I admit I was intrigued and unsure about how I would like this unusual little toy. I LOVED it! This is a dual vibrating stimulator that can be used in so many ways we are still discovering where, when and how to use this little baby. It has many speeds and many patterns and so darn many uses!

Everyone should have one of these unique toys and there really isn't a best situation for its use! Seriously, this is one amazing idea! Holy cow someone stop me, I'm gushing...

The PicoBong Mahana is composed of food-grade material, hypo-allergenic, latex free, non-porous, phthalates free silicone and hard but flexible plastic. It has a smooth texture and a matte finish that goes silky with a drop or two of lube, perfect for just about every user. The Mahana has a fairly pleasant smell that doesn't remain on skin and the silkiness of the silicone makes touching this baby sensual.

This is a toy I would recommend for every user regardless of 'experience' as the textures are pleasant and non-threatening.

The plastic handle on the toy is non-porous but very flexible, in fact it seems to get more flexible with use.

The PicoBong Mahana has the most unusual shape I have had the luxury to review. I love a clitoral vibe and this is quite possibly THE quintessential clitoral vibe! It has two vibrating, approximately 4 inch, silicone bullets attached to a smooth plastic, flexible handle. The whole toy fits in the palm of my hand. The bullets are about 3.75 inches around making them comfortable for insertion both vaginally and anally. For those who love double penetration the whole thing will fit vaginally but for goodness sake please don't try to fit both of the bullets into your anus! Use caution as this could pull a disappearing act if the conditions are right.

The vibes work via push button and the reader will want to be sure to look over the pamphlet that comes with the toy to understand how the controls work. The controls are located on each of the vibrating bullets. This was the only 'design flaw' that I can see in the toy. Each of the bullets screws onto the handle and it messes with my anal retentive nature to have the controls on opposite sides of the toy! Try as I might, and I have tried, I cannot get the controls to line up so that pushing them simultaneously is easy. Ok, yes, it's a small nuisance and I have gotten over it but I thought I would mention it. It does make changing speeds during play a bit jarring as I found I had to stop, move the toy and find the press button. Again it is another small nuisance in the grand scheme of things.

The toy uses two AAA batteries that rest inside the bullets themselves. It's a rather ingenious design that allows for maximum flexibility in the handle of the toy.

All in all I do like the design: it is innovative and at the same time I wonder that no one thought of this before. It is small enough to hide anywhere and tough enough to take a beating, as my son proved! If I had had this as a beginner I probably would have been toying a whole lot earlier but then again my collection would have probably been quite a bit smaller as this baby can damn near do it all.

The design is discreet enough for travel and doesn't scream sex toy, though it might lead to questions or raised eyebrows.

Functions, oh my goodness does this thing have functions! Let's discuss the controls first though: On each of the bullets is a raised area that has the logo PicoBong. On this logo rest the + and - keys.

Press the + on either bullet and you get the first speed, a low and nearly silent vibration that is nevertheless easily felt and deep. The Mahana builds up the intensity of the vibration as well as deepens the thump of the vibration as you continue to press and hold the button. It goes from a tickling, soft but deep thump to a vigorous but still deep straight vibration. The highest setting of straight vibration is quieter than most cell phones on vibe setting and won't burn your clit. The deeper rumble of this vibe will not leave even the clit-o-steels out in the cold.

After holding the buttons simultaneously to highest straight vibe press quickly the + to get a pulsing pattern. Each bullet operates independently leading to all sorts of combinations and applications. Press again and you get a faster pulse, and again for an even faster pulse. If you mix and match the bullets you get escalating, pulsating, and rollercoastering effects. There is DEFINITELY something here for every user.

Press the - button to return to straight vibes and then hold to turn the bullets off. I like a vibe that can turn off with one press but given the silence of this toy it isn't that much of a concern.

You won't be plagued by the toy changing speeds at that crucial moment but you might not like having to stop and fiddle around with the buttons. The control pad isn't horrible but it's not award winning, at least in this reviewer's opinion.


The toy is waterproof up to 'a depth of 1 meter', PicoBong maintains. I don't have access to a swimming pool to test this out but I can report that the toy stayed bone dry after washing in the sink and playing in the tub.

I worried about whether this toy would guzzle batteries given its power and use of AAA batteries. I got a new set of batteries and was given an afternoon to try the toy. I put a battery in my MP3 player and two in the Mahana. My Mahana is still going strong after two hours but my MP3 battery was used up!

Wash the Mahana in warm water with some mild soap and it's good as new. A good commercial spray or wipe along with a rinse will work equally well. You could spray with a 10% bleach and water solution and you should pay a bit of attention to the seam where the bullet connects to the handle. An old toothbrush or a washcloth will keep the raised edges of the PicoBong logo clean.

The silicone on this toy doesn't pick up lint and fluff as horribly as some of my other silicone toys, but a rinse before use will take care of anything that does get on it.

I store my Mahana in a box I made especially for it but a toy pouch would work as well. Some say you should store silicone toys wrapped in lint free cloths to prevent them from melting all over each other, but I have seen little evidence that good quality toy will do this. Considering this is a toy with a higher price tag some caution might be warranted.

Likewise I have had no problems with silicone lube causing warping or stickiness on my Mahana but I spot test all silicone lubes with my silicone toys just to be absolutely safe. Of course water based lubes are always safe with silicone so pick your poison!

The Mahana comes in a cardboard and plastic box that is recyclable. It looks like a set of fancy earphones in the box! Along with your toy comes a fancy die with pictures of the other toys in the PicoBong line instead of dots. That is the first indication that this is a special toy! I had the amazing luxury of being able to try this toy with both guys just after I received it. I tried it as a clit stimulator and was blown away but when I began to experiment with the other uses for the toy I was SOLD.

One of the guys ran it over my nipples and we discussed how wicked it looked and how deeply it could be felt as it pinched the nipple just so...Then I slipped it over the head of a penis and there was much less conversation.

We ran it over the anal rim, around the testes, even over the toes while they were being sucked on....we couldn't get enough of the many ways this toy can be bent, wrapped and slid!

Yes, even though it's not generally recommended I did try sliding one bullet inside vaginally and the other anally. All I can say is WOW!

It's so easy to clean and offers so much that I really feel this is probably a line to watch....and it's Lelo so it had to be good, right?
