This toy might be more suitable for foreplay, with its buzzy, shallow vibrations and small size, but I really wouldn't recommend it as a solo toy.

Its girth is small and not that suitable for penetration. I only got off on it when really aroused and using it together with a more powerful toy. What really annoys me, though, is its shallow, low-frequency vibrations. At the highest setting, I felt sensations on the skin but nothing beyond that. It got ticklish after a while, like an itch you can't scratch. So only get it if you're the type who likes your vibes pocket-sized and shallow -- and I don't doubt it might work well for some of you.

I found the texture pleasant and smooth to the touch, being velvet-coated plastic. This toy seems fairly sturdy and is listed as being safely phthalates-free. I took it into the shower with me when I was still trying it out and it survived the water well.

Design-wise, the Decadence is beautifully made, with a nice curvature. It is pleasant to look at and easy to store since it comes packaged with a matching box for handy storage. These were the two factors that initially attracted me to the product. Its size is small, too small in my opinion, although this also makes it "discreet" to carry around. I found the shape too narrow for clitoral stimulation too, sadly.

The Decadence comes with a dial knob that you turn to increase or decrease the level of vibration. There is only one mode of vibration that may get monotonous. The highest level it can reach is pretty strong and surprisingly quiet, but unfortunately too shallow for me to feel. The dial knob has some raised areas that give it a good grip for turning. The toy uses one "AA" in a battery compartment that is easily opened by rotating the base.

This toy is made of plastic and is therefore low-maintenance. It's also waterproof, so you can wash it under the tap with anti-bacterial soap if you don't want to go to the trouble of getting toy cleaner. Putting it in its case should be sufficient for storage -- but always take the batteries out to prevent melting and leaks.

I guess this toy is just not for everyone. I do wish I hadn't spent so much shipping it over to my country!
