Mad as Rabbits.

Muse Massager is almost perfect. It has been a fun ride since the day I got it, and it has provided me with an alternative way to test if I would enjoy the Form 2 or not. While it does have its flaws, I really cannot stay mad when it makes those cute faces at me. As with every other toy, the design and vibrations will not be for everyone. However, if you think it is just super awesome looking, it is worth having just to hold it in your hand! I have such a hard time putting it down these days!

Use

The Muse Massager is a rechargeable vibrator. It is meant to be used on the clitoris, but it can be used on the nipples or to tease and tickle other sensitive parts of the body. I would never suggest that this toy be inserted anally or vaginally. The ears can be used to stimulate the outside of the anus though. I bet this would be awesome on the penis and testicles!
This toy probably reminds a lot of people of the Form 2 by JimmyJane. While I cannot say how they compare against each other, I can say that those who are unsure about whether or not the design will work for their body, this is a great one to test that theory out without having to shell out a lot of money. I have to say that I was one of those that constantly went back and forth on the Form 2, and I wasn't sure if it would work for my clit. I was also worried about the Form's infamous "flaw". When Eden offered me this as an assignment, I immediately thought that this would be a perfect way to see if I would enjoy the Form 2.
This toy is extremely quiet for the amount of power it puts out. It would barely be heard through covers, and especially not through a closed door. Because it is waterproof, this can be taken in the shower where the running water would definitely drown out the noise of this vibrator. The overall design is discreet, and let's face it, it is seriously adorable. As long as you are not freaked out about the fact that it looks like a ninja rabbit when turned on, I think this could be perfect for anyone. It would make an excellent gift for someone who is new to vibrators or are easily intimidated by large or realistic looking vibrators.

Material / Texture

The top half of the Muse, or the purple portion, is made out of body safe silicone. Silicone is non-porous, hypo-allergenic, and latex/phthalates free. It is only compatible with water based lubes, so that is what I suggest anyone use. The silicone is velvety, and it has very little drag when applied to the skin. Any drag that can be found can be fixed with a small drop of lubricant. Because it is silicone on top of plastic, the whole toy is very rigid. The ears have some give at the base of each ear, but the tips are hard because the ears have motors in them. For silicone, Muse does not attract lint and pet hair. I can leave it out in the open and not have to worry about cleaning it before using it every time.
The bottom white part is made out of ABS plastic. Once again, it has all of the features silicone does in terms of it being a safe material for the body. the plastic is very shiny and smooth, which makes it a little difficult to hold onto with lubed up fingers. It might have been better had the entire thing been coated with silicone. The plastic part also makes it hard to use in the shower. Plastic can be used with any types of lubricants, but since the silicone is the most likely part to touch the body, I still suggest only water based lubes.
Muse came with no smells or tastes. There is a slightly visible seam the runs along the sides of the silicone half. It cannot be felt at all with the fingertips. There is also a slight gap where the silicone and plastic meet in the middle. This can collect fluids, so be thorough when cleaning. The plastic part has no seams. It is completely smooth.

Design / Shape / Size

The base is very heavy. It has substantial weight. It is much heavier than the top, so naturally it what I call bottom heavy. The base is also curved. When put on a surface, it rocks back and forth, but it never tips over. Do you know what this is? This is an adult Weeble Wobble. That was the first thing this reminded me of when I held it. You can poke it and push it, but it will never fall over unless you lay it on its side. I lost at least 25 minutes when I first got this because I just kept poking it to make it rock back and forth. There is a slim, clear ring that goes around the middle of the base. When turned on, this ring will shine a very vibrant blue color. It is simply gorgeous to look at, especially in the dark.
The ears are flexible enough to fit my index finger in between them at the base, but I do not feel comfortable flexing it any further. The base of the ears can be pushed in a little, but that is the only plush part of this toy. The tips are very firm as that is where the motors are located. The tips can be spread about two inches, but that is as far as they will go. If pushed together, the ears do not instantly become louder. No matter how hard I press it against my body and no matter what angle I use, I have never had the vibes go into the base of the toy like the Form 2 is known to do. The vibrations stay where they are, but they do diminish a bit when pressure is applied. The only raised parts of the toy are located on the silicone portion. The eyes of the rabbit face are small and round, and they are raised. Above the charging port are the raised letters DC. They are raised enough to be felt with fingers, but not raised enough to cause irritation. When turned on, the same blue lights appear around and above the eyes. These lights combined make three faces, and all of them look like a pissed of bunny. It also looks like Eeyore on crack.

Functions / Performance / Controls

Unfortunately, this toy came with absolutely no instructions. I emailed the company, but I haven't get a reply yet. Most of my questions were answered later by my experience. I did not try to turn it on when it first arrived, and I immediately put it on to charge. The blue lights around the eyes started to blink, but there is some time between each blink, so give it time. I thought I was doing it wrong, or it came with a full charge already, until I saw it blink. After about 2 hours, the blue lights around the eyes glow steady. This charge has lasted me about 45 minutes so far, and I have yet to notice any need to charge it again. I do not know how long the charging time takes after the initial charge, but I will put this information in when I find out. To charge, simply plug the charger into the little indented hole under the raised DC symbol, which is located on the back. Taking the charger out of this hole isn't hard, but it is a little tricky. Be careful, and pull it out slowly. I say this because the silicone underneath the charging port will become untucked. When and if this happens, simply push it, and it should go back in. This has only happened in the one spot. There is a picture below to show what this looks like. This concerns me because I fear this will lead to water getting into the toy, but I have not had a problem so far.
The three faces mentioned and pictured above happen during each and every pattern. They happen in the order of which they are shown above, and they repeat. I thought each pattern would have a face, which would have been cool, but it is the same three faces for each pattern. The ring around the middle flashes along with the pattern though. It honestly looks like a strobe light on some patterns, so those with Epilepsy may want to look into something else. The two raised circles for eyes are also the buttons. The left one is the increase button, and the right one is the decrease button. You can push either one to get started. If you push the decrease button, you will begin on the last pattern. If you push the increase button, you will start on the first pattern. To turn it off, you can either cycle through all the patterns until it shuts off, or you can press and hold the left button until it shuts off. The following are your patterns:
1.)Low steady vibe
2.)Medium steady vibe
3.)High steady vibe
4.)High fast pulses
5.)Long high pulse followed by one long high pulse
6.)Long high pulse followed by two short high pulses
7.)Long escalating pulses
8.)Low throbbing pulses for 5 seconds, two short high pulses, Medium throbbing pulses for 4 seconds, two short high pulses, High throbbing pulses for 6 seconds, two short high pulses
9.)Escalating pulses from low to high, one short high pulse, escalating pulses from high to low, two short high pulses
10.)Escalating pulses from low to high, followed by 7 longer high pulses
All of the vibes are high pitched and buzzy. My body doesn't care as long as it is powerful. I would call the power a 3.5 vrooms, but since I can't rate it like that, I am calling it a light 4 vrooms. There is a motor in each ear, which makes it feel more powerful than regular vibrators. The vibes can numb or irritate sensitive skin if held there too long, but the good news is that hardly any vibrations are carried into the base! This means no itchy fingers! I tried to hold down both buttons in order to lock the toy, but it didn't work. My guess is that it does not have a locking feature.

Care and Maintenance

Thanks to the awesome waterproof feature, Muse is super easy to clean. Warm water and antibacterial soap, toy cleaner, toy wipe, or a 10% bleach solution is all you need to make Muse squeaky clean! Pay special attention to the seam where the silicone and plastic meet. A fingernail should suffice if lubes and other fluids get caught in there.
As said before, only water based lubes should be used with this vibe. If you plan on sharing with a partner, be sure to use the necessary safety methods. The silicone doesn't attract much hair or lint, so I keep it stored in my nightstand drawer. The packaging can be used for storage as well.

Packaging

The packaging is pretty but not useful in terms of information. The outer sleeve has a picture of the toy on the front and back of it. The back of the sleeve shows out some key points of the vibrator. The inner box pulls apart much like a shoebox. The lid has a window, which gives you a look at the vibrator. Inside this box, the vibrator and charger are nestled in a thick and gray foam. The box can be used for future storage, but I much prefer to store it elsewhere. There are no included user manuals, so you are pretty much on your own unless you read this review.

Experience

I think I might like looking at this toy just as much as I do using it. I love to just hold it in the palm of my hand. The curved base sits so perfectly in my hand. While it doesn't work very well in the shower for me, it is awesome just to bring it in there to see the blue lights. We have a dark blue shower curtain, so it is pretty dark in our shower. When turned on, it feels like my shower turned into a rave party! It looks awesome when it is between my thighs. It is like a strobe light for my pussy! I am not a fan of patterns, but this vibe has some interesting ones that constantly intrigue me.
It has been a long time since I was this enthralled with a vibrator. This is a one of a kind, and I smile every time I see it. It makes my day. I think the adult Easter Bunny came early for me this year!
