Every single (and not-single) woman in the world needs to own one of these. Every woman who gets off on strong vibrations, anyhow.

Pros:

Brings me to orgasm every time. Also really good for massaging out knots (not as sexy, but useful).

Cons:

This is NOT a quiet toy! It's length makes it difficult to use under winter sheets.

This toy was definitely designed

For the longest time I didn't know what the fuss was about - I kept hearing about the Hitachi Magic Wand, but had never seen one in the flesh (so to speak). All over the internet, sex-bloggers would rave about how much fun they had with their Hitachi... and I really didn't know what I was missing out on!

Then a friend bought hers to a play-party. And used it on me. Cue a hard, gushing orgasm within half a minute - and that was on the low setting. After a breather, the high-setting was introduced to me, setting off another gusher. I was in love.

Having raved about it for the rest of the party, watched two other friends be brought to orgasm with it, and then raved about it some more on Twitter, I promptly set out to own one of these myself (they're not available in New Zealand). Thanks to my wonderful sex-blogger friends, one was ordered and posted across the seas to me, to arrive a few weeks later. One quick stop to buy a step-down transformer, and I had a Hitachi Magic Wand of my very own.

The best purchase I've made this year, bar none.

Not only is the Hitachi Magic Wand absolutely fantastic for bringing me to orgasm - using it on myself, or having it used on me - I've also been discovering other nifty things I can do. Like, transmit vibrations through carefully placed pegs. Or rub the knot out of my shoulder (you know, like it was supposedly created for).

While the Hitachi is great with attachments (all hail the many that are out there), it also works really well on its own. Because I squirt/gush when I orgasm, I also place a condom on it first, covering both the head, the gap between head and wand, and the controls as well. It also makes the clean-up that much simpler.
