This toy was definitely designed
As more
rabbit vibrators are sold each year than washers and dryers, I felt it was high time for me to give something new a try. I can now confirm that all roads do lead to Rome (if you want to use Rome at a metaphor for a pretty decent orgasm).
First, the vibrator itself. Like other products in
Doc Johnson’s Lucid Dreams line, this vibrator is very well made - solid construction, the controls well attached to shaft, inserting batteries is straightforward thanks to a slide-out case, and the waterproof seal does its job. The end of the clitoral stimulator has little feelers which wouldn’t be out of place in a B-grade sci-fi movie, but then again, that’s no stranger than having a bear or a rabbit nestling up against your clitoris.
The vibrations surprised me. My personal gold standard when it comes to powerful vibrations is the
Hitachi Magic Wand. Because the
Lucid Dream #32 is battery operated, it would be unrealistic to expect that same level of power. Comparing it to other battery-powered toys, though, it stands out. The vibrations are strong and consistent, as is the rotating function. Manipulating the controls at the same time you’re inserting the vibrator is a bit tricky, but certainly not an insurmountable obstacle. The control pad is clearly laid out and very easy to use. I simply set everything at the highest level, lay back, and didn’t think about it again.
When it came to actually using the vibrator, I was surprised to find a learning curve. I had originally inserted it as I would a
dildo with the
vibrator parallel to my body. At first, I couldn’t figure out why the clitoral stimulator didn’t seem to be able to reach and that triggered a series of fears about me having some sort of mutant vagina. Luckily, my vagina is completely normal. The key to using the Lucid Dream #32 is the angle of penetration. By tilting it 45 degrees, I could enjoy direct clitoral stimulation while the rotating shaft worked its magic.
Did it do the job? Definitely. It took some patience, but it provided that steady build-up and powerful release. This isn’t something that I would recommend when you’re pressed for time and just have to get off. It is, however, a great toy for those languid moments in bed or when you’re feeling like taking time out for some personal indulgence.
The Lucid Dream #32 is more of a slow burn than an ecstatic rush. It’s the lover that makes you beg, not the one that you pull into the bathroom stall for a quickie. I’ve got a soft spot for nice guys, though, and I’ll be sure to give this one a call back.
Now that the novelty of my first rabbit vibrator has worn off, I have to say that I’m still mightily impressed by what the Lucid Dream #32 has to offer. I’ve only used it three times in the month I’ve had it, but, then again, I never expected the Lucid Dream #32 to become a masturbatory staple. Instead, it’s a very pleasant way to mix things up occasionally when I’m having some fun by myself.
What’s surprised me most is how much knowing how to use the Lucid Dream #32 impacts how much I enjoy it. Maybe others have a natural intuition that tells them what to do with a
rabbit vibrator. I don't. It’s taken a few tries for me to figure out which angles work, the best depth of penetration, etc. I’m still learning, but I’m starting to appreciate how a little knowledge can go a long way. The third time with the Lucid Dream #32 was much more satisfying than the first and I only expect things to improve from here.
On a whim I decided to try anal penetration with the Lucid Dream #32. It wasn’t bad - the width of the shaft makes it very easy - but it’s also clear that the it wasn’t designed for anal play. It shines when it’s doing what it’s designed to do. When it comes to non-clitoral/vaginal simulation, a different toy would be much more useful than pushing the envelope with the Lucid Dream #32.
I like the Lucid Dream #32, but I do have to revise the number of stars I’d give it, moving it from 4 stars to 3 stars. It’s good, but it’s not great. It’s fun and durable - a solid addition to my toy chest - but it’s not something I reach for when I just
have to have a great orgasm.
