Velvet touch vibrator - traditional vibrator by Doc Johnson - review by VELVET GIRL

This vibrator is good to use vaginally and anally (although I only tried it vaginally); it clearly states its uses in the directions. I would not suggest this toy for advanced users, perhaps for beginners, but I didn't really like it at all.

I originally got this vibrator because it's called "velvet touch" which really interested me. The material is actually quite "velvety" -- matte, nice, and soft plastic. The texture is really nice on the skin. I would not say the texture is specific to whether you are a beginner or advanced user.

The design of this vibrator is very, very simple. It is a phallic shaft that is long and thin (compared to an actual penis size). For me, it was too thin to really feel that great and it felt too long and awkward to stimulate the g-spot. I would only recommend this to beginners, but honestly, it seems there are much better vibrators for beginners that stimulate areas better for your buck. This toy can be hidden if wrapped in something, same with ability to travel.

The vibrations are located throughout the whole shaft. There is a knob near the battery area--as you turn the knob, the vibrations increase. The first tiny turn of the knob, however, puts on a rather strong and extremely loud vibration. It only gets stronger and louder from there. I can't even imagine using it fully turned up. The vibrations were way too sloppy and strong, it just felt like the batteries clanking against the plastic which was extremely unpleasant and did not give good sensations at ALL!

I used this vibe with a water-based lube which worked nicely. Afterward, I just washed it with antibacterial soap and water. It was easy to clean as long as you scrubbed it a bit. It seems easy enough to care for and I usually just store my toys wrapped in a cotton shirt near my bed.

The toy was packaged in a plastic case. There were instructions included but it took me a little while to figure out what kind of batteries were needed and what direction they went in the toy.

I just generally did not like this toy at all. It was too loud, too strong, too long and thin, and vibrated in all of the wrong ways. It seems cheaply made and definitely not gentle enough.
