The best use for this particular hands free vibrator is solo use or partner assisted masturbation. Couples looking to add a little something extra to their foreplay will also find the Micro Butterfly a fun addition to liven up a Saturday or special event.

The Micro Butterfly provides pretty strong vibrations along its main body surface area, roughly the size of a thumbprint. Once adjusted into place, the clitoris is fully covered.

The Micro Butterfly's main casing is a semi-hard yellow jelly that is molded with slightly raised, smooth ridges on the underside. The semi-firm ridges provide added stimulation as the toy oscillates from the vibrations.

Holding the hands free vibrator in place are two black nylon elastic leg straps that are attached to the Micro Butterfly on its four corners. Picture two separate pieces of nylon elastic that are made into loops by attaching their tops ends to the top corners of the Butterfly and the bottom ends to the bottom corners.

Although the jelly material feels relatively firm and durable, the nylon elastic can easily tear through it if care isn't used when putting on and taking off the Micro Butterfly.

While the straps are advertised as one size fits all, they are not. At a size 6, they were tight for my fiance. Aa 14 or higher I would assume a person would start losing circulation.

The Micro Butterfly is fairly small, roughly 2" X 2", plus the leg straps, battery cord and controller. It can easily be hidden, which is a good thing because with the straps and controller I doubt anyone could miss identifying it as a vibrator from across the room. I'd say leaving it out in plain sight is only about one step down from leaving a standing dildo sitting on the top of your dresser.

For the simple reason that we weren't able to effectively use this toy during sex, we did not like the design. The placement of the power cord, straps and part of the plastic body prevents any kind of simultaneous sex play. In fact, due to a poor strap design, any large movements will move the vibrator off its intended location.

Because the straps are one size fits all, it can take a little while to get everything into the right place so it's stimulating the right spot and won't slip off with movement.

My fiance was impressed with the intensity of the Micro Butterfly's vibrations when everything was in the correct spot. This was by far the best feature of the vibrator. However, because she is very specific in her stimulation areas and found herself having to readjust the straps and toy back into place, it became much less useful. Add in the fact that it had to be removed for sex and the convenience just wasn't there.

You can easily adjust the Butterfly's settings from low to high with a slide dial on the control box. The box is connected to the Butterfly via a 4-ft cord. The cord length is perfect, making the controller easily accessible to either partner. It is firmly mounted to the Butterfly so an accidental cord tug isn't likely to destroy it. However, it is not waterproof, so bathtub/hot tub use is definitely out.

Maintenance of the Micro Butterfly will require 2 AA batteries every couple of months and periodic inspection of the holes in the Butterfly jelly shell where the straps are attached.

The Micro Butterfly is essentially non-porous, so cleaning is easy. After usage, wipe it down with toy cleaner or just use a soapy washcloth.
