Use

Vibe Therapy had all your needs in mind when they created the Sutra. With the curve being at the top of the penetrative end of this toy, it should come as no surprise that this toy is intended to stimulate the G-spot. This toy is waterproof and can be taken into your bathtub or pool while also simply being accommodating for the girls who squirt and squirt in abundance.

With the Sutra being so thick, I would not recommend this toy to a vaginal virgin. I would also recommend against this toy being used anally. This toy lacks a flared base and has nothing to keep it from slipping entirely inside your bum.

Material / Texture

The chubby Sutra is made of 100% medical grade silicone and truly was made with you and your vagina's safety in mind. Silicone is nonporous, phthalates free, latex free, completely hypoallergenic, and has no smell to it. The term "nonporous" probably doesn't mean much to a toy beginner, but in fact, it is one of the best features to have in a sex toy. Nonporous means that your body's bacteria, scent, or any lubes or liquids you choose to put on it will not be absorbed into it. Though it is not porous, it is still recommended that you cover it with a toy cover or condom if sharing your toy with a friend.

Silicone also gives you a softness to your toy, while keeping the toy sturdy and preventing it from wearing down over time(such as the way a jelly toy would). This toy can be squeezed or bent by the hand. The shaft of this toy has a texture similar to the feeling of rubbing your finger along a rubber-band, and does have a notable amount of drag to it. For this toy, it would be a wise choice to use with water-based lubricant. Avoid at all costs using any other forms of lubricant, especially silicone-based lubes. Using a silicone lubricant can, and will, deteriorate the toy. The base/ battery lodge for this toy is made of ABS plastic. This portion will never enter your vagina(unless your vagina is 9" deep), but your lube may get on this base. Lucky for you, water-based lubes are safe on plastic as well.

Design / Shape / Size

It is easy to see from the design and the gentle curve of it's tip, that this toy is intended for G-spot action. This toy is also designed to create friction inside the vagina. It has grooves and ridges running diagonally along the shaft of the toy and leading into the curve of the tip. The design, to my eyes, resembles flower petals.

All together, this toy is slightly over 9" long and, though it is pink, appears somewhat intimidating. Not just the length makes me say this toy appears intimidating, but also the girth, at it's widest point, by the base being almost 1 3/4" wide, or 5" around. More toward the tip the toy gradually slims down. At the midpoint of the shaft the toy is 1 1/2" wide and 4 3/4" around, and at the tip the toy has slimmed down to 1 1/4" wide and 3 3/4" around.

Functions / Performance / Controls

Use of this toy is "so easy, even a cave-woman could do it". It has a whopping 2 buttons. The smaller, upper one is labeled with the power logo you have certainly seen on everything from cellphones to television remotes. This button, obviously, turns your toy on and off. The second, larger button has what can only be described as a squiggly line on it. This button cycles you through the speeds and functions of this toy. By pressing the power button, you will turn on the toy and a back light, but the vibrations do not start until you push the functions button. When you cycle through the functions, the toy will never come back to the initial, on but not not vibrating, setting.

The hardest part of reviewing for me is the portion where I talk about the vibration patterns the toy has. This toy is no different, but bare with me. Pushing the squiggly line button once, twice, and the third time gives you incrementally stronger steady vibrations(low, medium, and high). The next three settings follow the same pattern. They are the almost the same patterns, just incrementally faster. The fourth setting starts out with low steady vibrations and gradually gets stronger before dropping off and starting over. The fifth setting is a variation of the fourth, but without a gradually incline. The sixth setting is another variation, but much more quickly paced. The seventh function is the only unique(in my eyes) function. The function gives you three quick blasts and then a slow, drawn out one. This isn't proper English, but it goes something like "cha-cha-cha-chaaaaaaaa".

In the plastic base of this toy is your battery lodge. The backside of where your control buttons are has a slide-able covering where you will insert your 2 AA batteries.

Care and Maintenance

Silicone toys are fairly easy to care for. After each use, be sure to clean your new toy. Silicone toys can be cleaned in a multitude of ways. Toy wipes and toy cleaner are wise and fast options, but you have an even easier and cheaper option; warm water and antibacterial soap.

Storing alongside other silicone, TPE, or jelly toys can cause the toys to merge or become malformed over time. If you house all your toys together, place this toy in a zip-lock bag or invest in a toy pouch.

Packaging

The packaging of this toy is regal, clean, and very appealing to the eye. Your new toy is not visible from the outside, but there is a small image of the toy at the bottom of the front panel. The basic shape of the toy is also depicted, though on a smaller scale, on both the right side and back panels.

The back panel shares with you the basic information about the toy(including the features in six languages).
