Siena Symphony

The Siena Symphony vibrator by Mantric has 10 functions of vibration, pulsation and escalation, and features a wonderfully curved shaft.

The Symphony is made of smooth silicone, and is a dream for those who like G-spot play. The vibrations are strong, and this toy could be used externally for clitoral stimulation, as well. This toy is also waterproof and can be enjoyed in the bath or shower.
The Symphony is a little bit on the girthy side, which may not be ideal for beginners.

Material / Texture

The shaft of the Symphony is made of silicone, and the handle it made of a velvety coated plastic. Both silicone and plastic are body-safe and non-porous, and neither material will harbor any harmful bacteria as long as the surface of the toy is kept clean.

The silicone is very nice and has a little bit of drag, but is still able to glide over the skin without catching. Also, the Symphony does like to collect lint, but rinsing the toy easily gets rid of all lint and hair that’s sticking to the toy.

When using a lubricant with this toy, make sure to use a water-based lube. Silicone lubricants can potentially have a bad reaction with silicone toys, damaging the material and making the toy unusable.

There are very slight seams that run down both sides of the toy, but they can’t be felt during use. At the base of the shaft there is a raised “M” logo on the back side of the toy. There also are a few grooves in the shaft near the clitoral bump that cannot be felt and don’t serve much of a purpose.

Siena Symphony Measurements

The Symphony has a unique design that features an extreme G-spot curve and a bump that is meant to provide external stimulation to the clitoris -- that is, if it fits your body right.

The Symphony is about 9 inches long, with between 3 to 4 inches of it being insertable, depending on preference. This toy is on the girthy side, and it starts out with a circumference of 4.75 inches at the tip, and gets to 5.5 inches circumference at the base of the insertable portion.

The shaft of the toy is rigid and does not bend, except for the last inch or so of the tip, but it still doesn’t give very much. Though the toy has a rigid core, the silicone covering the toy is thick and makes the toy feel soft, especially at the tip and the clitoral bump.

The Symphony is waterproof; these is a clear O-ring under the cap that keeps water out of the toy. The cap can screw on tightly and feels very secure.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The Symphony is powered by 4-AAAs that stack 2 on top of each other in the base of the toy.

Siena Symphony Batteries

The controls on this toy take a bit to figure out and can be confusing until you get the hang of it.
There are two buttons that control all the functions of the toy; they are placed one on top of each other diagonally. Also, to make it a little harder, neither of the buttons have any markings.

I’m going to number them, so that I can explain them better.

Siena Symphony Controls

You can turn the toy on by using either button, but the function the toy will start at will depend on which button you press.

If you press button 1, you will start at setting 1, and if you continue to press button 1, you will cycle up through the 10 functions.

If you press button 2, you will start at function 10, and then you can cycle down through the settings.

You can use button 1 and 2 to toggle through the functions. So, if you go past a setting you want, press the other button and it will take you back instead of having the start all over again.

The functions are:
1. Constant high
2. Constant medium
3. Constant low
4. High pulse, medium pulse, low pulse, rolling pulse for 12 seconds that goes from low to high
5. Rolling pulse for 10 seconds from low to high, 2 quick medium pulses and then 10 seconds back down.
6. Rolling pulses for 7 seconds from low to medium, 2 medium pulses, rolling pulses med to high, 2 more medium pulses.
7. 5 individual pulses going from medium to high.
8. 2 short medium pulses followed by a longer high pulse.
9. Alternating between a quick medium pulse and a long high pulse.
10. Fast medium pulses.

If you’re cycling through the functions and get to one of the ends (either 1 or 10) and press the button again, the toy will turn off. Also, to turn the toy off at any time you can press and hold either one of the buttons for 2 seconds, and it will shut off.

Siena Symphony Lights

Something that’s really nice with this toy is that there's a little LED light that lights up between the two buttons. the light corresponds to the different vibration strengths.

The LED is green for low, orange for medium, and red for high. While the toy is going through its pulsation modes, it will show you the strength of each individual pulse.

The vibrations are strong; they're very nice and rumbly. The noise level on this toy isn’t too loud; it’s probably somewhere between 2 and 3 bees on high.
    • Hard to figure out
    • Lots of variety in function
    • Powerful

Care and Maintenance

Cleaning is very easy for this toy. Because it’s waterproof, I can take it to the sink, spray it with toy cleaner, and rinse it off. You can also use soap and water or toy wipes, and you can even use a 10% bleach solution for a good sanitizing.

I definitely recommend taking the batteries out of the Symphony while it’s not in use, as I’ve noticed that batteries get drained fast if they’re left in this toy.

Packaging

The Symphony comes in a box that has a full size image of the toy on the front. It also has a graphic of the vibrating functions on the sides of the box, and the back of the box has info about the toy in multiple languages.

The outside of the box is a slip cover that can be removed and reveals a tray that has the Symphony sitting in a foam cutout.

There also is an instruction booklet included in the box.

Personal comments

I would say this toy is designed to be rocked. It’s not easy to do a lot of thrusting with this toy, because of the more extreme curve. It feels filling when it’s inserted, and it hit my G-spot nicely. Even though this toy is on the girthier side, the ergonomic shape makes it feel a lot more comfortable for me than a straight, traditional-style vibes with the same circumference.

Also, the clitoral bump didn’t work for me at all, which is normal for me with toys that have these sorts of clitoral stimulators. I usually wish the designers would just leave it off and give the toy a larger insertable length. However, it works for me in this case, because I wouldn’t want to insert this toy any deeper because then it would overshoot my G-spot.

I've also found another way to use this toy that makes the clitoral bump useful; hold the toy pointing downwards and rest the clitoral bump on the pubic bone or vulva, and place the shaft and tip so that they stimulate the clitoris and labia. You can then rock and grind the toy for added stimulation. This works pretty nicely.

One thing I really like about the Symphony is that it feels like it’s built well. I’m happy with the quality and the strength of the motor. I just wish it was rechargeable! I’m in love with the shape, and I really would like to see more toys out there like this one.

Follow-up commentary
I still very much like my Symphony. I didn't use it for a while because I had some other toys I was trying out and reviewing, but once I came back to it I remembered why I loved it so much. It's filling, and the combination of its curve and the bit of weightiness is simply divine. I'm very sad that this toy isn't being made anymore, it has such a unique design. It will be a very sad day indeed when my Symphony dies.

Great review! Definitely don't understand the shape of this vibe, though.
