Golly Gee, That's the Spot!

If you own the Mystic Wand, this attachment is a must have item which will vastly improve your wand, both by enhancing its current functions and by adding new functionality with the g-spot arm. It's also the softest, smoothest silicone you'll ever touch.

Pros
Directs the Mystic Wand's power to the G-spot. An improved texture for external use. Silicone.

Use

The Mystic Wand G-Spot Attachment adds internal reach to the Mystic Wand and the Rechargeable Mystic Wand from Vibratex. It can also be used externally, as an alternative to the heavily textured head on those wands. It's also safe for anal use, if you're coordinated enough to manage. If you own one of the Mystic Wands from Vibratex, this accessory is a must have item. Without a Mystic Wand, it's not going to do much.

The ideal use for the G-Spot Attachment is to target the g-spot with the powerful vibrations provided by the Mystic Wand.

Material / Texture

The Mystic Wand G-Spot Attachment is made of a wonderful velvety silicone that feels divine against the skin and has very little drag to it. It has plenty of flexibility without being floppy, so it can bend with your body to reach the g-spot and provide adequate pressure once it gets there. The clitoral attachment looks a little scary in pictures, but it's actually very soft and comfortable. The internal portion is smooth, as is the surface of what I'm going to call the rear of the toy. The sides have gentle texture which can be enjoyed externally in two different ways.

Beginners and jaded old reviewers alike should find a surface or two that will enhance the Mystic Wand for them.

Being silicone, this attachment is odorless, non-porous, and free of both phthalates and latex.

Design / Shape / Size

While this g-spot attachment might not reach every g-spot, it's likely to reach many. The flexibility helps, and women who can find their g-spot with something like the Lelo Ella will probably have good luck with it. The clitoral attachment, meant to act as a dual stimulator, will of course not work for everyone, but considering the strength of the Mystic Wand, I for one was pleased to be able to angle the bulk of the vibrations away from that area. I found that the attachment did exactly as promised for me -- it targeted the g-spot with the strong vibrations of the Mystic Wand, which previously only served me as a shoulder massager, as it was too much for me as a clitoral vibrator.

Size-wise, the G-Spot Attachment is fairly small, with an insertable length of only three and a half inches, and a width of about an inch and a quarter at the widest point on the head. Those brand new to penetration may want to think twice about it as a first toy, not because of the size, which is certainly manageable for most, but more due to the power and lack of versatility.

As for discretion, if you leave this attachment on your Mystic Wand, you'll ruin your ability to pass it off as an innocent shoulder massager, and anyone at all familiar with sex toys will recognize the purpose of it whether it's with the Mystic Wand or not. However, your more gullible snoops might not notice it, as it's not realistic or even particularly phallic. For travel, it would of course be packed with the Mystic Wand, eliminating discretion. TSA has certainly seen many wand attachments before, considering the popularity of the Hitachi.

Functions / Performance / Controls

For specific functions, I'd refer you to my review of the Mystic Wand, but I'll review them now as they apply specifically to the usefulness of the attachment. Remember, these are functions of the wand with the attachment in place, not functions of the attachment itself. The wand does not come with the attachment.

The Mystic Wand has three power levels of steady vibration, all of which transmit very nicely through the silicone of the attachment. I found the second setting to be more than adequate internally, while even the first setting is too much for me externally. The third level blew my socks off.

As for the patterns, the thuddy pulse pattern didn't feel significantly stronger than the Lelo Gigi's similar pattern, but the two escalation patterns felt exceptionally strong.

Externally, the toy felt almost exactly the same with the attachment as without, at least so far as strength of vibration. However, the various textures offered by the attachment were a vast improvement over the severe texture of the toy itself. The back of the attachment offered a satiny smooth surface with almost no drag, and the texture on the sides was interesting without being at all overwhelming.

Overall, the Mystic Wand is a good toy, but the attachment improves it significantly, and I highly recommend it.

Care and Maintenance

While the Mystic Wand itself is not waterproof, the attachment doesn't contain any electrical or mechanical parts, and therefore can be submerged in hot soapy water for cleaning -- provided you remove it from the wand first, of course. It can also be wiped down with a ten percent bleach solution, boiled, or run through the dishwasher, sans detergent, if sterilization is required. Remember to always sterilize toys when switching between users or orifices. Both the wand and the attachment can also be cleaned with toy cleaner or wipes, and should be given a once over before use as well as after.

Personally, I recommend water based lubricants with silicone. The chemicals that keep silicone liquid in silicone based lubes might seek to liquefy your toy, and while there are exceptions it's better safe than sorry, since melted toys aren't any fun at all. Some oil based lubes can also be used with pure silicone, but as they can react with silicone composites -- that is, toys that aren't one hundred percent silicone -- sticking to water based lubes is probably a good habit with your toys, unless you're willing to take the time to spot test each toy.

For storage, the Mystic Wand comes with a little white bag, which sadly enough is not large enough to accommodate the attachment. I moved them both into a cosmetics bag, and gave the Mystic Wand's bag to another toy. Since both the Mystic Wand and the attachment are made from pure silicone, it is safe for them to touch each other in storage, but remember to keep them out of contact with jelly, PVC, TPR, TPE, silicone composites, and skinlike materials, as the chemicals in some of those materials will seek to bond with your silicone, ruining your precious toys. Any kind of lint free separator bag will serve this purpose quite nicely, or you could hide the toys in a sock, and no one would be the wiser, just remember to rinse away any lint before use.

Packaging

This attachment arrived in a plastic container with a cardboard insert naming and describing the toy. Since the toy was visible through the packaging, it wasn't wildly discreet, but it was free of semi naked models and the like, so it was tasteful enough.

I recycled it promptly.

Personal comments

This attachment redeemed the Mystic Wand for me. Previously, it was too strong, but with this attachment, I was able to redirect that strength to parts that appreciate it, rather than cringe from it. Additionally, I'm in love with the wonderful Japanese silicone that is similar to the super soft silicone of the Rosebud, and not at all like that of the much draggier silicone on the Mystic Wand itself.
