Good fun, but nothing special

The Desire has a good price, decent quality, and a good feeling. However, it's not the best toy around. It's almost impossible for me to get off with this toy. Its vibration doesn't feel like anything to write home about — it's just a nice sensation. I'm a little disappointed and probably won't buy another, but I'm keeping this one for the variety. It's still a good toy.

somewhat useful review
Unfortunately to say, I've had not the best experience with the L'Amour brand. The Desire is the second vibrator I've purchased from them. The first being the L'Amour Romance from a different website, which was a terrible experience. I've received and returned a total of three Romance massagers because none of them ever worked. I put brand new AA batteries in all three, followed instructions, pressed the buttons, and I could never get any of them to turn on, and was quite disappointed. I gave up on the Romance and tried this one instead. The Desire did work, which was very cool, but I wasn't super impressed. The Desire was quiet which was nice, but it was almost so smooth of a vibration that it felt like it wasn't moving at all, just buzzing. Personally, I need to feel a slightly coarser and slower vibration than what this toy provides, which is more of a continuous vibration in very high speed. I admit it's very tricky for me to orgasm, but I don't think this one could do it by the way it vibrates. I imagine that's more of a personal issue than anything else though.

The battery cap can come undone fairly easily. The gasket keeping water out is thin. I was afraid to take the Desire into the shower or get it too wet, for fear that water might ruin the toy with a short-circuit. On the same note, because of the texture of the product, it wouldn't slide in or out without a little struggle unless you get the toy lubricated or wet. I haven't had the same issue with any other toys. The size is average for what I purchased, but this vibrator is the first that the friction of the material has required lubricant. Normally my arousal moisture is enough.

I have also noticed, for some reason, that the material could build up those really bad static electricity, of all things. If I set the Desire in my dresser drawer and pull it out an hour later, there will be all kinds of fuzzies and hairs clung to it (which I find weird). I can wash the toy, dry it, keep it in a safe place, and it will still find things to magnetize to its surface (which means wiping it down again before I use it). The Desire is not a BAD toy, but it's not the best one I've had.

Thanks for alerting us of the downfalls. Looks like the Eden line is better, lower priced, and more functional.
