Mini mini koala - clitoral stimulator by Doc Johnson - review by PiratePrincess

This mini koala is intended as a clitoral stimulator, but would be ideal for teasing yourself or your partner all over the body. While the koala doesn't pack a huge punch, it is great for a warm up, or for those who don't need much stimulation to get off. Those who find animal shaped vibrators a little creepy may not enjoy this toy, but once you look beyond the fact that there is a small bear you are putting down below, it can be quite pleasurable.

The Mini Mini Koala is made out of a firm TPE material. I have found that it does not collect lint as easily as other TPE toys I have, which is always a bonus. The clitoral stimulator is pretty textured, as it is in the shape of a koala, but all edges are smooth and provide gentle stimulation.

The Koala TPE sleeve covers a standard sized bullet which is attached by a cord to the remote control. The bullet is removable, although it will remain nice and snug inside the koala unless you make a full effort to remove it. The bullet and the remote are made out of plastic, although the plastic on the remote seems to be covered in a smooth plastic cote that feels nice in your hands.

Unlike other TPE toys I have owned, this toy is not tacky/sticky to the touch in the slightest and had no odor when it came out of the packaging. It does have a little drag to it when in use. TPE is porous, so if you are planning to share, a condom is recommended.

The remote control is designed to be ergonomical and fir comfortably in the hand when in use. The back of the remote has three indents in the smooth plastic, so your fingers can easily wrap around to access the controls with no problem. The bottom of the remote screws off and holds two AAA batteries. Around the battery spots is a standard diagram for battery entry. There is a thin O-ring, so the toy is splash-proof, but not waterproof. The battery compartment is 3.25 inches tall and about an inch wide.

The cord that attaches the bullet to the remote is a light purple color and is about 2 feet long. This should give you plenty of space to maneuver the bullet and the controls to your liking. The bullet without the Koala attached is 1.5 inches and with the koala is about 1.75 inches. The koala itself is about 1.75 inches at its widest point, the ears, and the rest of the body is about 1 inch across.

The Koala is see-through and is pretty detailed in the design. He is sitting and his two hands are wrapped around some Eucalyptus that he is eating. There are leaves draped over his arm and the stem is visible where he is not grabbing it. When the koala is covered in lube, he becomes very slippery and harder to keep in one spot. He is easier to hold onto if you grab onto the textured side, but since the back is smooth, you lose the added stimulation from the designs.

Because of the remote control, it is pretty obvious what this toy is used for, however the small size makes it very compact and easy to store or tuck away.

The remote control has two buttons. The top has the number 10 on it and is used to cycle through the functions. The lower button is to turn the toy on and off. This means it doesn't require cycling through the functions to turn off. Above the two buttons is a red light that comes on when the toy is turned on and blinks in tandem with the pulsations. The Mini Mini Koala has ten functions.

1. Low steady vibration
2. Medium steady vibration
3. High Steady vibration
4. Rollercoaster
5. Short fast pulsing
6. Very short fast pulsing
7. A low, medium and high pulse followed by 4 short high pulses
8. About 12 short pulses, followed by about 12 very short pulses and then two long steady pulses
9. Short escalation followed by long steady vibration
10. Pulses starting short and low and increasing to high and longer

The vibrations on the Koala are very buzzy. They are also very quiet. This would be a great toy for someone who needed secrecy, but also responds well to high pitched vibrations. For those who prefer more rumbly vibrations, this toy is still great as a warm up, or as a teaser to get you in the mood.

Care for this toy is relatively simple. The koala sleeve can be removed for a full washing of soap and water. There are a lot of small cracks and crevices on the koala, so make sure it gets cleaned throughly. The remote control and the bullet would be best wiped down with a damp cloth or toy wipes. Although the remote has an O-ring, it may not be best to submerge it in water or risk running it under the faucet, just in case.

To prevent tangling, the cord can be wrapped around the toy and the entire thing can be stored away in a safe place. The toy is compatible with water or silicone based lubricants.

The Mini Mini Koala came in a clamshell package with the toy visible through the packaging. The front of the packaging has a picture of a koala in a tree and it states "perfect for clitoral stimulation" and "10 powerful functions". The lower right side of the packaging does state that this toy is waterproof, but as mentioned above, I would be cautious when submerging it or running it under water.

The back of the packaging has a lot of writing on it. There is a small description of the toy and information about the material, batteries and functions. There are links to follow Doc Johnson on Twitter and Facebook and basic information about the vibrator in six languages.

The packaging is not discreet, but it is not vulgar either. The koala on the package is pretty cute too!

This toy was great for me to use as a warm up. The vibrations were too buzzy for me to get off, but I enjoyed them during foreplay and my boyfriend enjoyed it against him for warm up as well. It isn't the strongest toy in the world, but it is pleasant and very quiet, which is always a bonus.
