It Either Hooks You or it Doesn't

The G-Fun is a decent mid-range g-spot toy but its hook may only appeal to some people. The waterproof tapered design is perfect for stimulation and while some may find the hook to be an added way to get traction and pleasure others may find it awkward or uncomfortable.
Published:
Pros
Waterproof, affordable, good control and strength of vibrations.
Cons
Jelly is hard to keep clean, the toy's "hook" may not work as well for some.

Sometimes the best toys are not the most expensive, and when I saw the G-Fun which looks very much like this household's affordable favorite: Lucid Dream No. 14 I jumped at the chance to add another affordable and wonderful toy to my collection.

Both toys are essentially the same design: a tapered jelly shaft with a wide head housing the motor for excellent direct g-spot (and p-spot) stimulation. The length of the toy allows for easy solo maneuvering and once the head is in the tapered body means this toy is easy to keep in and keep positioned on just the right spots. The one major difference between the G-Fun and the Lucid Dream is a small tongue shaped hook on the bottom of the toys head - and while I was first intrigued by this hook it was exactly what turned me off to the toy, though my (female) partner found it to be fine for her.

The little hook is not sharp, but I think I would greatly prefer it if the hook was instead a simple smooth bump rather than a rounded off hook. I found that when playing with the toy it caught on me causing some minor discomfort, though lubrication helped it did not make me fall in love with the toy. On the other hand when we used this toy on my partner, she enjoyed the toy’s little tongue commenting that it gave her a little extra traction on her g-spot. So while I doubt I will be returning to this toy I am sure it will see some continued use for her in the bedroom.

For those, especially women, looking for an affordable and enjoyable g-spot toy this is certainly a great value. The jelly construction does mean that condoms are highly recommended (especially if you are going to be sharing the toy) for any play, and the hook on the top of the toy is probably especially good at storing bacteria if you do not cover it or carefully clean it. The dialing control on the bottom makes for easy and seamless shifts in power and the vibrations from the G-Fun are certainly adequate and pleasing without being overly loud. On top of that the G-Fun is waterproof, so do not be afraid to take this one into the shower!

Perhaps it was just our toy, but the G-Fun did lack some aesthetic details, the molding seams on the toy were very apparent with a couple of bits of jelly hanging off that we had to trim. The vibrating bullet inside the head rather than being firmly in place slides around a little, though not noticeably when inserted, and the jelly of the toy - like most - has a pretty strong smell particularly right when it comes out of the package.

I would recommend the G-Fun to any women interested in an inexpensive but filling g-spot toy. The added hook on the toy’s head is pleasurable for some but not perfect for everyone and while the toy’s construction is not the best quality the design is overall a good one and the toy is certainly affordable.
Experience
Comparing the G-Fun and Lucid Dream No. 14 side by side I found that I liked the Lucid Dream significantly better. The rounded head (without the hook) made the toy easier to insert and I enjoyed the subtle, pleasurable pressure I could create with it more than the direct pressure the G-Fun provided. When my partner tried out both of the toys she said it was a tossup for her. Both toys provided good stimulation, similar vibrations, and a good feeling of fullness. The G-Fun she found to be an interesting twist on the Lucid Dream but a twist that wasn't necessarily one that made the G-Fun superior.
Follow-up commentary
There's a lot of reasons that both my partner and I really wanted to love the G-Fun...and really it's not a bad toy, it just doesn't quite live up to its possibilities. While my (female) partner does enjoy it on occasion it's still nowhere near the top of our list of toys to pick, and I've found despite repeated attempts that the little tongue on the bottom of the toy just makes life difficult for me when I try to play with it. So while the idea to add a little twist to an otherwise pretty straightforward g-spot toy may be noble, it just didn't work for us as well as we'd hoped.

Good review! That hook looks a little weird to me. Lucid Dream for the win. Smile

Thanks both of you! Yeah, I wanted to see if the hook would be a plus, but I'll stick to what I like now that I know!

we're wondering if the shaft is flexible or rigid? Bendable is a detractor for our purposes. Thanks for the review
