Pocket vibe extra - vibrator by WHK GmbH - review by ~LaUr3n~

The Pocket Vibe Extra is a good starter vibrator or for the person on a budget. It packs a big punch, but also sounds like a rocket going off so this isn't good if you need the noise level to be low. It does comes with 4 different attachments although not all of them feel good. There are many uses for this toy however, externally is can be used on the clit, outer labia, balls, pressure points on the feet, as a massage aid, or on the outer anus.

This toy is made of odorless, smooth, and hard plastic. It is a pink color that is see through so you can see the inner workings of the toy. The plastic is safe for the body although not completely non-porous. It is free of phthalates and latex as well as being hypo-allergenic and food-grade material. Since this toy isn't the best for use with a condom, if you want to share, it might be better to just designate a certain interchangeable top per person.

This pocket rocket is much larger in length than my other one, the Handy massager. This makes it less convenient for holding. It is 5 3/4" in total length and the surface area of the top is 3/4" across. This is a good contact size for massages. The top has 3 metal circles on it and I'm not sure what their purpose is. The top is where the 4 interchangeable tops attach to. They just pop on and off.

This toy is not the most obvious of toys. It kind of looks like a mini flashlight and could probably be left out without drawing to much attention. The length makes this toy a bit too big to fit in a purse, but because the material doesn't need to be covered to prevent dust and lint accumulation, it is good for travel.

To use this toy, you will need 2 AA batteries. My other one only needed one and was super powerful, so you can imagine the power that this vibe has! The toy came with an insert to show which way the batteries go, but this gets throw away. After putting the two batteries in, the toy becomes pretty heavy. Turn the shaft to the open position to put batteries in, the off position to keep the battery compartment closed, and on to obviously start the show.

And a show it was! I has no idea that this was also a pocket light saber! There is a light by the vibrating motor in the top of the toy. This kind of cracked me up. It makes the toy look like a lighted speculum in a way and kind of creeped me out. Although, it did make for a funny moment showing my boyfriend my fighting saber skills. I really feel that the lighting is a unnecessary. It doesn't add to this toy and just takes battery power away. Maybe that is the reason for the second battery since this toy actually feels only a little stronger than the other one I have with 1 battery.

The vibrations are strong and concentrated in the top few inches of the toy, where they are needed. There is only one speed, so if this is too strong for you, the other thing you can do is swap out for a weaker pair of batteries. Power doesn't always mean big orgasms though, this toy numbed me more than it did anything else if used on my clit. The vibration frequency was just to "rammy". I really liked using it for all over massage though. My guy liked it on the rim of his anus and under his balls. But that was a bit too much if held there for more than 10 seconds or so at a time. The interchangeable heads are not all useful. I like the rounded one best or not using the caps at all. The one with circles doesn't feel different, and the ones with spikes only felt good on my feet. They were too abrasive for the clit, nipples, anus, or other sensitive skin areas.

P.S. this toy is LOUD! I didn't even feel comfortable using it when I was at my parents house and my parents were on a different floor. This is not a good choice if you are trying to keep your play a secret. It also isn't waterproof as advertised. Where the water seal is, you can move the shaft way too much and I can actually see a small crack where water would then be able to get through. Do NOT use this in water.

This toy is super easy to clean and very low maintenance. You can take the caps and wash them with soapy water. Since the rest of the toy is not for insertion, that should be all you have to worry about. Since the caps are free from the toy, using the package to keep it all together is a good idea for storage. If you want to use lubrication you can use water or silicone.

The package is a simple plastic casing. It holds the four caps as well as the toy all visible to the front. There is a bit of false advertising though, this toy is not waterproof nor is it quiet. This toy was clearly made in a foreign country although it doesn't say which one anywhere. I found this odd. The back has a diagram of a foot which is to small to read without straining the eyes. it shows different areas and labels them with different body part names. There are no instructions for use however. The broken English cracked me up and so did the weird pictures, since there was a random anime picture thrown in amongst non-anime images.

I am giving this toy 2 stars. I don't like it nearly as much as the other one I own, plus it takes an additional battery unnecessarily. The vibration is powerful, but not the right match for me in terms of orgasm. The powerful vibration is much better for massages. The waterproof claim is false and so is the implication that this toy is quiet. Honestly it is a better light saber than anything else. If I had not tried the Handy Massager I have, I might have given this a higher rating. But, compared to that toy which is half the price, this one just doesn't compare.
