Great rabbit style vibe, great price
This vibrator offers amazing satisfaction at an economical price! New toys come and go but this has been a staple in my toy box for almost 8 years!Published: October 14, 2008
Pros:
Economical, Strong motors, unstoppable beads, great solo or with a partner, never fails to satisfy
Cons:
Not as hygenic as other materials, Controls fail in less than a year, moderately loud
Years ago a friend of mine asked me to help her shop for her first vibrator. She wanted something economical, strong but adjustable power, and a larger size. We both bought the Blue Dolphin and later when she called to thank me, I understood exactly what she was referring to... the Blue Dolphin was extremely satisfying!
My favorite features of the Blue Dolphin are the strong power and unstoppable tracked beads. The stronger power comes from the 'C' batteries which require a seperate control pack. Some view this as a downside, but I've found that it allows for greater control and versatility. When going solo, I find it easier to use one hand to adjust the motors while the other works the insertable portion to find the most satisfying position and rhythm. When with my partner, I can work the motor controls while he fucks me silly with the insertable portion or vice versa while he was watching and learning how I liked it. The motors for the clitoral stimulator and shaft are both powerful and durable, although fairly loud. And the tracked beads are awesome! They never jam and continue to stimulate even during the most powerful orgasms!
The jelly material is soft and slick. There is a very slight smell to it but it isn't offensive or distracting. Unlike silicone, it's safe to use with your favorite silicone based lubricant as well as water based lubes. It's easy to clean with warm water and mild soap but can't be sterilized with boiling water so be sure to put a condom over it if you are going to share it with others.
The Blue Dolphin is not very long (5" insertable) but has a fairly wide girth(1 3/4"). The proportions are irregular, being wider at the head and tapering slightly down the shaft but it didn't feel funny to use. I found that the wider top portion fills the inside of the vagina and effectively hits the g-spot while the slimmer section with the tracked beads still gives loads of sensation.
The ONLY problem I've experienced with this product is the control pack. After a few months of regular use, the control pack melts right in between the two slides. It starts with loss of adjustability but eventually the motors can't be turned on at all. I've bought quite a few Blue Dolphins and had the same problem occur with each one. However, at less than $40, I don't mind buying a new one once or twice a year. The pleasure it provides is well worth it!

anyone familiar with how long this has been out of stock? thanks :)

Not off the top of my head. If you're wanting to buy it I'd set an alert to be notified when it comes back into stock, or you could submit a support ticket to see if customer service knows when it might be available again.

oh thank you, I hadn't thought of sending a support ticket. :)

Thank you for viewing Blue dolphin – rabbit vibrator review page!

The other issue with jelly is phthalates content (softening chemicals) which contribute to the smell and can irritate.
I agree (though I don't often use dual action vibes) that a remote battery back seems to offer much more convenience.
I'm wondering why you don't find a higher-priced rechargeable or plug-in toy instead of just replacing this one.
I have tried a lot of different vibes (different styles, different power sources, impulse 'midnight' shopping trip buys, to well researched high end models, Different makes:Japenese, German, Hong kong, who knows, $15- $250) As far as battery powered rabbit style vibes go, this model consistantly satisfies. The motors are on the loud side but powerful and durable, in the high end models I've found the motors to be quieter but don't deliver with power or durability. Electric (plug-ins) are great but don't offer the flexibility of use.
If you think about the money, even if I go through 2 a year over 2 years time its $160. The only vibes I have that have lasted more than two years are the ones I don't use.
I'm still in search of the 'holy grail' of vibes, but for now I have the disposable and dependable Dolphin.

Good review. The C batteries thing seems annoying though...
Appreciate the review and happy you're so excited about it! I have to say that the C batteries seem to be a negative, imo.
Thanks for the review.
I don't like the battery thing though.
