Use

The Little Chroma proves that looks can be deceiving. Though it is small, this petite vibe packs quite the punch. I just got mine a week ago and I haven't been able to put it down! It's simply amazing!

It can be used in so many different ways, but I find it's best used for clitoral stimulation. It can be inserted into both your vagina or anus, but make sure to loop a string through the holes in the cap before attempting any anal play. Wouldn't want to lose your wonderful new vibe, would you?

It is waterproof, so you can take it into the shower or bath. It also holds temperature really well. Try heating it up in warm water or stick it in the fridge for a totally different sensation.

You can use your Little Chroma alone or with a partner. Craving double stimulation? The Little Chroma is amazing paired up with your favorite dildo. I tried mine out with my boyfriend, and it's absolutely perfect for use during sex. Use it as a warm-up or tease your partner's erogenous zones. And since it's so small, you can use it for clitoral stimulation in almost any position.

Material / Texture

The Little Chroma is made from a single piece of 100% body-safe, medical-grade anodized aluminum. It's non-porous and deliciously smooth - I love running my fingers over the surface. It's firm body allows you to put as much pressure as you need wherever you need it.
    • No odor
    • Not porous at all

Design / Shape / Size

I LOVE the design of the Little Chroma. It's so smooth, it just glides over your skin and it slides in easily without any lube. The red color is slightly more pink than it appears, but it's a really pretty shade. The design makes it a discreet traditional vibe. I don't think anyone would really know what it was for if you accidentally left it out.

Its shape and size makes it a good G-spot vibe, so I've heard. I'm having a little trouble finding mine, but I think it's a personal problem of simply not being about to find my spot ever, not just with the Little Chroma.

As I mentioned before, its small size makes it perfect for couples' play. It's not big and bulky, so it won't get in the way and it's easy to change positions with. It's on the lower end of the girth scale - 7/8 in. I think - so it's good for beginners or those don't need a larger size to get off.

Functions / Performance / Controls

Little Chroma is has only one speed, but JimmyJane claims it is the right speed and that it is "tuned to the human body". I agree completely. The vibrations were powerful: deeply resonated and they can be easily felt throughout the entire toy. The motor is located in the tip. That is where the strongest vibrations are felt. They weaken slightly along the length of the toy, allowing you to alter the intensity without having to press a single button.

The toy is button-less and super easy to use. To turn it on, twist the cap until it stops. As the vibrator turns on, it can be a little noisy. But once the cap is turned all the way, the toy becomes extremely quiet. It is barely audible at arms length. If you have roommates and/or thin walls like I do, they won't be able to hear what you're doing. If you are a little anxious that they might hear, turn on the TV or stereo for some background noise.

This toy is completely waterproof. You can take it in the bath, hot tub, or even the pool - wherever the mood strikes. Its double O-ring allows the toy to be submerged up to, I think, 5 times the depth of your bath tub.

It is also great on battery life. One battery lasts roughly 16 hours of play. To save money on batteries, I bought the rechargeable kind (It wasn't Energizer or Duracell; I can't remember the name), but they wouldn't fit in the toy. They were much too big and I found that a little disappointing, but it's nothing to complain about.
    • Discreet sound
    • Easy to use
    • Powerful

Care and Maintenance

This toy is extremely easy to clean. Wash it in the sink with hot water and mild soap, or toy cleaner. You can even stick it in the dishwasher. Be sure to take the batteries and/or motor out before you wash it; the smooth surface makes it difficult to hold on to while it's still on. It can be used with any lube, but due to its smoothness, I don't think you will need any. Since it is so small, storage is easy. It won't take up too much room in your toy box. Or you can buy one of EdenFantasys pretty drawstring bags and toss it in your sock drawer. Also, don't forget to take the battery out when storing to conserve battery life and prevent corrosion.
    • Easy to clean

Personal comments

If you're sensitive and don't need a powerhouse to get off, we're in the same boat. I like deep vibrations, and that's exactly what you'll get with the Little Chroma. I was afraid the one-speed would be a problem, but it is the perfect speed. Plus, the intensity tapers off along the length, so you can slowly build to an intense climax. Or you can use it for a quickie, if that's the type of mood you're in. It works very well either way. I actually like the Little Chroma better as a clitoral vibe, but it's still nice when inserted.
Follow-up commentary
The Little Chroma is my favorite toy in my toy box. It's strong, silent (which is good because I'm living with my parents while I'm still in school), and it's so easy to clean. I love that it only takes one AA battery. Since I bought it back in October, I've only had to change the battery once, with pretty vigorous use.

If you haven't decided whether or not to dole out the cash for this pricey vibe, remember that this toy is going to last you FOREVER thanks to the replaceable motor. The motor is only $20, which is a lot less than most people I know spend on a single vibrator that won't last them nearly as long as the Little Chroma. Think of the money you'll save in the long run and the pleasure to be had. It makes the $125 seem like a very small price to pay.

I have bought 2. The first chipped on concrete while transporting it to my boyfriends house. I think it had repeated shocks to the motor because I was dropping it while I was getting out of the bath. Then the motor became noisy and not so effective. I moved on to my eroscillator for a while, but eventually I bought another little choma because I missed it so much. So yes, I think it is worth it. And if you look after it it will look after you. Tie a strap around the end of the little chroma if you're going to use it in the shower so then you won't drop it. This is easily done, there are holes for such a strap. If transporting it elsewhere keep it in a nice safe pouch. Don't grab it on the way out of the house without putting it away in your bag anyhow. You may regret it later.

As far as vibrators go, my clitoris is an extremely fussy girl. I can get off with the eroscillator or the little chroma, but anything else has honestly been rather a difficult endeavour. I've tried decent bullets and pocket rockets and traditional vibrators but none has come close. I've tried a vibrator with weird patterns. Honestly, all you need is this one speed. It varies in intensity across the shaft. The little chroma has a decent power at a discreet noise level. It also has a beautiful hard smoothness and doesn't cause irritation. As goldilocks would say 'It's just right'. Just make sure your batteries are charged (the only ones that fit are eneloop), or get some fresh non-rechargable ones before you judge its power.

      Plus they are pretty!

LOL I hope you enjoy my mini review. You can read my full review on the site too if you like.

  • Jimmyjane where you at???
    • So I've been looking into Jimmyjane more and more the past few months after all the hype finally got to me. The toy that seems to tickle my fancy the most would be the little chroma. The whole high quality, small, sleek, simple, quiet, waterproof, metal thing really gets me going. However, the sexiest version of the toy for me is the steel version *pictures it sitting innocently next to my mac, complemented by the brushed steel lamp on the bedside table*, which costs a whopping $195. Now, I'm okay with spending the money on a single toy, as long as it's the right toy. Trouble is, I've been to maybe 12 adult toy stores in three different cities around my state, NC, and not only did the majority of them not carry Jimmyjane toys, the only ones that did were adam and eve and although the chain carries a few of the toys, the specific stores did not. What's worse, some of the other stores had never even heard of Jimmyjane. And yeah, it took some effort to not exclaim "and you do this for a living?!?!" Anyways...

Not being able to see, touch, test/witness the vibration of the toys before hand is a big problem to me, especially when dealing with such expensive toys.

Does anyone have any idea where I can get my hands on any of their friggin products? I mean sheesh, I'd be willing to make a minitrip to a surrounding state for funzies at this point. SEX TOY ROADTRIP! I just have to lay my eyes on em, ya know? Sneaky little things... Has anyone else had the same experience with not being able to find them?

Or can anyone who owns a little chroma/little something offer a more specific comparison of power to some other more available and comparable toy? I've read all the reviews on this site as well as others. I just want something more like, "at the strongest point it feels similar in intensity to the (#) setting of (manufacturer)'s (toy name)." If that's at all possible...
    • Might I suggest sending one of the reviewers a message and asking them? I would bet Sam, Owl, Darling Jen or wetone123 (among others) would be happy to help. :) You may look to see what vibes they have to see if you happen to have them too, that would give you a better idea on the comparison.
    • JimmyJane is based in San Francisco and you can see their products displayed at many of the top-tier sex boutiques around the US. They have a list of retailers on their website.

  • $1,650 for a six piece set of Jimmyjane vibes?
    • Would you buy this Jimmyjane "Ultimate Members" set for $1,650? link

      HELL NO!

But I'm not a Jimmyjane fan. The look of their toys (expect the Form 6) don't do anything for me.
    • I've never understood having more than one of the same toy. I would much rather spend that $1650 on a variety of toys.
