Great colors and design
I absolutely love my LAYAspot. The moderate price, curved design, wide range of vibration intensity, and easy to clean materials makes this my ultimate toy. The awesome color choices are really the icing on the cake!Published: January 17, 2012

I will start off saying that I LOVE LOVE LOVE the colors available for the LAYAspot. I honestly wish I could buy every toy on my wish list in the pistachio/raspberry color scheme of my LAYAspot. The fun colors really increase my love of this toy.
The LAYAspot's shape is small and intuitive. It is gently curved to cradle your pubic bone and lady parts, which I find especially attractive as I'm a lay-on-my-stomach sort of masturbator. Laying prone with this toy nestled in place makes for a fun, hands-free time! But this toy has also been useful when used with a partner. Especially in the missionary or cowgirl positions, LAYAspot stays more or less in place, though it occasionally needs some minor shifting once the action get hot and heavy (and slippery).
This toy's cap, the area around the buttons, and a small spot underneath are hard plastic. But the areas that come in contact with your body, such as the buttons and the rounded, wide tip are Elastomed, which gives your clit a firm but silicone-like, satiny texture to rub around on. These materials are non-porous and easy to clean with just soap and water. This toy is supposed to be waterproof, but I've yet to test that feature!
And speaking of the buttons, they are very easy to press but are out of the way during use. The LAYAspot turns on when the larger button marked with a "+" is held for a moment. The buttons light up red while the toy is on, and you can increase the intensity of the vibration by simply pressing or holding the plus button. Once you get to the strongest setting, pressing the plus button again turns on a pulsing vibration, which has three settings that are cycled through using the plus button. To return to a steady vibration or reduce the vibration's intensity, just press the smaller button marked with a "-", and to turn off the LAYAspot, just keep holding the minus button until the light goes off.
I find that the LAYAspot is quite intense when the batteries are new. As the batteries age, the vibrations get weaker. Overall I would give the LAYAspot 3 vrooms, but on the highest steady setting with fresh batteries, I give it 4!

Experience
When I first got this toy it was very quiet, and only recently has something changed and its bees increased. This is most likely due to me dropping it rather than the toy's design, as I have also cracked a small chip off the cap (which thankfully was fixed with some superglue!).
While I love my LAYAspot, I wouldn't call it discreet. The size, shape, and crazy colors seem to tip off that this is, in fact, a sex toy. I usually keep it out of site, but I once left it on my night stand and my father happened to see it and instantly knew what it was.

So, I just posted a review of this toy on my blog and and am rereading some reviews here. I am seeing some discrepencies and have a few questions for you.
Some reviewers state that this is a waterproof toy but my instructions clearly state that it is only splashproof. Perhaps the instructions have changed? Maybe Fun Factory decided it wasn't really waterproof? If you have this toy, what did your instructions say?
Furthermore, a few people said that they received silicone based BodyFluid with their LayaSpot but I received their water based lube and, again, my instructions said not to use silicone based lube (I believe, can't find them).
Also, I think it's just me but my Layaspot pretty much smelled god awful when I got it. Anyone else?
