Jack rabbit sex toy review

All in all, the Jack rabbit™ is an essential bit of kit for any woman’s (sex toy) wardrobe. It’s thoughtfully designed, looks cute and works brilliantly. Also, at just over thirty bucks, it’s not ridiculously expensive.
Published: May 31, 2008
Pros:
Works brilliantly, easy to clean, great for a girl to use alone or with a partner.
Cons:
Don’t forget the batteries!

When my wife and I decided to take the plunge and buy our first sex toy, we settled on the most famous name in the business. After all, if it was good enough for the ladies in Sex and the City, hopefully it should be good enough for my sexy wife.

The Jack rabbit itself looks absolutely delicious – it’s made out of firm, cherry covered rubber with pink highlights and a sack of white plastic beads. Although it was clearly penis shaped, it wasn’t remotely threatening and there’s even a little smiley face underneath the rubber glans!

Connected to the Jack rabbit itself is a long cord and the control shaft, which also contains the batteries. This is great, since it means my wife or I could operate the controls in whatever interesting positions we were in! (My wife admitted it’s difficult to drive a vibrator when it’s buried between your thighs!)

There are two ‘actions’ to the Jack rabbit. The little rubber bunny on the base of the shaft vibrates – and it’s two long, soft ears are ideally placed to straddle my wife’s clit and stimulate it.

The shaft itself rotates, moving the little plastic balls and wiggling the rubber shaft. Both of these movements are controlled from the control shaft and you can set how strong you want the vibrations and rotation to be. My wife started off slow and moved up to ‘full speed ahead’ shortly before she climaxed.

She found it a great little toy. The vibrating bunny was very stimulating and worked well with the rotating shaft – which is only about five inches long, so she didn’t have a massive rubber cock to wrangle with (some sex toys must be designed by men, she told me, since it’s all about how BIG the dildo is.)

She slid the shaft in without needing any lube and we only started with the vibrations and rotations after she’d got used to it. Then she built up the intensity and climaxed surprisingly quickly (and turned me on wildly too.)

After she’d come, the cleanup was a breeze. The little Jack rabbit is coated in rubber, so you can clean everything except the base under a running tap. We also tended to keep baby wipes handy to give it a quick rub down.
Follow-up commentary
This thing is brilliant! My wife adores it. We'd definitely recommend it. As one of the comments suggested, we've found the easiest way to keep it clean is to use a condom on it, which snugly and securely snaps around the base - making cleanup a breeze.

Glad to hear you enjoyed your journey into the world of sex toys!  You made a good first choice, though I would suggest the Rabbit Pearl (the actual toy used on Sex and the City) for something more durable if this wears out.

I'd like to clarify that this toy is covered in JELLY, not rubber.  It does contain phthalates, which can leach into the body during use. I'd highly recommend using a condom over the insertable bit, for safety.

Glad she found one with just the right size :) We've all had to play Goldilocks to find the right toy!

When you got it originally did it take a long time and excessive cleaning to get the chemical/new toy scent off of it? Thanks for the review!

  • Pure G-spot Joy
    • I would like to experience my first pure g-spot orgasm. I get close and I either freak out cause I feel like I am going to pee or I get tired/lazy and add a bullet to my clit and have a nice combo. I want to accomplish this solo before I add a partner so I know if I am a squirt or not. I usually cum first with just a clitoral orgasm and then try to move in to g-spot stimulation at most 5 minutes later. So any ideas on toys and technique would be helpful. I do not know if a vibrator or dildo is the best way to go.

Definitely invest in the Ella! While she doesn't work for everybody (I still have yet to achieve a g-spot orgasm or squirt with her, but there are other factors that affect this) she has been a miracle for some. Even if she doesn't quite take you there, she definitely targets the g-spot really well, is made of a safe material, and doesn't cost a whole lot.

My wife has to be really worked up for the Ella to work on her. If she hasn't already orgasmed or isn't close it isn't much fun for her. Haven't made her squirt yet but still trying.
