I call this helmet head.
When you first use it you think you will be climbing a mountain, but then find you are only climbing a foothill. It may work great for some people but just didn't do much for us. Although it has some good features.Published: October 27, 2008

I call this thing helmet head because it looks like something out of a science fiction movie. I think we all know which one I'm talking about. When we ordered our Hitachi Wand I saw that if you also ordered attachments for the wand you could save some money off the regular price of the attachments. After reading several other reviews about the Off with their head silicone Hitachi cap we wanted to give it a try for ourselves.
It has several good things about it. One, it is silicone that makes it a very safe product. Two, silicone products are also very easy to clean, you can wash them with soap and water, toy cleaner, boil them, and put them in the dishwasher. Three, it comes in a nice clear plastic tube so it was easy to store. Four, you have your choice of two different colors black or blue so you do have a choice. Five, it is easy to insert on what ever you decide to use it one (Hitachi, Ideal or Acuvibe) just pull while twisting on the head of the attachment and replace with the helmet head. Six, it is non porous so it doesn't require a lot of lube (make sure you only use WATER BASED lube with the helmet head because silicone may melt it). Seven, it has ridges on both sides one side has three ridges, the other side has one and they are different sizes.
Some people have said that the one ridge works like a small tongue and feels like oral sex. We have tried both sides and didn't find that to be true for us. Helmet head is used for external stimulation we have tried to insert it but it was uncomfortable kind of like being fisted. It works OK on the clit but just didn't live up to what we thought it would. We have also tried it anally it gives some sensation but nothing earth shaking. Make sure to use lube with this toy or you will be sorry because it will rub you raw.
It has proved to be high quality from Vixen Creations. I was worried about it ripping taking it on and off. We have changed it out several times and it still looks like new. We will continue to give it a second chance.

Found that the helmet head works better when we use it with Smart Balls in my wifes pussy. It makes the Smart Balls vibrate and makes my wife more prone to want her clit stimulated by the helmet head. When used by itself still just doesn't do it for us.

The black and gold versions of this toy have identical material safety. Due to the manufacturing process, the gold coloring is not even throughout the toy so it may not look exactly like the one in the photograph.

I seriously doubt it will rip. I also can't imagine how that might feel like oral sex, given the rigidity of silicone. Thanks for the review, I continue to contemplate getting one of these.
One of those cases where what works great for some might be less than stellar for others. I have been considering what cap I want to get to make the Hitachi more appealing to my partner, but I've been leaning more toward the ones designed for insertion. Thanks for your honest review.
