The Lucid Dream #48 offers several of the features I look for in a
rabbit vibe. It is slender, has a subtle swirl texturing in the shaft, has a very strong clitoral stimulator, and has a vibrator in the tip of the rotating shaft. I was incredibly excited about getting this toy. Upon use, however, it disappointed me greatly, and I failed to reach orgasm entirely.
The toy takes 3 AAA batteries, which provide a decent amount of power. The clitoral stimulator vibrates with a vengeance, even on the lower settings. It is also, unfortunately, extremely loud. The shaft rotates and vibrates with a decent amount of power, though I did find the shaft rotation slowed and even stopped sometimes when my internal muscles clenched around it. It, on the other hand, is actually incredibly quiet for a vibrating and rotating shaft.
The controls are located on the battery pack at the base of the toy. They consist of high and low controls for the vibration and rotation of both the shaft and the clitoral stimulator, and a fifth button to reverse the shaft rotation (a nice touch). The toy is waterproof, which is also an added benefit.
I think my ultimate problem with the Lucid Dream #48 was with the clitoral stimulator. While incredibly powerful, it is also incredibly small, and just didn’t hit the right places on me. It doesn’t look like an animal, which is a refreshing change, but it is also totally plain, without wings or tendrils or nubs—just a bullet in a jelly coating. Granted, if you are more petite and the clit stimulator happens to hit you in just the right place, this vibe would probably be incredible. For me, though, it just left me rather out in the cold. I’ll try this toy again when I’m looking for something ultra-slender in a rabbit vibe, or possibly just use the clitoral stimulator backwards and independently of the shaft.
This one is definitely non-threatening to beginners and it doesn't look like you're shoving an animal into your crotch, but I still can't get behind this vibrator. These days, for the price, you can just do so, so much better in a rabbit! Still, I will say both motors have held up remarkably well over a year or two.
