Improperly Fitted Wonder

I love this sleeve, and am definitely thankful for having this wonderful little addition. For sensations, this toy is definitely not lacking! If it fit properly, the pleasure dome would get a 10 out of 10 from me, but as it stands I still highly recommend it!

Use

This Pleasure Dome Hitachi head is made to provide extra stimulation, by adding a nubby feel to your otherwise smooth toy. This toy is definitely for women, as it's designed to rub against the clit; however, it can definitely be used on the nipples as well. The Pleasure Dome is fantastic for solo masturbation. Though couples can have fun, seeing as rubbing against the nubs can provide a very sexy view for a partner watching (and even using) this toy in action.

Material / Texture

The Pleasure Dome is a silicone sleeve meant to fit over the head of a Hitachi vibrator. It has a slight rubbery feel to it and the surface is covered in nubs that feel incredible when placed against sensitive parts (while the Hitachi is on). Combined with the strong vibrations from the Hitachi, this provides an incredibly strong stimulation and is definitely not recommended for beginners or those who only enjoy softer stimulation.

Design / Shape / Size

The toy is soft lavender with sparkles tossed in for extra cuteness. I think it's a pretty little sleeve, and it's definitely the most (read: only) adorable Hitachi attachment ever. It's always nice to have an aesthetically appealing toy.

Personally, while I enjoy the toy as a whole, the design of the Pleasure Dome I received was extremely flawed. It does not even fit over the head of the Hitachi properly! At first, when pulling the silicone against the head of my toy, I assumed it was simply going to be a tight fit, which would have been perfect. But, after struggling for 10 full minutes, I found that it the head of the Hitachi simply does not fit into this sleeve! I offered it to my partner to try, and he couldn't manage it either. Despite both our efforts, there is about 3mm of white Hitachi space that the silicone slips on. (The actual photo shows the sleeve covering the head completely, and not even snugly.) Perhaps this was a manufacturing error, but regardless, it's a frustration that can be overlooked.

Functions / Performance / Controls

This sleeve is waterproof, but the toy it is most often used on certainly isn't. For someone who just wants to play with nubs, it can certainly be used anywhere in any way, under the water and out. But, for the most part, it's an addition to an already fun toy. For me, it felt fantastic—the vibrating nubs were exciting. However, turning the Hitachi on high with the pleasure dome was definitely too much stimulation for me!

Care and Maintenance

One fantastic feature of the Pleasure Dome is the fact that you never have to worry about cleaning the clunky Hitachi's head after you play! Personally, I found that consistently using this head on the Hitachi was fantastic due to how easy this waterproof dome is to clean. Silicone is beautiful in that you can fully disinfect it by boiling it for only 3 minutes! But if you don't have enough privacy to boil a sparkly, nubby Pleasure Dome in your kitchen, never fear! Using hot water and soap in a bathroom sink is perfectly adequate for cleaning this sleeve.

As for storage, it's quite tiny and can be hidden in a purse, a pocket, a drawer, and pretty much anywhere you like. Though I don't recommend storing it in plain sight, unless you enjoy awkward questions.

Now it's both improperly fitted and broken. Eventually it got tired of stretching over the head of the Hitachi and ripped entirely. Pretty disappointing, but I expected as much of the too-small sleeve. I'll be on the market for a Hitachi sleeve that actually fits.

It is my understanding that the manufacturer in Australia, "Downunder Toys", has made a recent significant design change. Instead of fitting over the wands outer white cushion, it now fits only after the original wand cushion is removed. This makes the overall size of the Pleasure Dome smaller, and so it is probably more effective. So note, as I understand, you must now pry off the wands cushion before installing.

Mr. John: Really? That's quite odd, particularly due to the fact that the image that Downunder includes shows it fitting over the cushion. I don't believe my hitachi has a removable cushion, and I've played with it before to see if it popped out, and no dice. I'll try seeing how it fits on the Fairy once I get one

Absolutely, Rhazya! I'd hazard a guess to say if the Hitachi head was about half an inch smaller in diameter it might fit snugly. But, the sleeve kind of destroyed itself on my normal-sized Hitachi so I can't say for certain.

      Depends on your preference of use and tolerance to texture. Gee Whizzard is used for internal stimulation. Pleasure Dome is used for outer stimulation. Pleasure Dome has loads of texture while Gee Whizzard does not. If you desire inner stimulation with not much texture, choose the Gee Whizzard. If you desire outer clitoral, labia stimulation with lots of texture, choose the Pleasure Dome.
