iVibe pocket rocket by Doc Johnson - review by Merridia Sylar

The intended use for the iVibe Pocket Rocket by Doc Johnson is to stimulate the clitoris, or other parts of the body. Personally, I love the feeling of it against my nipples. I do not recommend, however, using this toy internally. The iVibe is great for solo and partner play, and it will definitely not leave you out in the cold.

This pocket rocket is made out of plastic. The top has a probed plastic cover that you can throw over it, or just leave it as metal balls. I'm allergic to most metals, so I was very happy with the fact you can add a plastic cover to the top of it. It does affect the vibration slightly, but it remains to be a very fantastic, strong vibrating pocket rocket.

This toy has clear packaging, so leaving it out in the open may create for some very awkward conversations. However, the box makes a great way to store the iVibe, because it can easily be put in a drawer or toy box. The box is just big enough to hold the iVibe and its battery.

This toy is very light, only being about 0.2lbs. It's approximately four inches long with a 3inch circumference. The diameter is only about one inch. This toy takes one AA battery. I really liked how this toy was designed, except for the battery compartment. It is relatively easy to twist off, and there have been several times where I was in the middle of playing with it, and the battery fell out. Ooops!

The size of the iVibe Pocket Rocket makes it a perfect travel companion; as long as you have some way to hide the noise! This toy has quite a bit of a buzz to it, but not quite loud enough that you can't cover it up with some music. The vibration and the pleasure this toy gives outweighs the noise it makes any day.

The pros of this toy can go on and on. It is travel friendly, and has good, strong vibrations. Not only is it fantastic for the clitoris, but great for every other body part as well. Using this toy will not wear out your hands, or make them numb. This toy has one speed, but it worked amazing for me.
The toy is latex free, which is a bonus. It also is phthalates free, made of a food-grade material, and is hypo-allergenic. I mentioned before that I was allergic to most metals, and I still have a reaction to things that are even “hypo-allergenic”. Out of all the things to be allergic to...

The noise is probably the most annoying part of the toy. It also isn't waterproof, so no shower play. It cannot be safely used internally, and the battery compartment comes off easily.

Cleaning this toy can be irritating, because you have to be careful to clean around the ball bearings. When using the plastic top it can be difficult to clean between the prongs that stick up from it. Warm water and soap work well for cleaning the top, and the use of a cotton swab works very well. Of course, any toy cleaner you have in your toy chest should work perfect as well. A toothbrush that has been cleaned with water and bleach also makes a great scrub brush for this toy.

For storage, always remove the battery out of any toy you put into storage, and make sure it is clean.
