Tickled pink? Not quite.

This kit is a great idea, but falls short when it comes to execution. The gel totally hits the spot, while the bullet completely misses its mark.

Pros
Gel adds great cooling sensation, vibrator has good speed.
Cons
Vibrator is low quality, it’s cheaper to buy pieces separately than in the kit.

The Tickle Her Pink pleasure kit by Pow Products is great in theory. Heck, why shouldn’t your clitoral pleasure gel come with a bullet vibrator? Alas, not everything is as great as it seems.

The gel and bullet come in a cute pink box, as shown. There are directions and comments on the back in English, French, Spanish, and German and ingredients on the side. The gel is in a 1 ounce bottle, which may seem small, but you only need a little dab of this stuff to feel its effects. The box boasts 30 applications, but I bet you could get more than that. The vibrator is just your standard silver bullet with plastic battery pack/dial control; nothing new there.

The gel has the scent and taste of menthol, which makes sense because one of the main ingredients is witch hazel (on the box as hamamelisdacea hamamelis virginiana, its scientific name), and it contains peppermint oil. It also contains orange fruit extract, but you wouldn’t know by tasting or smelling it. The gel has the same consistency as lube. It’s wet but not sticky, and gradually dries once it’s on the skin. I wouldn't recommend using it as you would a normal lube, or you'd end up with a very cold vagina and an empty bottle.

I didn’t notice anything when I first applied the gel. Well, except that rubbing anything wet and slippery on your clit obviously feels good. After a moment or two I started to feel the wonderful cooling sensation. Unfortunately, as soon as I started rubbing my clit, the cooling went away but returned as soon as I wasn’t touching my clit anymore.

The gel didn’t seem to heighten any sensitivity while I was touching it (with either my fingers or a vibrator), and the sensation usually wore off by the time I was finished. Sometimes there is some residual sensation remaining, but it’s not nearly as strong as at first. I also tried the gel on my nipples, but didn’t get much of a response from that.

Because the gel contains arginine, it is not recommended for people with STI’s particularly herpes virus as it could cause outbreaks. On the plus side, the gel is safe to ingest (albeit, not that tasty) and latex-friendly.

As for the vibrator, I didn’t see myself being this disappointed with it. I figured it would be just your standard bullet, with strong vibrations and nothing too bad about it. I was right about the strong vibrations, and that was it. The control dial is very stiff. It doesn’t move nearly as freely as others I’ve used. Also, the dial sticks out of the battery pack on both sides, making it difficult to know whether you’re turning the vibrations up or down until you’ve already done it.

Also, consider this your only warning on the subject: Don’t close the battery pack once the batteries are in it. You’ll never get them back. Well, you might after a very, very long struggle and considering breaking the damn thing at least once. The problem is that the tab holding the battery pack cover in place isn’t long enough so it’s extremely to get enough leverage on it. That doesn’t become a problem until the batteries are inside, pushing up on the cover and the tab. I hope that makes sense. When I’ve used the bullet (which is just often enough to make this review possible), I’ve kept the battery pack open which, conveniently, negates the problem of getting up and down mixed up. I’ll hold onto the vibe as a backup in case my other bullet dies.

Other specs on the vibrator – As I mentioned before, it has very good vibrations that are comparable to similar bullet vibes. It’s pretty quiet until it reaches its higher settings. Then it gets a little noisy, but not terribly loud. For safety, I don’t recommend inserting bullets; as pulling on the wire could cause the toy to short. (Broken toy electrocuted vagina = double fail.)

Also, there’s a crease in the middle of most bullets, including this one, where bacteria could get trapped and grow. Before and after using the bullet externally, it can be cleaned with warm water and soap, or antibacterial cleaner. Make sure not to get water in or near the electrical bits. It can't be sterilized, so put a condom or latex toy cover on it if you're sharing it with anyone that you wouldn't have unprotected sex with.

Experience
I can’t honestly say that I recommend this kit. The vibrator is simply not worth the extra money. I do however recommend the Tickle Her Pink gel. It creates a great cooling sensation that is sure to get you excited. I probably won’t end up using it much during masturbation or sex, but I can definitely see myself applying it maybe 10 to 15 minutes beforehand to get myself in the mood.

If you really want to buy the gel and a bullet vibe together, I’d recommend buying the gel for $9.99 and a basic bullet from California Exotics for $8.99. You’ll save a few bucks and get a much better value.
