Jesse Jane's pink ladybug vibe review by Scarlett Muse
Rabbit vibrator by California Exotic
Something’s "bugging" me.
Ordinarily I’m a huge fan of anything vibrating and pink. Throw in a little stainless steel and I’m ready and willing, so it’s no surprise that I gravitated towards California Exotic’s Pink Lady Bug Vibe. I’m not sure what I was expecting, considering there are only so many features you can cram into a 6" vibrating stick, but I certainly wasn’t expecting the “underwhelming” sensations this vibrator gave me.
The Pink Lady Bug Vibe is part of the Jesse Jane Virtual Sex Toy Collection. It’s described as having a “soft pliable jelly-like feel, a dual five speed locking control (for vibration & rotation), a multi-speed non-jamming metal bead rotation system, and a five speed tantalizing power packed clitoral stimulator.” *Insert Tim Allen grunt here* Sounded like one hell of a vibrator to me!
With a description like that, I figured no sooner than inserting 3 AAA batteries & firing this thing up, I’d slip into a hypnotic, gyrating trance filled with all things slick, sweaty, and panting.
Being the seasoned critic, I tested the Lady Bug on several occasions before forming an average opinion. And average it is--but quirky. This uniquely designed vibrator is a spin off of its overachieving rabbit counterpart; however, this vibrator tickles your visual fancy. The shaft is phallic shaped, pliable in a rigid sort of way (definitely NOT “jelly-like” as the package states), and the entire vibrator is bright bubble gum pink.
Now I always love a great dick inside of me, but the male penis (yes I’m straight) is one hell of an ugly thing. I generally steer away from “penis shaped” vibrators, but the Lady Bug was an exception I wanted to make. Though it IS penis shaped, it’s not over done. It’s long, lean, and mildly veined with a soft tapered tip--it's actually pretty! I can’t explain the combined heft and effect of it any better than saying this toy makes me feel like a naughty teen! Note to readers: feeling “teen-ish” is a good thing for me.
The sliding “locking” controls don’t exactly lock, they have built in stops that “click” as you move to different intensities. As an advanced participant in the Kegel regime, I can squeeze all day long, but the oscillating feature is a little disappointing. The shaft’s rotating beads feel weak. I get the strongest sensations from the ladybug vibrating against me.
Though the shaft is lengthy, the ACTUAL insertion & bead rotation versus the clitoral stimulator positioning is waaaay off. Off in a way that I can’t even fathom this vibrator lining up with anyone’s g-spot while clit tickling. By the time you’re wet… moving… tip inserted…almost reaching g... bam, the bug cranks you in the clitoris. Feels good, but I want the whole damn thing working for me. The shaft needs more heft and length with higher oscillating bead positioning.
Do I get off with it? Yes, but I’m too high maintenance to fuss with this thing only to achieve a moderate, non-earth shaking orgasm.
