I do believe in fairies

This cute little miniature version of the Hitachi magic wand seems to pack a punch for its small size. Makes me want the other toys in the Fairy series.

Use

The Fairy Baby Wand is a miniature massage wand. It is best for clitoral stimulation and is not meant for insertion. This toy will work for anyone, couples, everyone, and solo play. I think it can be used in any occasion or situation and is perfectly sized for travel or going with you anywhere.

Material / Texture

The body of the Baby Fairy is constructed from hard, smooth plastic. It lists the material safety as 8 at Eden fantasy. The head, which is a little bit flexible, is smooth, rubbery and warms to the touch. There are a series of ridges around the head which add to the stimulation.

The head feels a bit porous, though so use care when sharing. It does not drag on the skin if you use lube, and then it is comfortable to use. There was no adverse smell, taste or texture to the wand. The wand is hypo-allergenic, latex free and phthalates free. It kind of reminds me of a bullet.
    • No odor
    • Smooth
    • Somewhat porous

Design / Shape / Size

The design is similar to the design of the Hitachi wand, just smaller.

It is only 2 and 7/8 inches in length, with the head measuring a fraction of that at 7/8 inches wide and 3/4 inches high. This makes it very discreet and perfect for traveling. Be sure to keep it in its clam shell case for travel, though, so you can keep track of the charging cord and prevent the wand from turning on by accident. I was also thinking of keeping it in a plastic zip lock bag so that the cord would be with it all the time. The charging cord looks like it might be proprietary so replacement might be kind of hard.

Functions / Performance / Controls

A slider switch on the front of the Baby Fairy turns it on and off. There is only one speed, which some may find to be a drawback. But the one speed available is quite powerful for such a small toy. This type of control is very convenient and makes the wand very easy to turn off quickly if needed. The vibrations can be felt throughout the wand, and are most intense in the slightly flexible head. As mentioned, the vibrations are on the buzzy side, and not deep and rumbly. Could be more for a quickie style play session in my opinion.

Sometimes the Baby Fairy produces more noise and other times it seems to be very quiet. It seems to me if the head is actually touching my skin it is less noisy than if it is not. It is not so much that it could be heard through a closed door, but someone in the same room could easily hear it. The noise level could be muffled by a low playing television or radio. The charging port is exposed and the Baby Fairy is not waterproof, so only use for dry land. No tub or shower play.

It was charged when I got it. I have used it several times and it still seems fully charged but I did plug it in to my computer's USB port to check it out. There is a light on the USB plug in that I think is on when charging and goes out when fully charged. It turns on while charging but since the plug is only 24 inches long I really don't think you could use it while it is charging.
    • Easy to use
    • Not enough variety

Care and Maintenance

This tiny little treasure is very easy to care for. Wash the head of the wand with soap and water or toy cleaner, making sure to get in the little ridges. Take care not to get any water in the charging port, though. If using soap and water makes you nervous, like it does me, use a toy wipe or washcloth for cleaning it instead. Either will give you more control and ensure that the charging port stays dry. Also, because of the open charging port, the wand cannot be sterilized for sharing, so use care when playing with others.

Feel free to use either a silicone or water based lubricant with it. If you use the Baby Fairy in conjunction with other toys, make sure the lubricant selected is compatible with the other toys as well. Do not use more than a drop or two, though, as you don't want any to get into the charging port and gunk it up or damage it. I found that just a little lube on my clit took care of any problem sliding it. I have also been using grape seed oil as a lubricant as was directed by a sexologist I know.
    • Easy to clean
    • Easy to store

Packaging

The Fairy Baby came in a plastic clamshell case with a slot for the wand and another slot for the USB charging cord. Most of the writing on it was in Japanese or Chinese. I could read Fairy Baby on the front and on the back I could read Designed in Japan and Made in China but could read nothing else. Right now I am keeping the case so I don't loose the USB cord but am thinking about a plastic zip lock bag. There were no user instructions in the package.
    • Discreet looking packaging
    • Good for storage
    • Minimal

Personal comments

The Baby Fairy comes with a little pink lanyard for using on a cell phone or key ring. I am not sure I would want to do that because it might pick up a lot of dirt or get banged too hard and break. Plus I am not sure I would want to explain what it was if asked. I could just see one of the kids asking "what's that?" Or worse yet, the pastor or his wife.

Experience

The Fairy Baby is not as strong as I was thinking it would be. I love using it but it has not affected my clit yet. Guess that just proves I have a clit-o-steel. Occasionally I will feel like I'm on the edge of the precipice, but so far no go. I have put it around the opening of my vagina but not in and it does feel pretty powerful then.
Follow-up commentary
I still like the fairy baby wand. I find I just have to keep the lubricant to a minimum, so none gets into the charging port. Oh, there are times I wish it was more powerful, but then again it does feel so good while I'm using it. I wish it was waterproof, but I can't ignore the fact that it does not need batteries, and it fits so nicely into a hand bag.
