when in the shower or while it is being cleaned with water." Fully submerging it could have disastrous consequences!

Women will get the most use out of the Provibe, because of the G-spot benefits. It works for solo play or with a partner. Men can use the toy externally, but it is not meant to be inserted anally. I think that everyone can find a use for this toy that they really enjoy. There's fun to be had for all!

I just love silicone. When it comes down to it, I will chose a silicone toy over any other material.

What is Silicone? Silicone is a polymer made by heating and refining the element silicon--which is more common than you might realize. In fact, the sand that you find on any find on any given beach in the world is made of silicon. So is the glass in every window and technology in every computer. Silicon is one of the most commonly occurring elements in the universe.

Silicone is recyclable, environmentally friendly to make, and antimicrobial. And don't even get me started on how silky and luscious the texture of a silicone toy can be, we'd be here all day.

The Provibe is made of a silicone that has a nice, squishy feel to it. Unfortunately it has a bit more drag than I enjoy, personally. At times it almost feels a bit sticky. I definitely prefer a smooth, silky toy to a tacky lint-magnet.

It does earn back some points with its voluptuous ridges. The middle of the shaft is adorned with seven ridges that are just the right size for me. It's probably worth noting that I'm still something of a texture noob and don't usually go for anything too crazy.

The entire shaft of the toy is completely rigid, but the head is significantly squashier and has some give to it.

The Provibe lacks the sleek, seamless look that I've come to associate with luxury toys. That isn't to say that this toy doesn't preform fantastically, it just doesn't look that great while doing it. Keep in mind that this is only my opinion, and somebody else might very well love the look the Provibe has. Take a look at the pictures, do you love it? That's all that matters.

The one part of the toy that I really don't enjoy is the chrome-like band near the base. I honestly can't tell whether it is metal or plastic and whichever it is, it doesn't seem to be very high quality. It cheapens the entire thing for me.

All that said, I truly enjoy its shape. The bend at the end just pushes it over the edge for prime G-spot penetration. I've never had a toy with such a wide, squishy head and I must say that I really enjoy it.

So, here's the deal with the Provibe and travel: if you are going to pack it in a bag, absolutely remove the battery pack. The bottom of this toy unscrews and reveals a rechargeable power source. Check out the picture below to really get an idea of what I'm talking about.

Because there is no lock function on the Provibe, removing the battery pack is the only way to ensure that it isn't accidentally turned on in your bag. The on/off button is so very sensitive. I have accidentally turned it on many times, mostly while unscrewing the battery pack to charge it.

One of my favorite parts about the Provibe is the fact that it's waterproof. Ensuring the waterproofness is a bit tricky, however. When the battery pack is being replaced, there is a little o-ring that acts to create a waterproof seal. I found that the o-ring likes to slide around a bit, so you really want to be sure that it's actually where it's supposed to go. Otherwise you'll end up with a gap in your seal that could potentially let some water in.

Other than that one strange quirk, I find that the Provibe preforms beautifully. There are 10 "Dynamic Rhythms" aka vibration patterns that are outlined very clearly on the packaging. See the picture below for more info on those.

I would say that this is a toy of average noisiness. I was aware of the sound in my house when things were very quiet, but if someone was watching tv or listening to music there was really nothing to be concerned about.

Honestly, I find the way that the Provibe charges to be really unusual but also quite handy. I have never had a rechargeable toy that had a battery pack. In a way, it is quite nice not to have a blatantly phallic object plugged into the wall.

Silicone is so easy to care for! A simple wash with soap and water is usually all you need to keep the Provibe clean and germ-free. If you're sharing this toy or using it anally, the easiest way to clean it is with a solution of water and 10% bleach. Toy wipes are also a really convenient way to clean up.

I give this toy a quick rinse before using it. Because the texture of the silicone is a bit sticky, it usually attracts dust, cat hair and other undesirables.

As with all silicone toys, be aware of the lube that you're using with the Provibe. Water-based lube is always a safe bet. Anything with silicone in it has the potential to have a reaction with the silicone of the toy and degrade it. Also be sure not to store the Provibe touching other silicone toys, because they could also react to each other poorly. This silicone-on-silicone reaction is really the only time that silicone can be temperamental. Everything else about the care of a silicone toy is so fuss-free and easy.

The Provibe came in a nice box with a very informative booklet. Because the toy charges in a fairly unorthodox way, I would have been lost without the booklet. The info about the vibration patterns was also super helpful and enlightening. I definitely appreciate the thought that was put into making the booklet, not all toys come with such useful information.
