Use

The Harmonia is designed to be an insertable g-spotting toy; a job which it excels at. It can also be used to stimulate the clitoris or the nipples. This toy should not be used anally, as there is no flared base.

This toy is wonderful for beginners and advanced users alike. The Harmonia operates with a musical theme, and the goal of Close2You is to take simple designs and create an intimate experience for you. The shape of the Harmonia is simple but effective, and is not intimidating to beginners wanting to try out something new.

Material / Texture

The Harmonia is made of a plush silicone that feels wonderfully soft. There is a bit of drag to the silicone, so lube is helpful when in use. The texture of the Harmonia is perfectly smooth along the entire shaft. At the bottom of the shaft there is raised lettering with the Close2You logo on it. It is not noticeable in use. There is also a visible seam that runs down the front and back of the Harmonia, but when inserted it cannot be felt.

Design / Shape / Size

The Harmonia is just under 9 inches long, 6 3/4 of which are insertable. The base of the Harmonia is its widest part (about 1 3/4 inch diameter), tapering in the middle (to about an inch diameter) and widening out slightly at the tip (1 1/4 inch diameter). The tip is curved to stimulate the g-spot, and the very end of the tip is slightly bulbed.

The top and the bottom of the Harmonia are pretty firm, but at the center, it is possible to bend the toy in half. It does not stay like this, but it allows for adjustment of the toy into the perfect position to hit your g-spot. For those that enjoy pressure on their g-spot, the flexibility of the toy does not take away from its ability to apply pressure directly.

The battery compartment is located at the base of the toy and can be hard to open at first. To open it successfully, push down while turning until you feel the top "pop" off. The Harmonia runs on two AAA batteries which are included in the packaging.

Functions / Performance / Controls

On the Harmonia most of the vibrations are located in its base. They travel along the shape very well and can still be felt strongly in the tip, although they are weaker in the tip than the base. The vibrations are more rumbly than buzzy.

On the base of the Harmonia are two buttons. The top button is the On/Off switch. The bottom button allows you to cycle through the patterns. When the Harmonia is turned on, the lowest vibration mode turns on as well. The buttons are easy to press, but not so easy that they would change patterns on accident while in use. You should not have a problem with this toy turning on when it is not wanted.

There are eight vibration settings that follow the musical theme of Close2You very well.
1. Low steady vibration (Do)
2. Medium steady vibration (Re)
3. High steady vibration (Mi)
4. Escalating pattern (low to high then off for a second)
5. Slow steady pulses (Do Do Do Do)
6. Pulses Low Medium High, High High High(Do Re Mi, Fa Fa Fa
7. Six short pulses and then a longer pulse (Do Do Do Do Do Do Do Dooo)
8. Long short short short short long pulse (Doooo Do Do Do Do Dooooo)

The tones of the vibrations sound relatively like the notes they are supposed to be. All of the vibrations are pretty powerful. Unfortunately, the Harmonia does not remember which pattern you were using when it turns off, but it is simple to scroll through, and having a separate on/off switch is a definite plus. The vibrations are not loud, but not the quietest I have heard either. They are not distracting at all and can barely be heard while under covers.

The Harmonia is completely waterproof and has held up in both bath and shower situations. Make sure that the cap is screwed back on tightly and there should be no problem with water getting inside the battery compartment.

Care and Maintenance

Care for the Harmonia is very simple. Because it is waterproof, you can easily wash it with warm soap and water. You can also use a toy cleaner. To sterilize, you can use a 10% bleach solution, but because of the battery compartment it cannot be boiled or placed in the dishwasher.

Harmonia does collect a lot of lint, so I recommend washing it before and after each use.

Because this is silicone, only water based lubes can be used. In the packaging, Close2You includes a sample of their own water based lube which would work perfectly with the toy.

Harmonia is easy to store as well. You could keep it in the lovely box that it comes in, or inside the velvet storage pouch that is included.

Packaging

The packaging of Close2You is incredible. The Harmonia comes in a white cardboard box with a picture of a man and a woman holding the toy on the front cover. The cover lifts up to reveal a window through which you can see your toy nestled inside.

On the side of the box there are two drawers. The top drawer houses the Harmonia which fits snugly inside a foam cutout of the toy. The bottom drawer contains a bunch of free accessories for you to enjoy. Inside is a purple drawstring bag which can be used to store your toy, two generic AAA batteries, a purple silicone cock ring, a free sample of Close2You's lubricant, and a single toy wipe. There was also a user manual included in the package. All of the accessories are high quality and really make it a wonderful gift.

Experience

I love my Harmonia, and I use it often. It does not have a huge girth, but it does give me a nice filling sensation. It is wonderful for g-spotting and never fails to hit mine and give me great pleasure. The vibrations are wonderful on the clit as well as internally. Because the middle of the shaft is so bendable, once it is inserted, you can bend the base down and use the vibrations at the base to stimulate yourself against your clitoris simultaneously. It is a wonderful sensation.

I have found that I enjoy this toy much more on my own than with a partner, although I have found this to be the case with many g-spot toys. It is great to thrust with or rock slowly, and it has been on my favorite list for quite a while.

  • Does the Harmonia work as a dual stimulation toy?
    • I was wondering the effectiveness of using the harmonia as a dual simulating toy? If one has a shallow g-spot, would this be a comfortable use for the toy, to bend it and get clitoral stimulation too? Thank you Edenites!!!
    • If you were bending it forward to get clit stimulation, you would be pushing the other end away from your G spot. If you want dual stimulation, I would choose a toy advertised as such.

Thank you so much for your advice! I'll likely begin my search for dual toys then, any suggestions?

  • Simfonia or Harmonia?
    • I'm kinda caught between the two. I like the fact that they're both silicone with g-spot stimulation and multifunction/multispe ed, and that they're both reported to be quiet...and the fact that they're the same price (and on sale!) makes my decision a bit harder because I can't justify saving a bit on either.

The Harmonia on one hand comes in an absolutely gorgeous green but is apparently less powerful (3 vrooms) while the Simfonia gets 4 vrooms and is a bit smaller (not that that matters much since I'm a smaller person anyway). Any help deciding? Maybe any better suggestions? I'd give myself up to a $60 limit if there are any other alternatives. I'm looking for something relatively simple (i.e. not a Rabbit) since it'll be used for partner play too.

Edit: I realized now that I probably should have placed a poll too but I'm new here and don't know how. Oh well.
    • This one looks really promising, too:

It's more money, but if you use a coupon code you can get at least 15% off, and that'll put it under your limit. (To get a coupon code, sign up for the affiliate program, and you'll have your own. Or, look at pretty much anyone's blog, and you'll find one.)
    • My vote's for the Harmonia - I own it and love it. It really depends on your wants and needs in a new vibrator though. The Harmonia has a more pronounced bulging head and it narrows down (and is nice and flexible), I don't own the Sinfonia, but it looks like it just tapers down at the end? So it really depends on what you're looking for.

It's fun for teasing with, and for solo-play, though, so it's not much of a worry. I found the Harmonia to be comfortable to use.

They both come with the same extras, which are really awesome and high quality as well :)
