Jessica's strobing probe sex toy review

G-spot vibrator by California Exotic

Published: June 6, 2008
extremely useful review
The variable vibration speed of this toy is great, from a slow burn to a full fledged vibrating frenzy; the toy delivers in this department. The cute light feature strobes faster as vibrations increase. In the area you would hope the toy would perform, it falls oh so short.
Pros:
Relatively quiet at slow speeds, easy to use.
Cons:
Small tip, not enough pressure on G-spot.
This toy was definitely designed

I stared into my toy chest, at that pivotal moment of “what toy do I choose?” It was at that moment that I realized my collection was lacking in an important area – G-spot stimulation. I reluctantly picked up my only G-spot vibrator, long broken, and went on with my night.

It wasn’t long before I pulled up the good old Eden Fantasys website to search for a toy to fill the gap… ahem… quite literally. I came across a well-priced toy that had a devilish curve to it, and I had to have it. Jessica’s Strobing Probe arrived at my doorstep days later, and I was ready to play!

The package itself left little to be desired, a typical plastic bubble capsule with the porn star “Jessica” adorning the paper insert. I ripped open the package and popped in the 2 double A batteries. I turned the dial at the bottom of the toy and was greeted with a series of colored flashing lights and mild vibrations. I couldn’t help but laugh at the strobing toy before me. I don’t understand how a flashing light makes a toy more appealing, but I moved past that issue to examine the toy further.

The dial at the bottom is easy to manipulate, but not so easy that a quick motion would knock it into overdrive, or worse - off. The vibrating bullet is deviously close to the end of the toy, a feature that I look for in a G spot toy. I looked on at the serious curve at the tip of the toy. It is relatively hard, bending only slightly if force is applied. The shaft of the vibrator also moves just slightly if bent.

The variable vibration speed of this toy is great, from a slow burn to a full fledged vibrating frenzy; the toy delivers in this department. The cute light feature strobes faster as vibrations increase, though when the toy is fully inserted you can’t see the lights at all. I guess if you were playing up a storm and this one accidentally slipped under the bed in the dark the lights would guide your way, but I seriously doubt that was in the toy’s design.

Unfortunately in the area you would hope the toy would perform, it falls oh so short. The curve of the tip of the toy is right on, however it’s just too darned small. In order to get the sensation I wanted I needed to push the toy upward as hard as I could, and after exerting that much energy on that alone, my cause was lost.

I didn’t want to give up on the strobing probe just yet, so I tried it on another night, laying face down and using it from behind. This had even poorer results, as the shaft of the toy is not designed for this type of solo play, and I found myself in pain.

My guess is that with a partner this vibrator could be a bit more pleasurable, but after a few solo uses one may decide to scrap that idea. I would not recommend this toy for the experienced G spot toy users, but for beginners it may not be such a bad buy.

I may have failed this time in my quest, but I am determined to find just the right toy for what ails me, and perhaps in time the strobing probe and I can find sexual harmony.

Vibrating frenzy! Great, detailed review.

Is the head big enough for those just beginning g-spot exploration?  It looks kind of small in the picture, and like it would be more appropriate for those who already know where they're going.  Good review!

I think the head would be a good size for beginners, i'm not so sure about the angle. I would go with something smooth to start. I recommend the "lucid dream" collection.
