My favorite feature of this toy is its flat tip. This angled & smooth surface worked great at getting its strong vibrations to the whole clit and surrounding areas. Luxe is a Pear shaped toy with a smooth hook at the at the thinner end. The 'hook' is where the vibrations are concentrated, and the flared base is where the battery compartment is located. To open the battery casing, you need to push in and up, in one fluid motion. It was difficult for me to open this toy with my brittle nails, I had to enlist the help of a my male counterpart to open for me. The 'Hook' faces in, towards the two button control panel and scoops inward giving it a slightly concave look.

If you are creative you can use this concave feature to your advantage and wedge the Luxe in between your thighs and rock out hands free. The shape of this toy cups the vajay area very nicely, however if you're a guy using this toy I think a imagination is going to be a requirement.

The controls on this toy are a bit limited, but on the positive side that means that this toy has a low learning curve. One power button turns it on, and button with a squiggly line controls the 3 steady speeds and the 4 patterns that you can cycle through. Sometimes the button sticks and you have to press it multiple times to get it to click just right.

This toy is made out a plastic composite, with a velvety outer coating that makes it smooth and almost seamless to the touch. I wouldn't recommend using silicone lubricants with it, because toy materials have a higher tendency to react to the 'blank-cones' in silicone lubes. But I'm sure someone will disagree with my opinion, which once again, would be to use water based lubes and wash it after every use with a anti-bacterial toy cleaner. My favorite toy cleaner is Pjur med clean spray, because not only is it a toy cleaner, but it doubles as a downstairs cleaner, so hooray for two in ones!

The one thing that I really dislike about this toy would be the battery compartment: it gets stuck very easily and it's like you have to press the latch down and push up to get it open. I don't like breaking my nails to get a toy open. The luxe also emits a sort of high-pitched noise when vibrating, it doesn't really bother me too much if i use it under the covers, but it may bother some.

When I used this toy I used it with Shunga secret garden cream, which took mild vibrations to intense, orgasmic ones. I start off using this toy, solely on my clit but as things progress I insert (what little there is to insert) the hook, that scoops inward to stimulate the opening, which is where I really like my vibrations to be centered.

I highly suggest pairing this toy up with your favorite lube, stimulator or glass toy. I include glass specifically because I think it picks up vibrators easier than say silicone or a jelly toy. Which gives the feeling of having dual stimulation, which is always a plus in my book. For me when using this toy, I can just rest Luxe on my lips/clit and she'll stay put while I use my 'Don Wands purple swirl' glass wand.

This vibe is definitely not a massager of any kind, so do not expect deep vibrations by any means. The vibration patter is more on the surface like the first layer of skin-a tickle when compared to the hatachi :)
