Use

Cal Exotics 7 Function Power Play Bullet is an intense, single speed powerhouse with seven different patterns. It is made of ABS plastic with PU coat and is phthalate free, making this toy smooth and velvety to the touch. Glide it over your nipples, clitoris or anywhere else you'd like some external stimulation. As with other corded bullets, I would advise against using this anally because the cord can break. Making a trip to the ER to retrieve a lost bullet is not a turn on.

Material / Texture

This bullet is PU coated plastic, making it smooth, rigid and non-porous. There is very little drag so lubricant use is optional. The Power Play Bullet also has absolutely no texture. There is a seam along the middle of the bullet that I can only personally feel with my hand.

The Power Play Bullet has no detectable smell or taste, doesn't retain any odors, and appears to not attract hair or lint.

Design / Shape / Size

At 2 1/4" long with a 1" diameter ,the bullet end of the 7 Function Power Play is your basic bullet shape and size. The control pack is 4" long and about 2" wide and sits nicely in my hand. The cord is around 32" long and appears to be firmly attached to the control pack and bullet.

Unless someone has never seen a bullet toy and has no idea what it is for, the design is not very discreet. It looks like your average corded bullet. But it is small enough to hide with no problem and is easy to travel with as long as you remove the batteries first.

I honestly would consider this a toy geared more towards intermediate/advanced users because the vibration is intense and can not be lowered. So beginners might find the power a little too much if they are sensitive.

Functions / Performance / Controls

This toy is very easy to use and operate. There are only two buttons located on the control pack: ON/OFF and 7X. A satisfying click turns it on and off and the 7X button cycles through the different patterns. This toy has no memory, so when it is turned on, it starts at the first steady vibration setting and not where you shut it off at. The vibrations are intense and can be felt through the entire small bullet which, depending on how you position it, can be used for pinpoint or broader stimulation.

The seven functions of the bullet are:
1. Steady vibration
2. Very fast, continuous pulsating
3. Very fast pulses then a long, steady vibration that escalates to a higher long and steady vibration before starting over
4. Several fast pulsations that last about a second, followed by very fast, quicker pulsations then back again to the beginning
5. Steady vibration that starts out at the most powerful, drops down a notch then one more before reversing back to the highest
6. The best way I can describe function 6 is likening it to a song: fast pulsations sounding like dadaDAAAA (pause) dadaDAAAA (pause) dadaDAAAA DAAAA DAAAA then back to the beginning
7. Similar to function three, but instead the long vibration section between the fast pulsations stays the same intensity rather than starting out a little lower and increasing

The Power Play Bullet is labeled as waterproof, though only the bullet part is completely submersible. The control pack is only splashproof and should not be submerged. Also, I consider this to be about as noisy as your average corded bullet (can be heard in the same room, even under a blanket, but is hard to hear through a closed door). Unfortunately, like my other bullets, this one also tends to get a little louder and buzzier after many uses from the motor inside hitting against the plastic. The bullet also tends to heat up with extended use.

This toy is powered by three AAA batteries and the battery compartment is located on the bottom of the control pack. A gentle push unclicks the compartment, allowing you to slide it out, insert the batteries, and slide it back in. The battery compartment is flush with the bottom of the control pack, so there are no worries about accidentally opening it during use.

Care and Maintenance

Caring for this bullet is very easy. Because it is PU coated plastic, it is non-porous and compatible with all types of lubes (though the back of the package recommends using water-based lubricants). To clean, use soap and water, toy wipes, or toy cleaner. You can place the bullet part under running water to clean, but the control pack is only splashproof so wipe it down with a damp cloth or wipe. Because this is an electronic toy, you cannot boil it or place it in the dishwasher. However, you can sanitize it with rubbing alcohol or simply slip the bullet into a condom if you wish to share.

It is also very easy to hide or store. Place it in a plastic baggie or storage pouch and slip it into a drawer or toy box.

Packaging

The packaging for Cal Exotics 7 Function Power Play Bullet is your standard clear plastic clam shell. You can use the package for storage if you wish, but I prefer to throw it out and use a pouch instead. On the front of the paper inside the packaging, it lists the product's name and basic functions. On the back is a picture of the toy showing the open battery compartment and a warning that though the bullet is waterproof and submersible, the control pack is only splashproof. Also inside is a sheet of paper in multiple languages instructing how to insert batteries into several generic and unspecified types of vibrators.

Experience

I absolutely love bullets! I have used them during solo masturbation sessions and with a partner during sex. They always get the job done for me, and quickly! But with your average dial controlled bullet, I ALWAYS turned it straight up to the highest speed and left it there until I was done. I really had absolutely no use (or desire) for the lower speeds. So when I saw the 7 Function Power Play Bullet, I knew right away that this was my kind of toy.

I personally don't play with or care all that much for patterns, but they are definitely a nice added bonus. What I absolutely love about this toy is that with one little click of the ON button, it starts right at the highest vibration. Which is definitely all I need or want.

Being waterproof makes this toy even better and easier to clean! I set the control pack off to the side, making sure it won't get wet, and place the bullet under running water and add soap. Simple! Plus the soft, velvety coating feels wonderful and doesn't leave me yearning for lubrication.

But I do have to say that the best part of this toy is the little clicking ON/OFF button. I cannot tell you how many times I've accidentally turned on my regular dial controlled bullet while trying to put it away or when searching for something in my nightstand drawer. It's pretty embarrassing to have a bullet buzzing, thrashing about and thumping away from you as you try to quickly shut it off! So I absolutely LOVE the little clicking buttons on this toy.

My only problem with this is that it seems to be a little battery guzzler. With my regular Cal Ex bullet, I normally leave the batteries in there all the time and get quite a bit of play out of them before needing to recharge. With the Power Play, I noticed less power quickly and had to replace the batteries after only a few play sessions. Granted, I was using cheap dollar store batteries at first, but I did purchase rechargeable AAA's. I can't honestly say whether the rechargeables are lasting longer because I have admittedly been using this toy less simply because I've since purchased a MiMi.

I do absolutely love this toy though, and it will have a permanent home in my nightstand drawer and I would recommend it to anyone who loves high powered bullets.
Follow-up commentary
This will probably always be my favorite bullet! It's powerful but unfortunately also loud (as I said above in my review, I find bullets to get louder after many uses). If this were ever to break, I wouldn't hesitate in purchasing a new one. Though I honestly don't see it breaking anytime soon. My bullets usually last me at least a year, and I'm still favoring my new MiMi over this (mostly due to the fact that the MiMi is quieter).
