I Like It... But Do I Love It?

If you are beginning your vibrator collection, I would highly recommend the Twisted Hearts Seduction. The smooth texture and the variable speeds are great, while being both quiet and discreet. However, if you have a wide variety of vibrators, this is going to be just another 'me too' in your collection. Good product, good design, but nothing really 'great' about it.

Use

The Twisted Hearts Seduction by Doc Johnson is a beginner's vibrator with a twist. It is designed to look like a twisted valentine heart, with a bulbous tip and contours on the sides. When combined with a good lube, this toy glides across your body with strong vibrations.

In the wild world of vibrators, this toy is good but not great. It will get you off, but the design is nothing new, the twist-dial has been done before, and there is nothing unique or innovative about this product (except for the look).

At 5.5 inches long and about a half-inch wide, it is small enough to travel extremely well. I'd recommend this toy more for the hotel room than the bedroom, since there are so many other 'exotic' vibes out there to use.

Material / Texture

The vibrator is made with Phthalate-free TPR, which has its pros and cons:

PRO - TPR can be used with both water and silicone-based lubricants, meaning more versatility than a 'water only' toy.

PRO - TPR is durable, easy to clean, and is one of the least-porous materials out there. It is slightly porous though, so

CON - This toy cannot be boiled to be sterilized. Condom use is also highly recommended if sharing this toy. Slightly porous is still porous, so better safe than sorry.

The texture of this toy is smooth and bulbous. The contours of the hearts have small areas that could be uncomfortable for some, but the large head is incredibly smooth.
    • Bumpy
    • No odor
    • Somewhat porous

Design / Shape / Size

Imagine taking a valentine-esque heart, splitting it down the middle, and twisting the ends around. The toy was designed to look like a twisted heart, and it does a fairly good job.

The toy is 5 1/2 inches long, has a circumference of 5 1/4 inches, and a diameter of 1 5/8". The dial on the bottom twists to turn on, and to escalate the vibrations. The same dial opens the battery compartment, where 2 AA Batteries will give you about 2-3 hours of vibrations before it starts to fade and die.

Size-wise, this toy fits easily in your hand, and is easy to control comfortably. It is a clitoral vibrator, so you won't need to worry about positioning yourself for insertion.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The performance of this vibrator is where it really shines. The vibrations are intense and quiet; a perfect combination when in a hotel room or when trying to be discreet.

The dial on the bottom will escalate the vibrations from a soft hum to a powerful, toe-curling buzz. The transition as you dial it up is smooth, and you won't feel a jump from 'low' to 'medium' or 'high.' Even at the highest setting, battery life is decent. Expect 2-3 hours of playtime for each pair of AA's you put in your toy.

The controls are easy to use, even if a little lube gets on your hands. The base is large enough to grip firmly, but not too large to feel cumbersome. While the design is artistic, the feel in your hands (and between your legs) is just right.
    • Discreet sound
    • Easy to use
    • Multiple settings

Care and Maintenance

One of the benefits of TPR, though slightly porous, is the ease of cleaning. Soap & Water, or high-quality anti-bacterial soap will do the trick nicely. TPR is an easy-to-store product as well, as it doesn't attract dust and dirt as much as other materials.

This is easily one of the lower-maintenance toys I own.
    • Easy to clean
    • Easy to store

Packaging

The packaging looks nice, but feels like it's trying too hard...

The "designed for women by women" is a nice message, but I wonder if it really helps sell this toy. I personally buy vibrators based on design, reviews and price. Whether made by a man, woman or machine, if it does the job, that's all I need.

The packaging is minimal, and recycles. Both great points worth noting.
    • Minimal
    • Not discreet
    • Recyclable
Follow-up commentary
Fun for 'during sex' play, but not the best masturbation-foreplay vibe. It's good, but not great. But it's still good.
