Heartbreaker broke my heart

This toy? It's not worth it. It's not worth what? It's not worth your time, your money, your hard earned points, being in or near your body, being an option, being a toy... It's not worth it. 2 stars is generous for this toy, and I only gave it that for those who like pointy g-spot stimulation.

Use

This cherry red (or pink, if you like that version better) is fairly versatile in theory. The head comes to a fairly pinpoint tip, which is good for clitoral stimulation, and the shape also makes it useful for massaging away sore muscles. It also has a broader part of the head for more dispersed clitoral stimulation, but it all depends on what sort of vibrations you like.

Because of the shape, the design was intended to be best for insertion. It has a bit of a curve and head to it, which ideally will hit your g-spot. Its firmness and curve will be effective for a lot of people, and the shape makes it fairly easy to accurately thrust with it.

While this could be inserted anally, I definitely don't recommend it. It has no flared base and, while it does have a long handle to hold on to, it would be super easy for it to slip out of your grasp. If looking for an anal vibrator, Eden offers many other things designed for that purpose, so I wouldn't take the chance with this toy.

The design of this would make it an okay couple’s toy, but I would recommend going for something less rigid or less pointy. It's easy to accidentally bruise a partner with something firm and pointy, so if you do use this as a couple, communication is key.

As a first time toy, the versatile use would make this a good bet. Read on for reasons why it WOULDN'T be a good bet, but use wise I wouldn't deter you from getting it.

This toy does NOT pass Ryu's dorm seal of approval. While its waterproof, made of good materials, and easy to store, the volume levels that this toy offers aren't compatible with my lifestyle.

Material / Texture

The Heartbreaker is made of firm, velvety plastic. Plastic is rated an 8 out of 10 on the Eden safety scale. It's completely nonporous and, along with normal cleaning, can be disinfected by wiping it down with a 10% bleach solution. This means that you can share it between users with some extra care, and that it will last a longer time because the material won't break down.

The toy itself has a bit of texture and a design on the front, but despite the firm material they can't be felt during use. If you're very texture sensitive you may notice them a bit, but the average women won't get anything out of or be bothered by the added raised symbol on the front of the toy.

Plastic is a great material for both beginners and advanced users. It doesn't take much lube at all to get it slick, it's super easy to clean, and it's safe. I would recommend being careful with firm materials because they can bruise you if you get too careless, but they are a great alternative to rubber or jelly toys for a similar price.

Design / Shape / Size

Design wise, this toy is essentially the same shape as the smaller vibe by Hustler (The Lil Helper ) but it's not very easy to see that from the product page. It has a long shaft and body, but at the end it comes to a curve and a point about 120 degrees from the shaft of the toy.

This makes for easier g-spot stimulation if you don't want or need a firm curve, but it also makes for more 'pointy' thrusting. The 'pointy' thrusting means that it's more pinpoint and focused, but I personally like more gentle and round pressure on my g-spot.

I personally find this design to be easy to 'overstimulate' myself or leave myself feeling bruised, especially because of the firm material. I know that some people really like toys this pointy, but I feel like that's something not everyone's going to be able to handle.

The Heartbreaker is 6.5 inches long altogether, which is a bit smaller than I expected. At the tip, the widest point, it's 4.5 inches around but it feels much thinner than that. The shaft of the toy is more like 3 inches around, so it won't leave you feeling 'stretched.' This toy is not for size queens or those who need a lot of extra girth.

Because of the pointy design, I would not recommend this toy for beginners or people who are just looking to explore their body. I feel like the shape is for those who like more pinpoint pressure on their g-spot, and it means that you need to use caution when thrusting.

Functions / Performance / Controls

When I got this product, I was assuming that it would be about average for plastic vibrators in this price range; buzzy, fairly strong, and moderately quiet. This is not at all what I got.

The vibrations in this toy are focused mainly in the handle of the toy, and are fairly strong in the shaft of this toy. This is nice if you don't like pinpoint g-spot pressure, but I feel like most women will turn this on, feel the tip, and wonder where all of the 'vroom' went.

These vibrations are buzzy in a way that I haven't encountered before. They are so topical, that a slight amount of topical pressure almost entirely muffles them. What this translates into is that if I hold the shaft of the toy, there are almost no vibrations carried to the tip of the toy at all. In real life, this means that, when inserted, the entrance to your vagina will feel some substantial power, but inside you won't feel anything at all other than the too-pointy tip.

Used externally, this has very similar problems. If you baaaarley touch it to your clitoris you can get some fairly powerful vibrations, but if you put any pressure behind the tip at all the vibrations just die.

There are 3 settings to this toy and they are as follows;
1- 1 vroom, 1.5 bees
2- 1.5 vrooms, 2 bees
3- 2 vrooms, 3 bees

You cycle through these by pressing the black button on the base of the toy. It's completely waterproof and has a thick o-ring, which makes this fine to take into the shower if you care to. I have used this in the shower and submerged it to clean it, and nether time have I had any problems.

If you like loud, weak vibrations, hate vibrations on your g-spot, or despise any pressure on your clitoris... You probably should look elsewhere for a cheaper alternative. I feel like the best reaction someone could have to this toy is being neutral, and that's if they're lucky.

Care and Maintenance

One of it's only good points, this toy is super easy to care for and store. I wash this with an antibacterial toy cleaner, but toy wipes or soap and water would work just as nicely for this job. Plastic is completely nonporous and can be disinfected with a 10% bleach solution. I recommend doing this if you plan on switching users or orifices. You should take extra care around the raised insignia on the bottom of this toy, but otherwise it's easy to care for.

I keep this in a cool, dark place with the rest of my toys. Because this isn't a lint magnet, you can also get away with just washing it after every use. I also should mention that plastic is compatible with all other toys and lubricants, so you don't have to worry about that.

Packaging

This toy came in a fairly tasteful Hustler box. It was made of cardboard and the toy is visible, and it also has a description of the purpose of the device. There's no way that you could pass this off as something else in the box, but it doesn't have any naked women on it or obscene descriptions.

You can use this for storage, but it's quite a bit larger than the toy itself. The packaging would also be fine to wrap up and give as a gift, but I would pity the poor girl (or guy) on the receiving end.

Experience

Usually when a toy doesn't work out for me, I just assume that 'we just weren't meant for eachother.' Every now and again, however, I end up with a toy that I feel is being spiteful to me personally. This is one of those.

I feel like it lured me in with the new brand name, the red color, the cute design, and the medium price tag. When I got it the packaging seemed nice enough. Trouble started when I put the batteries in and had to cycle right through due to the high noise levels. After making sure that no one was around to hear it, I was able to asses the power VS noise ratio.

I can't use this in the dorms, and even if the noise level was low enough I have a ton of other toys that aren't going to bruise me, are a better shape for my body, and that have a LOT more power. I don't think that ANYONE would be pleasantly surprised by this toy, and I personally wouldn't recommend it to anyone. I feel I'm being kind by giving it 2 stars.

Damn, that does look pointy! Sorry it turned out so crappily.

That tip may be just on the edge of what I could handle pointy-wise, but it would be pushing it. That said...loud, weak, and super buzzy? No thanks!! I was gonna get this too. Sorry it sucked, but thanks for the warning! The Hustlers 'Lil Helper seems overpriced for what you get and I don't have much hope for it either given what you say about this one. Think I'll be passing on the whole Hustler line.
