Bunny finger friend - finger massager discontinued by Doc Johnson - review by Breas

The Bunny Finger Friend by Doc Johnson is available in the colours pink or blue. I have the pink coloured Bunny Friend. The toy arrived in a plastic package. The toy can be seen through the front of the packaging. The front states the company name, product name, and states a few product features. The back of the packaging states more product features, the company website, and company contact information. I don’t find the packaging to be ideal for storing the toy, just because it’s a small toy in a rather large packaging. You could use the packaging for storage, but I prefer to keep my toy in my toy chest.



The vibrator is made of ABS (plastic) and the sleeve that goes onto the vibrator is made of silicone. The bullet vibrator is a hard plastic but the sleeve is flexible. The ears on the sleeves can be bent completely forward or backwards. The ring hole on the sleeve is also stretchy. When using the sleeve, be sure to use only water-based lubricants.

The pink colour looks red in the stock photo but it’s actually a hot pink in real life. The bunny has two ears to use for clitoral stimulation. Beneath the ears, the sleeve has a swirled texture. The rest of the sleeve (1 inch) is completely smooth. Luckily, there is no face to the bunny (eyes, etc). I've never been interested in toys with little faces on them so this is a pro for me. The silicone material does have a bit of drag to it when rubbing it against the skin, but this can be remedied with a bit of lubricant.



The toy requires 3 watch batteries, which are included. The batteries are already in the bullet when it arrives. To activate the toy, you’ll need to take the little piece of paper out from within the battery compartment. The battery compartment is opened at the bottom of the bullet with a twist cap. The cap is very easy to twist on and off of the bullet. There is a clear O-ring around the compartment to ensure that water does not leak into it. The toy is waterproof so it can be used in the shower or bath.

Once you’ve taken the piece of paper out from the battery compartment, the toy is ready to use. The sleeve slips onto the bullet like a glove. The finger hole fits onto my pointer finger well (see measurements above) but the material does have some stretch to it if you have thicker fingers.



There is only one button to the toy and it is located on the bottom of the bullet. To turn the toy on, press the button once. You’re met with a low, constant vibration. To access the other functions, just click the button to cycle through them. The functions are as follows:

1. low, constant vibration
2. medium, constant vibration
3. high, constant vibration
4. escalating pulsations
5. medium, pulsating
6. long, pulsating
7. short, pulsating
8. stronger medium, pulsating
9. stronger long, pulsating
10. stronger short, pulsating

It was actually hard to tell the difference between the different strengths of pulsating functions. I’m pretty sure that the last 3 are just a tad bit stronger than function number 5-7. To turn the bullet off, hold the button down for a couple of seconds. If you turn the vibrator off and then back on again, you will be back at the beginning of the functions regardless of which function you last left off on.

When I used the toy, I stuck with the high, constant vibration because I’m a bit of a power queen. The vibrations were not as powerful as I would have liked but on the highest setting, the vibration intensity should satisfy the average toy user. If you’re a power queen, don’t expect a mind-blowing experience with the toy.

The vibrations are more buzzy than rumbly. The vibrations can be felt through the ears of the bunny because they are so thin. The vibrations have a harder time getting through the silicone material at the rest of the sleeve. When I used the toy, the bunny ears tickled the area it was applied to. It was a teasing feeling. When I tried applying more pressure, the vibrations weakened.

The vibrations give off a buzzing noise. As you increase the vibration intensity, the noise level increases as well. The toy cannot be heard through a closed door but it can be heard from beneath the covers. The toy does not heat up during prolonged use and because the vibrations have a hard time translating through the silicone, your fingers/hands do not become numb.

Cleaning the toy is easy because it is waterproof so it can be submerged in water. To clean the toy you can use soap and water, toy wipes, or toy cleaner. The sleeve (not the bullet) can be disinfected by boiling it, or putting the sleeve on the top rack of your dishwasher.

Overall, this toy is cute and would be good for most toy users but not for power-queens like myself. I’ve deducted two stars from the rating for the lack of power and the fact that it takes watch batteries. If you enjoy buzzy vibrations that are low-moderately intense, you’ll enjoy the Bunny Finger Friend.

The bunny finger friend is cute, but it doesn't have the strength or vibration type that I need. This isn't a toy that I would recommend if you are into the more rumbly strong vibrations like I am.
