Life, Liberte, and the Pursuit of Self Satisfaction!

A good all-around traditional vibrator that has a soft silicone outside and is waterproof. Its size and girth are perfect for all level of users and the vibrations enough for most women to get satisfaction from. The classy look and light indicator plus appealing box design would also make this vibrator a great gift give to loved ones.

extremely useful review
The Liberte 2 (said as liberty) came in a pretty basic cardboard box. On the front the vibrator is displayed and is glossy to the touch, as well as the water running next to it in the picture and the title Couture Collection at the top. In the lower right corner is has the company logo as well as a waterproof stamp. On one side it talks about the features, the fact it's medical grade silicone, the fact it can be used while submerged, that it has pulsation and escalation settings, and that it lights up as well. On the back is a to scale picture of the toy itself with the button lit up red and the dimensions of the toy as well as a brief description. Due to this, the box isn't very discreet, so I would advise throwing it away or keeping it out of sight if you don't want anyone to see it. It does look nice enough to present as a gift.

Opening the box I admit I was disappointed. The vibrator was only sealed in a small foam-like pouch. There were no plastic inserts, no batteries came with, no storage pouch to put it in, no instructions, nothing. This leaves the toy to bounce around in the box free of anything holding it.

Out of the package, the Liberte 2 is very clean and soft to the touch. It has a light scent and I was curious about it being true silicone, so I flame tested it near the base. Other than a small yellow spot it hasn't melted, so I assume that it's true silicone and body safe. Due to the fact it's silicone, however, do not use silicone lubricants on this toy as it may ruin it. Keep to using only water-based. To clean, wash in warm soapy water or wipe with a bleach solution, taking care not to touch the metal band (as bleach corrodes metal). Do NOT boil this toy or place in a dishwasher as it may ruin the mechanical parts inside.

The vibrator measures 6 1/2 inches long, 5 1/4 of those inches are insertable. The diameter is 1 1/8 inches at the head, making this not obnoxiously girthy but not too thin either. The head is bulbous and is actually 'out' more towards the 'front' so it can massage the g-spot, just it's not hooked like most toys are that are for g-spot use. It's lightly textured with what I assume to be water-like ripples, however I could barely feel them in use. The head is squishy until about 3/4s of an inch down where the internal hard vibrator is and then it's rigid the rest of the way. At the base is a metal ring and then the very small plastic handle with bottom at the end that lights up red when the vibrator is on. The base is actually tapered, like the end of lipstick, making holding it with a couple fingers easier but not a whole hand.

The Liberte 2 takes 2 AAA batteries. You open the bottom of the toy by twisting the cap off, insert them, then twist the cap back on. There's a water seal ring around the inside to prevent any leakage when you use the toy in the tub or shower. Pressing the button turns the vibe on, and you keep pressing to cycle through the different modes. Keep going to turn it off--holding the button to turn it off won't work, you have to cycle through, so no emergency turn off here.

The modes are as follows:

1. Low constant vibration
2. Medium constant vibration
3. High constant vibration
4. Escalating pulsing vibration
5. Constant pulsing vibration
6. Faster constant pulsing vibration
7. Three short pulses and one long pulse vibration

The vibrations are more of a mix of deep and buzzy. The higher the vibration the more buzzy it feels. They're also strong enough to travel through the whole toy, but are more towards the head, just a little lower due to the fact the rigid inside doesn't go all the way to the tip.

Due to the size and shape of this toy, I would say this is perfect for solo masturbation use, and could even be used by couples. The size will make it be in the way during sex if you want to use it externally, though. It doesn't have a flared base so do not use this toy anally as it could easily get sucked up and lost. Also, this toy would be better for people who live on their own or have minimal people in the house as the higher settings can be heard through a closed door.
Experience
I have mixed feelings about this vibe. It's lovely, performs well, is silicone and therefore body safe, but it's nothing spectacular or mind blowing. It does its job and does it well. I'm not big on internal vibrations, so I used this by switching it from internal to external and I did eventually finish with this. It was not difficult to use, not overly girthy, etc.

What bothered me the most, though, would be the fact you can't turn this vibe off in an emergency situation and the fact the handle part of it is so small. I could almost completely take the vibrator inside me, base and all. This lead to hands full of lube most of the time while trying to hold it, coupled with the fact the vibrations are strong and travel down the whole thing, making holding it a pain sometimes. It's good with two or three fingers holding the petite base, but with a whole hand you'll run into problems. I had to wipe my hand dry a few times just to keep holding it. I really wish they had added 2 extra inches or so to the handle to hold it.

Also, I have my doubts with the water seal ring. I turned the vibe on and submerged it in water for about 5 minutes. It was still going so I removed it and dried it off after turning it off, then opened it. The seal was set and there was a very small amount of water inside the seal. Now if this is how it's made, a defect, or what, I don't know. The toy is advertised as waterproof, and you can only do a half twist to close it, so it cannot really be tightened. I think I'll view this more as splash proof than anything, but only because I get very paranoid about my toys that I take with me into the shower. Again, it might just be the model I have, or maybe the seal needs to be thicker. No actual water got into the batteries, though, or on the connections.

All in all a good vibe, performed well, nice vibrations, etc. I think it just needs some work to make it more functional and better quality. (Well, better than what it is now.)
Follow-up commentary
It's still doing well, but even after using it more, it hasn't exactly grown on me much. Small base, plain, little bit loud, etc. It's just easily overlooked in my collection and barely used at all. It's more of a last resort thing. It still works well, and doesn't exactly kill batteries too quickly (especially if you remember to remove them after every use), but I find myself picking up my dildos and a bullet vibe more often than picking this toy up.

Don't get me wrong, it's a great vibrator, just to me it's nothing special or fancy. To those who love internal vibrations and simple, traditional designs, though, this will for sure be up your alley.
