Maybe I'll Remove the Vibrator and just Use The Panties

The concept of this toy is exciting. However, the actual thing is a bore. It lacks any excitement, thrill or stimulation. The little stimulator doesn't carry much vibrations and feeling them only internally does nothing for me. Wearing this with the vibrator inserted feels little different than wearing a tampon. That vibrates. Unless you are extremely sensitive and easily stimulated, this is not going to do much for you. It didn't even make for a good teasing foreplay toy for me.

Use

The Love Rider is a pair of panties with a sewn-in, hollow dildo and a removable bullet vibrator. Two rounds of batteries are also included. The "self-pleasurizer" title gives the impression that the panty-vibrator could be used as a masturbation/solo toy, but I highly doubt anybody will get enough pleasure from this to use for masturbation purposes, so I'm going to say it's best used as a couple's foreplay toy. Using something as boring as this alone isn't much fun, but a partner involved can add some spice. However, that doesn't mean everybody would find it lacking as a masturbation toy. I just doubt anybody will reach orgasm from this alone.

The pair of panties are worn and the little dildo-thingy is inserted into the vagina. Since it is sewn into the panty, you either have to insert it or leave it out in the panties, which is funky and uncomfortable. It stimulates the first few inches of the inner vagina and that's all. There's no clitoral stimulation, and the extremely weak vibrations provide such little stimulation internally that it's not going to get many of us very far. The small dildo doesn't do a lot either, since it just hangs out at the entrance, doesn't move and doesn't stimulate. You can always grab ahold of the little round base and try to use movements such as thrusting -- which is hard to do since it's short -- or some other type of movement for stimulation.

The pair of panties with the attached dildo-thingy could be worn under clothing, I suppose, but for some, the legs bunch up under jeans, so it may be best worn under a skirt or dress. Since the little dildo-thin is sewn into the panty, you won't have to worry about it coming out and falling from beneath your skirt. If the vibrator is turned on while you wear it, it can be heard outside your clothing, but is still pretty quiet. Someone standing next to you could hear it, but not if there's noise in the room. However, this shouldn't be worn in public places because the noise will surely be heard by someone & the bullet turns on very easily, so you'd have to remove the bullet all together and just wear the panty + dildo thingy instead. Nobody would know if you did that.

This makes an interesting toy for kegel exercising since you can wear the panties, insert the toy & walk around, squeezing your muscles. I was able to do this and squeeze it, then push out & the toy would slide out, which definitely made it look like I had a penis. But it was fun. The toy won't reach your g-spot or anything, so you're pretty limited to kegels or entrance stimulation only.

**Pay attention to the different colors my photos show. Some show really bright pink, and some are taken without flash so you can better see the mismatching colors.

Material / Texture

Everything included shown above: Bullet, panties & sleeve.

The Toy's Material is PVC. PVC rates only a 2/10 on EF's safety scale. It & the bullet are both phthalates free.

The Bullet's Material is ABS, silver painted plastic. Plastic is non-porous & rates an 8/10 on EF's safety scale. ABS plastic is made of food grade material, is hypo-allergenic, latex & phthalates free.

The Panty's Material is 90% Nylon & 10% Spandex, exclusive of stretchy, lacey trim. The lace trim is made of 90% Polyamide & 10% Spandex. The bow is Polyester.

The panties just reek of cheap. They feel cheap, they look cheap and they already showed two tiny runs in the front. However, the thin and super-stretchy, lightweight material make them so comfortable. The lacey trim is stretchy, not scratchy and the panties feel silky.

The sleeve or "dildo-thingy" smelled like vinegar to me and it had what appeared to be some sort of really light coating on it because it shimmered all over the pink toy. The panties just smelled like new panties. Once washed, the smell went away. The bullet had no odor.

The sleeve or "dildo-thingy" is pretty smooth and doesn't have a sticky or grabby/draggy feel to it. It's matte, but the hollowed out core is not, so it's more grabby and causes trouble when removing the bullet. Lubricant on the bullet helps with this. The sleeve also isn't bad about collecting much hair or lint. Even though it's smooth, I did need a small drop of lubricant for easy insertion.

As you can see from my photos, the sleeve is hollow in the middle (for the bullet) so I'm able to completely squish it. When the bullet is inserted, it's more solid and won't squish up when inserted. However, the bullet doesn't slide all the way to the tip. The entire bulbous tip is hollow, except for this weird piece of PVC material inside of that part. It looks like a piece of cut off PVC was just stuck up in there. This must be to try and prevent it from squishing together when inserted, since the bullet only goes so far inside the sleeve. I can squeeze the tip while the bullet is in the sleeve and it'll squish flat.

With the bullet inserted, tip is still squishy:
    • Flexible
    • Light odor
    • Somewhat porous

Design / Shape / Size

Made in China. Package made in USA.

For some reason, the entire design of this thing is very odd to me. I find it strange that the sleeve is sewn into the panty because that just complicates things. I would prefer being able to situate the sleeve where I want it in the panty. It's sewn into a crotch-liner type deal, which is made of the same material as the rest of the panties. I just feel like with the sleeve being sewn in, it makes this less hygienic. Also, it's going to make it harder for all anatomies to have the toy perfectly placed. As it is, the panties fit so awkwardly because if the sewn-in toy. They gap open around my crotch and the base portion that's sewn in, gives the appearance of a penis in my panties! I plan to remove the sleeve all together. Plus, it would make it possible to wear these as regular panties sometimes too, if the thing wasn't sewn in.

As I said, the way this works is you slide the bullet into the hollowed out base of the sleeve, much like a dildo that has a hollow inside to allow a bullet to be inserted. In my photos, you may be able to see the seams through the base of the toy, attaching it to the panties.

The size of the toy is tiny. The tip is rounded and that makes insertion very comfortable and easy. The sleeve with the slightly bulbous tip is described as a g-spot stimulator on the box. This definitely is not a g-spot stimulator. My g-spot is so easily stimulated that even a mini Luna Bead stimulates it, and my g-spot did not even wake up when my partner grabbed the base & wiggled it up and down in hopes of hitting my g-spot. It's short & not thick at all, so I doubt there will be anybody who finds the size too big. I feel like most people will find it too small for much stimulation.

Toy's Measurements
Length: 3 1/4"
Insertable length on the product page says 1 1/4". I can insert 3".
Diameter 3/4"
Bulbous end at widest is a little over 3 1/2" around (using a measuring tape.) Then below the little bulbed-out part, it's a skinny shaft all the way down, measuring a little over 2 1/2" around (also measured with measuring tape.)
Weight 3.4oz

Panties' Measurements
Size O/S
Waist: 14"
From top of front to bottom of crotch: 5 1/2" long.
From top of butt to bottom of butt: 7" long.
Lace trim almost 1" long.

The box describes the panties as "hipsters." I would agree. They're not quite boyshorts, but close, so hipsters fit. I can pull them up high on my hips or wear them low. They have a full-back, which is nice and comfortable. They're not the most flattering on me, but they're definitely not un-flattering. I think most people will enjoy the easy, light fit. They don't dig in at all.

The panties consist of 3 different shades of pink. In some of my photos, you can see this. The majority of the panty is a shiny, hot pink color. The lace trim runs the entire waist and around the legs, and against the hot pink color, the lace appears almost red, but it's just a different shade of pink. Then there's a light pink bow on the front. These different shades of pink kind of made it look even cheaper -- like a whole bunch of things were just throw together. And I'm not someone who even cares about matching things, but the different shades of pink do look odd.

My Measurements
Jean/shorts/size: Zero
Weight: 93lbs
Height: 5 2"
Waist: 26" Lower waist. Where I'm a bit wider, the love handle area: 29"

Functions / Performance / Controls

The bullet is your typical push-button bullet -- the button is located at the very base, it's black, squishy and easily pushed by accident or by shifting when I sit while wearing the panties. Push the button once, it turns on. Push it again and hold it for less than half a second and it turns off.

One good thing is the batteries have held up for a little while. I've not used it for half an hour or a little longer, and they're still going, which is surprising for a bullet. It takes 3 LR44-3 batteries & it comes with two sets of them (a total of 6 batteries.) You simply unscrew the bottom cap of the bullet, insert the batteries (flat side with the number engraved up) and then screw it back on.

**You may be able to see the seams in these photos.

The bullet has only one weak speed. Since the bullet is used inside the sleeve, and then inserted into the vagina, it does very little to stimulate me and I hardly feel much going on inside there. I wish the vibrations were strong enough that I could feel it externally on the clitoris.

The vibrations aren't easily felt anywhere. The bullet is obviously going to be stronger when it isn't inserted into the PVC sleeve, although it's a thin sleeve, it does mute the already-weak vibrations. They aren't easily felt at the tip since the bullet doesn't reach the tip when it's in the sleeve. I cannot feel much vibration at the base either, so I would say they're most easily felt right in the middle, the shaft part of the toy. The vibration setting is a steady vibration & I would describe it as just a bit stronger than the vibration of my cell phone. It's definitely the weakest bullet I own.

You could always use the bullet alone if you didn't like it in the sleeve and panties.

I've mentioned the sound a little already. It's loud enough that if you were to wear the thing in public and turn on the vibrator, people could notice the noise. However, it's not easily heard outside of a closed door. In fact, while wearing it, my partner couldn't even heard it while it was inside me & he was in the same room. I'd have dealt with a noisy vibrator if it meant a stronger one, though. This could be used by those with room-mates probably. As long as a TV, music and/or an air conditioner is running, you could very well get by unnoticed.
    • Discreet sound
    • Not enough variety
    • Weak

Care and Maintenance

The panties are hand-wash in cold water only. This is probably best as it wouldn't likely do well to throw a pair of panties with an attached dildo into the washer. I figure they'd tear that way.

Clean the sleeve with warm water and anti-bacterial soap.

The bullet can be cleaned with hot water & soap as well as an isopropyl alcohol solution. Or just use toy
wipes on both the bullet and sleeve.

Water and silicone based lubricants are both safe to use with the sleeve & bullet. However, I'd be careful not to use any colored lubricants that might stain the panties. I have use Liquid Silk (which is white) with this and it didn't get on the panties and wouldn't stain if it did. I have one lubricant that's purple and I would not use that with these in case of staining.

The bullet is waterproofed by a tiny O-ring, but that O-ring is very small and wiggles around on the base, so although it did hold up when water was ran over it, I do worry it could leak with a whole lot of use in the water.

As for storage, I just put the entire panties in my toy box. It can also be stored in a drawer. The panties take up little room, but the sleeve and bullet are tiny, so it can all fit in an underwear drawer.
    • Easy to store
    • High maintenance

Packaging

The packaging is one of the few good things I can say about this. While it isn't suitable for storage as it's just thick paper, and would take up more space than the product, it is clean and doesn't contain nudity! Cal Extoics usually have a lot of tacky imaging on their packages, but this was okay enough that I wouldn't mind people seeing it. Instead of using people, there's a clear mannequin wearing the panties. It isn't discreet though! It shows the entire product on the front and sides & says "Love Rider, Self Pleasurizer" in large text on every side of the box. The box does have plenty of information, which I will list below with photos.

Front:

The front says "Love Rider, Self Pleasurizer" as does the back and sides. The front and side has a photo of the clear mannequin wearing the panties. It also shows the inner part with the sleeve attached. It says "The complete strap-on-system," which seems off because it's not a strap on.

Back:

The back says the following (in English, Dutch, French, Spanish and Russian):

-Stretch-to-fit hipster adorned with sensual lace.
-Soft, comfortable lining.
-3.25" X 1"/8.25 cm G-spot stimulation.
-Removable vibrating massager (the bullet.)
-Easy push-button control.
-Washable.
-Waterproof.
-Batteries included.

The bottom of the back has several logo thingys. They include the waterproof logo, the Cal Exotics one, the "Safe & Pure" logo, "CE", the do-not-throw-in-trash symbol & the "3 watch size batteries included." Then it tells you to register your product at vibetronics.com.

Side:

One side gives the typical "novelty-only disclaimer," which goes like this (in bold text) "This product is intended for use as a novelty product only. For external use only. Any product use for medical purpose or for a use that has an adverse effect on any function of the body is prohibited."

"Copyright 2012 by California Exotic Novelties LLC. Sold as a novelty only (all in caps)."All rights reserved. The shape and appearance of this package is a trademark and trade dress of California Exotic Novelties, LLC."

Then it states the materials, all of which I have included in the appropriate section of this review. Then it has Cal Exotics' website listed.

"Twist cap securely before use, wash before and after each use. Remove batteries when not in use. Always use water-based lubricants for maximum pleasure."
    • Not discreet
    • Very informative

Experience

With a little elbow grease, you can fit another bullet into the sleeve. The only problem is, my bullets were all too long to fit, so the bottom portion would stick out. I just gave up because it's not a worth-it product to deal with going out and buying a new bullet to fit in hopes of it being stronger. If you happen to want to do that though, keep in mind that the bullet should probably be about 2" long (not much longer or it'll stick out) and about 2" or less around. This way it'll fit in the sleeve better.

I love fun toys like a panty vibrator, but they never work out for me. This was no different & the least useful panty vibrator I've owned yet. I like the comfortable panties, the pretty color and how it fits without digging in or being uncomfortable on the skin, but the vibrator part is a complete fail. The bullet is too weak for any pleasure -- this coming from a girl who has a very easily stimulated crotch! The biggest problem is that there's no major stimulation. The little sleeve barely feels like anything other than a tampon inside of you, since it doesn't move or do anything and the vibrations aren't stimulating internally. The "G-spot stimulator" is non-existent. Had there been at least some strength to the vibrations, I probably would've felt some kind of stimulation from this.

I pretty much feel like unless for some reason, this would be a thrill to use and you can get off from a thrill alone, then this might be fun for you. Or for those who are very easily stimulated/sensitive internally, this might actually do something. The bad thing is, I do not know any female who would get pleasure from this. I'd get further if I just removed the vibrating sleeve and stuck a bullet in my panties.
