Pleasure doppler - g-spot vibrator discontinued by Cal Exotics - review by Boobs and Lubes

The Pleasure Doppler by California Exotics is a nice Clitoral vibrator. It's marketed as a G-spot vibrator but some may find it difficult hitting "the spot" as it's a shorter toy. For shallower G-spots it should do fine; that wasn't the case in our experience, but everyone is different. The vibration originates in the head of the toy which helps and I usually have no problem with moderate vibration but I preferred to cum with intercourse instead of letting the Doppler finish me off. The size of the head was good to get to my clit and if I was alone it could have done the trick. I usually do not use toys in the tub so we did not check its waterproof ability outside of washing the whole toy which did not harm it.

The Doppler is made of Velvet Cote. It has a velvety soft feeling when dry, but when the toy is lubricated it becomes completely smooth. I would not suggest using this toy dry, but if you were to use it externally, powder could make for an interesting feel combined with the velvety texture. The Doppler was odorless when we unpacked it. It's an interesting material that most should try, to see how/if they like it.

The Pleasure Doppler is a rigid toy and the Rubber Cote covers rigid plastic; the neck has no give to it. It very much compares to the other G-spot vibrators on this site and on the market. The exception being that it's a bit shorter and bulbous. Those qualities may match up very well for those who like fuller and more shallow fits for G-spot stimulation.

The Pleasure Doppler houses the vibration motor in the bulbous head. The batteries are stored in the handle. We have had the same batteries in the toy for 3 uses and so far no sign of weakening vibrations. The vibrations are mild to moderate. It does not provide vibrations as strong as the Slimline G (see our review), which has a similar but sleeker shape. The toy is relatively noisy; it should be stronger for the sound it makes and the battery power it's supplied. The controls are simple, and intuitive. There is no click to the dial to turn the toy on or off, a positive on or off would help save batteries when not being used. A follow up review will explain how it affects the battery life in the long run. The dial isn't that sensitive; for those who love low rumbly vibrations it may be difficult to get them with this dial. As stated earlier, we did not use this underwater but we did submerge it during cleaning with no ill effects. There is a groove around the metallic looking sleeve under the bulbous head; it would be better crafted if it were seamless.

The plastic cote covering can be used with water or silicone based lubes. It is certainly not dishwasher safe; however, it cleans easily with soapy water. We make sure the area around the neck is dry as there is a plastic sleeve that may trap water or fluids; care should be taken to address that area.

The Doppler came in a clear plastic box that was unassuming. If the kids happen upon it there is no naked woman holding the toy. It cannot be used for storage, but it does show it off nicely.

It's a decent toy for the price but I'm sticking to my slimline for clitoral stimulation.

I liked the pleasure Doppler but in comparison to the slimline G it's just not as powerful. The texture was fun and maybe I can use this as a warm up toy, or in a bind. The bulbous head filled my lips nicely and its appeal was the larger head. The design was good; the execution was just okay.
