Use

The Rocket and Lubricant 4-way pleasure kit is my very first pocket rocket. I've sort of shy'd away from them because I never thought something so tiny could give me the power I need to reach my goal. But I'm glad to say I was wrong, in a HUGE way!

The kit comes with the rocket itself and 4 different little caps, my fave is the smooth domed cap and it's the one I go to every time. This little powerhouse can be used all over the body but my three hot spots are my nipples and lips while I'm getting worked up and of course my clit/ labia area when I can hold on no longer. I must say that I was shocked how quickly this tiny dynamo rocketed me into heaven.

Needless to say this toy is not suitable for anal, I mean you could definitely do a little tickling and teasing around that area but insertion is a no no because it's so tiny that even virginal holes would find it hard to feel it disappear and not to mention the tiny little caps.

Material / Texture

The body of the rocket is made from a smooth and shiny pink plastic. It sturdy, ridged and completely clear. The bottom of the body has some vertical ridges built in for grip when twisting the bottom half on and connecting the battery but the rest is completely smooth. The head of the rocket is pretty standard from what I've seen. A flat top with 3 metallic nubs on the top, which the caps sit over.

As mentioned before the Rocket comes with 4 caps, you get:
1/ A completely smooth dome. (The best of the bunch, if you like to massage your clit while playing)
2/ A flat cap with 5 slightly raised flat circles on the top. (Not my fave but still good)
3/ A flat cap with lots of little hard plastic bristles. (It sounds owwie but actually feels quite good)
4/ A flat cap with 12 little points on the top. (No really sharp ones)

The caps are also made from the sturdy clear pink plastic and simply click on to the top of the rocket.
The plastic has no smell or taste and because it is a simple and easy care material with no texture, it is great for beginners and the more advanced alike.

The plastic is ABS plastic and is completely non-porous, phthalates free, latex free and hypo allergenic.
It's also compatible with all types of lubricants, water and silicone based so the only problem you might have is picking which of your faces you want to use first!

The lubricant included in the pack is a fairly thin lube, not one that I would choose to use, for anal at least but it doesn't become sticky and lasts a decent amount of time. The lubes ingredient list consist of
Water, Glycerin, PEG-8, Carbomer, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Potassium Acesulfame, Sodium Hydroxcide, Disodium EDTA, Sodium Benzonate, Potassium Sorbate and Diazolidinyl. Please don't ask me what any of that means, all I know is that it's a fairly decent lube and does it's job. The lube has no real scent to it and only a mild sweet taste.

Design / Shape / Size

The shape of the rocket is a standard one, a shaft of only about 4 inches long with a circumference of 3 inches. It starts off slightly narrower at the bottom end, where the battery is held and steps up a little where the two connect, after that it has another slight increase in width around the motor of the toy then,s steps back down around the head to allow for the caps. The design as far as I can tell is a pretty sound one. The motor is nice and close to the tip which means you get all the power in that end of the toy, right where it needs to be.

The rocket is an extremely easy toy to travel with, not only because it's small but it offers some variety with the different caps and is very light and only requires one battery to keep it going for a fairly decent amount of time. I've used my rocket a dozen times or more and have only needed 2 batteries so far.

Functions / Performance / Controls

Along with the simple design of the rocket, the function is very simple too, the toy only has one speed/vibration level and in that sense the rocket is a bit of a one trick pony but the included caps take care of that, offering lots of difference in sensation between them. The toy is switched on a by a simple rotation of the bottom section, the inner metal pieces connect and complete the circuit.

Around where the top and bottom sections connect there is a rubber grommet of sorts, to keep any water out of the inside of the toy. This works perfectly for cleaning and in shower use but I did get some leakage when submerged, not a lot but a little moisture got inside.

Care and Maintenance

The Rocket is splash proof so that means that cleaning it is easy, wash it with a little warm water and soap, some toy cleaner or even anti-bacterial hand soap but bleaching may fog the plastic some and boiling is simply not an option with this toy.

Storage again is easy, the plastic doesn't collect lint so you can just toss it into a bed side drawer, a box or whatever else you keep your toys in and you don't have to worry about a bag or box for it.
Travel with this one is a breeze, it's so small that it will be unnoticed in any suitcase or hand luggage.

Packaging

The Rocket and Lubricant 4-way Pleasure Kit comes a fairly small box with picture of a persons (hard to tell if it's male or female) jean covered butt on the box. The rocket and lube are tucked into one of the back pocket of this persons jeans and it has the name of the toy in some large pink and white font across the top.
The sides of the box are used to give some info about the materials and the included toy plus some info on how to follow Doc Johnson via some social networking sites.
The back has some more info of the toy and also the name of the 4 caps:
Smooth operator (the dome)
6 pad pleaser (the flat circles)
12 point thriller (obviously the one with 12 points)
43 point massager ( the bristle like one)

Inside the box the rocket and its 4 caps are sealed into a foil pack with a clear plastic front that you have to tear open and throw away afterward and the lube is sealed with heat shrunk plastic to stop any leaks.

Overall it's not particularly discreet, I think pretty much everyone knows what a "rocket" is for but it would make for decent gift giving and stores the toy well for me.

Personal comments

I really like my rocket and because of that I'm looking into getting one of better quality. My rocket has some small cracks forming in the plastic, I think because of the vibrations and the metal piece inside has come loose, making it a bit of a nuisance to line up correctly to get the thing going.

I've backed off on using this one as much as I'd like because of the little stress fractures in the plastic but when it does come out to play, it plays hard and when my little rocket sadly dies I will be getting a new one because it's a fantastic toy and so damned cheap it's almost disposable!

That's a heck of a price, although it's not as good if the rocket starts cracking after a dozen uses I guess! I used to think that pocket rockets would be useless for me, but after reading your review and a couple of others I'm starting to understand the appeal---as much pressure as you want from the caps, but either some distance or none from the vibrations themselves.       Actually it was really easy. When I was writing the review I opened it again and it was easy to put back in. And I love the pink!
