LUXE Euphoria - vibrating head massager discontinued by Cal Exotics - review by ImaGodiva

The Luxe Euphoria, which was instantly renamed "The Duck" by my husband and me as soon as we saw it, is a small, curvy vibe with a duck-shaped head that can be used in many ways. It is described as a "massager", but due to its small size and shape it probably wouldn't work well for general muscle massage except in a very small targeted area.

It would be best used as a clit vibe by those who do not need strong vibrations, by couples during foreplay, or by beginners wanting to check out different ways to use a mostly external vibrator. It was an unexpected favourite for my husband, used for shallow anal penetration, when I sneaked it in during a blow job (always have permission before sneaking anything into any orifice belonging to another person). In fact, that was the best use we found for it!

Most importantly, do not use this toy in water, even though it says "Waterproof" on the box. It is possibly splash-proof but it is NOT waterproof.

The top of the Luxe Euphoria, the part shaped like a duck's head, is food-grade silicone which is a very safe material, rated 10 on Edenfantasys' materials guide. It feels soft and velvety to the touch, and the texture feels really good wherever you use it. It has a little drag to it, and you might want to use a nice lubricant with it (you should not use silicone-based lube with a silicone toy to prevent damaging it). It is firm with just a little give when you squeeze it. I really like its texture.

There is a silver hard plastic ring around the middle of the toy, which is an 8 on the material safety guide. Everything below the ring is also hard plastic, but it is coated to give the hard plastic a velvety texture like the silicone top. This is described as "PU coated plastic," and it has a 7 on the material safety guide.

The Luxe Euphoria is hypoallergenic and pthalate-free, and has no noticeable smell.

Mine is the blue color, and I really like it. It is a rich medium navy blue, and I find it to be a nice break from pink or purple.

The Luxe Euphoria is about 5 1/2 inches from end to end, and about 2 inches wide at the head.



I really like the duck-head shaped design of this toy. It has lots of interesting angles and it feels nice on the clit, labia, perineum, external anus, and nipples. It feels different depending on its angle, and you can get many different sensations with it.


You can press the whole toy against you, from the bottom of the "duck bill" to the curved handle, and feel the vibrations along your entire external vaginal area. You can use the tip of the "duck bill" to target vibes to the clit area, or use the top of the head to have a slightly larger targeted area. You can insert the whole head vaginally, which gives you about two inches of penetration and tickles the vaginal entrance nicely. It is not long enough to reach most G-spots, and it's too small to provide serious stimulation when inserted, but it's good for foreplay.

The very best way we found to use it was for shallow anal insertion on my husband while I gave him oral sex. As I slowly slid it in, the sensation surprised him and he soon had a particularly powerful orgasm. The vibe pattern he liked best was #6; short quick pulses. I can't vouch for it personally as I haven't yet tried it this way, but it sure looked like it was good! The tip of the "duck bill" is flexible enough and not too sharp so it's not uncomfortable. The handle seems wide enough to stop the toy from being inserted too far but it doesn't have a wide base like most anal toys so you should be cautious when using it this way.

The handle of the toy fits perfectly in your hand and doesn't get slippery when in use, even with lube, because of the coating on the plastic. I really like how this toy is contoured to be easy to hold and use.

The control pad is a white oval area at the back of the Euphoria, and there are two buttons. One that turns the toy on and off, and the other changes the intensity/pattern of the vibrations. The buttons are easy to use and I didn't have any problem avoiding pushing them by mistake during use.


There are 7 patterns of vibration:

1. Steady soft vibrations
2. Steady medium vibrations
3. Steady stronger vibrations
4. "Roller coaster" pattern vibrations
5. Long pulses
6. Short quick pulses
7. Four short pulses followed by a longer one

The Euphoria's vibrations are quite buzzy and not very strong. I would say they are a medium-strength. I like strong vibrations and there is no way this toy would take me all the way to orgasm, but it's fun to play around with because of all the vibration patterns and the different sensations caused by the varying angles of the toy's shape.

It's not very noisy, even at the highest settings. It wouldn't be heard through a door and probably not through a blanket.

Even though the box clearly says the Euphoria is waterproof, it IS NOT. I took it into the bath with me and had it in or near water for about 15 minutes and all seemed fine until I dried it off and had it sitting on my bed next to me, when it suddenly turned on all by itself! What a surprise! A haunted toy? I took it apart and the battery compartment had water in it. There is a silicone ring inside the battery compartment door that is supposed to keep water out, but apparently it doesn't do its job. I took the batteries out and let it dry with the compartment cover off, and it works fine now, but I won't get it wet again.



The toy is powered by two AAA batteries. The batteries fit snugly in the compartment and can be difficult to remove.

The "duck-head" part of the Euphoria is made from food-grade silicone. This portion of the toy is non-porous and can be cleaned with disinfectant toy cleaner or soap and water. Although silicone can be boiled or placed in the dishwasher, this toy cannot be cleaned that way due to the other components. Always use silicone-free lubricant and store the toy away from other silicone toys.

The hard plastic silver ring around the middle of the toy and the "PU coated plastic" handle should be cleaned with toy cleaner or soap and water (avoid the battery compartment door).

There are some seams around the silver ring, the control panel, and the battery compartment door that will need a little extra attention to get them completely clean.

The Luxe Euphoria comes in a translucent plastic box that shows the toy through the front. It has descriptions of the toy's features on the back. It would provide storage for a while but wouldn't last forever.

Even though this toy would be most useful for beginner toy users, there is enough about it to make it worth a look by advanced users also.
