The 9 Function Playful Curve is primarily for the ladies for use as a G-Spot & clitoral vibe. It also can be used on the male genitalia, for the guys who enjoy it, as it does provide light to heavy steady vibrations, pulsations, and escalating vibrations. Due to the curve at the tip, this would not be a thrusting toy; however, if you are careful, you can tease the vagina with slow insertions.

As a secondary toy, this can also effectively stimulate the anus with either the tip or insert 2.5 inches to have the thickest part of the toy where the vibrating egg is located. WARNING do not insert too far into the anus as there is no flared base & there is high potential it could go in too far.

The Playful Curve is waterproof and can be used in the bathtub or shower; there is a rubber O-Ring that prevents water from getting into the battery compartment as well as a rubber covering over the push button.

Upon opening the package, my first impression was great. There was no smell whatsoever. The vibrator is extremely smooth, smooth as skin but hard. There is no give to the toy except the push button to turn on the vibrations.

On the middle of the vibrating egg there is a 1/32" seam where they put the 2 parts of the toy together. This is a non issue as it could not be felt. It is made out of PU coated plastic which is ABS plastic with PU (polyurethane) coating and it is Phthalate free. On a material safety scale of 1 to 10, it is rated as a 7. The design of the 9 Function Playful Curve is very nice. The curve at the tip might be a little pointy for some sensitive G-Spots, but it is real helpful to get under the hood of the clitoris. The entire length of the toy is 7.5 inches with about 6.5 inches insertable. Cal Exotics states it is 8 inches in length. At the widest point it is 1.5 inches in diameter & 1/2 an inch at the slimmest. This is not a toy if you are looking to be stuffed.
This is easily concealable if needed.

The vibrations can be felt throughout the toy, including the base of the toy when you are holding on to it. If you do not like vibrations on your hands, do not get the toy. The top 3 inches of the toy is where most of the vibrations are felt, but the vibrations do travel throughout the toy.

There are 9 levels of vibrations. You have to push the button on the bottom of the toy to cycle through
3 steady vibrations: low, medium, & high. The high setting is about twice as powerful as the low setting. It does provide a lot of vibrations, but it is not quiet at all when vibrating against the clitoris. The vibrations can be heard while inserted while oral is being performed.

The next 3 settings are the pulsating mode:
4 pulsations which last for 2 seconds then stops for about 1/2 second
3 continuous pulsations for 2 seconds
4 continuous pulsations for 1.5 seconds with a real annoying 1 second delay

Escalation mode is next:
1.5 second escalation with a 1/2 second pause
6 continuous pulses without a pause lasting for 2 seconds & repeats
4 continuous escalating pulses with a 1/2 second delay

The pauses between vibrations are a distraction to me. However, they could be used for edge play as they are annoying. I was almost on the verge of climax, then the pause. To go from 1 setting to the next, you must push the button. It is frustrating when you miss the function you want & need to push the button sooo many times to get to the 1 you want.

Cleaning is a breeze. Either wash with warm water and soap (anti-bacterial preferred) or toy cleaner (before & after use), and dry before storing. Do not boil or toss in the dishwasher as the plastic is likely to melt. Pay extra attention to the small seam where the bullet is located though.

Since the 9 Function Playful Curve is made from PU Coated plastic, it is safe with both water based and silicone based lubricants. Due to the many variations in toys, I would store this in the packaging it came in as variations in material can damage other toys.

The EdenFantasys outer box is, as always, discreet. I thought the shipping box was a little large for this toy, but it was secure & undamaged. When I opened the shipping box, I saw the toy was in a clear plastic store display box and went for the scissors to cut it open. I didn't need to cut it as the plastic wasn't fused together, which is great because we store the toy in the plastic it came in. The shell is minimal & could be reduced a bit, but they want the store shelf space. There is a paper display that has a picture of a woman & the various settings which was easily recyclable, as well as a small piece of paper explaining the battery installation.

The directions were minimal, battery direction & pushing the button to cycle through the settings.
The battery compartment has a sleeve for the AAA batteries (batteries sold separately). The + end goes in first, but I had issues with the sleeve. The sleeve will not come out unless there are batteries in and then will only come out with some coaxing.

The vibrator can not be heard through a closed door, but it is loud when not using it internally. The high vibration settings are pretty strong from a toy that uses only 2 AAA batteries.

We ranked it 2 out of 5 as some of the settings were nice, but it didn't finish the job. We probably will use this toy during light bondage sessions for sensation play & to prolong the orgasm, as I wasn't able to satisfy myself with this toy.
