Not waterproof
I have not tried all of the top name brands here on EF, but out of the ones I have tried are LELO. I now own a couple of LELO items and have been extremely happy with all of them. I can securely say that I love LELO. The next thing on my list was to try the LELO Mia. I wanted it for some time, but like a lot of things I push it back. I always find something else to buy. I finally said ENOUGH and ordered the Mia in pink.
Just as all of LELO packaging you feel as you are getting a gift when you are handed one of LELOS items. I always feel that way. The Mia comes in this beautiful pink box with the company logo on the cover. The box is not large at all it is a decent size; I'd say it is about the size of a box of candy. When you flip the box over there, is a picture of the Mia itself. The picture on the back of the box is the actual size of the toy. The back of the box also has some writing on it the writing is not that important. The back of the box just list what is in the box. This same information is repeated in a few other languages. When you open the box, you will notice that the pink casing is a casing, in a casing. The actual case that the Mia comes in, is a beautiful, hard case. It does have the company logo, but that is about it. The box is hard, not too hard but hard enough to protect the toy from being broken.
When you open the box the first thing you see is the Mia. The Mia is in two pieces, the top and the vibrator. When you remove the molded plastic cover. The first thing you notice is the usb port. If you do not know by the product page, but the Mia is charged trough usb. You can plug it into your computer or gaming system. I charge mine by hooking it up to mine or my boyfriend's Playstation. I do like the usb charger because it does not take up a plug hole or having to unplug something else to charge my toy.
You will also notice that the Mia comes with a storage pouch, user manual, a one year warranty, and an extended 10 year warranty. The Mia also comes with a cord the cord is an extender. You can plug the Mia directly into the power source, or you can use the cord to connect them both. Which, is a marvelous thing because connecting your Mia to the power source directly might not be an option. The package is discreet you could give it to someone and would not know what it was. The discreet size makes traveling with the Mia extremely easy. You can just slide it into your pocket, or just hold it into your hands. If someone did see it in your purse, they would think it was lipstick or something.
When you have the Mia in your hands you will notice not only how smooth it is, but also how discreet looking it is. The Mia is 4 1/4 in length and about 1 ½” insertable. I would not recommend inserting it the Mia. It becomes slippery when wet you could lose grip of the Mia. The Mia looks like a tube of lipstick or chopstick. The Mia has no texture what-so-ever, nor does it have any drag. The lack of texture is perfect for beginners and more sensitive users. You will notice that there is a silver band that wraps around the entire toy. The silver band (from what I believe) it is what brings the usb and the motor together. Please do not mistake it for an o-band or something that will keep water out of the motor. The Mia is not waterproof. When I went to wash mine I was not thinking, and I ran it under water. It was by the grace of God that it did not mess up my toy. I ran it under the water and realized HOLY CRAP! This is not waterproof. When it is time to wash the toy you should just use your toy cleaner and wipe it down. When you are using the Mia, you should make sure that the top is pushed all the way down. You want to make sure none of your own juices or lube gets into the usb area.

Experience
The Mia is made of plastic and silicone the plastic can be used with water, oil and silicone lube. The buttons are made of silicone, and silicone can be used with water-based lube. I would only recommend using water based lube with the Mia. You will notice that the Mia has two different ends. One end of the Mia is at more of a point, and the other is more of a flat, angled surface with the LELO logo. The more pointed end is where most of the vibrations are felt and is perfect for pinpoint stimulation. The opposite end has more of a flat surface, which is perfect if you do not want a more pointed end. The flat end is perfect for all over clitoral stimulation, although the pointed end is where most of the vibrations are felt. You can also feel the vibrations very well at the flat end.
The Mia has one two button dial pad. It has two buttons a “+” and a “-” To turn on the Mia you have to press, and hold down the “+” for a few seconds. When you need to turn off the Mia you have to hold down the “-” and allow the vibrations to come to a complete stop. When you have Mia at the highest setting, and you want to turn it off you have to hold down the button, and the Mia goes through the previous lower settings until it comes to a complete stop.
The Mia has nine different vibrations the vibrations are.
Rumble
Low
Medium
High
Extra high
High pulsations
High fast pulsation
High fast beats
High beats with short breaks
Once you get to the fifth setting, it does not go any higher. When it gets to the highest steady vibrations, hold the button for a few more seconds it will take you to the patterns. The Mia also has light indicators that flash a reddish color when press down on the buttons. The light indicators also flash when the toy is charging, when it is fully charged the flashing stops. It does not indicate when the battery is low, which was a disappointment for me. The toy also shuts off on its own when on for a long time. I love that setting because it saves your battery life. The Mia takes about two hours to charge from being fully dead, and it would last you about an hour and a half. When using the Mia at its highest setting, you can not hear it through the covers. The vibrations are not in the power house range, but it is strong enough to get you off.

Follow-up commentary
6 months after original review
I still love my Mia after having it for so long. It's has a decent amount a vibrations in such a small compact device. I'm able to carry it round and don't have to worry about someone seeing it and wondering what it is. I love that it's rechargeable. Mine is still working and going strong. I do wish that it was waterproof so that I can use it in the bathtub, but it isn't. I hope the someday come out with a waterproof one.

Mias USB cover cap
-
I've done a little reading up on the Mia and found that many people were having problems with the cap falling off during use. Since Mia is not waterproof, I wanted to know if this was a defect or is this is something that happens to the Mias over time. I am looking to get one for my girlfriend, but wanted to know more about this problem before I purchase it. Also, I read that LELO has made improvements to Mias motor. Is that the only improvement that was made? Or does anyone have the same problem with the cap falling off on the new Mia?
Thanks!!

Any USB vibrators that you can use WHILE they are charging?
-
So I see there's no way you could use this one while it's charging, and apparently the same goes for the Fairy Baby. Does anyone know of one you can use while it's charging via USB?
-
I think the We-Vibe Tango might be usable since it looks like it's got a really long extension cord. But I don't own one.
-
I'd be worried about the risk of electrocution. Also, the power draw of simultaneous use and charging might fry your USB port.

New Lelo Mia?
-
Does anyone have the "new and improved" Lelo Mia? I'm curious if it's a lot better.
-
I didn't even know about the new and improved Mia, now I'm curious because I was thinking about getting the Mia with my next order.
-
I just went on the website and looked, I'm hoping that the one I order will be the new and improved one, because they said that they started making them better as of February. Now I'm even more excited to try it out :)

Thank you for viewing Mia – clitoral vibrator review page!

This is such a cute concept! Thanks for the review!
thanks for the review :3
Awesome review. I've been looking at this one or one of the new we vibe ones.
I absolutely LOVE my Mia! She is my 'go to' clit vibe out of all the ones I have so far. I believe she is one of the cheapest I have too so that's saying something. Lelo was spot on with this little one!
Great job on the review and love the pics
@Ryuson, Lady dream kitten, Thanks for reading and leaving a comment.
@LingaLoo- I think the Mia is worth it for the price. I too also have been thinking about getting a we vibe. I'm not 100% I would like it.
@Shellz31- I really like Mia too. I don't know if she would be one of my go to toys yet, but that may change. I too also think she's one of the cheapest vibes. Most vibes less than 60$ aren't rechargeable. Thanks so much for leaving a comment!
Wow, awesome review, especially with the pictures, thanks for the hard work
i'm wanting to try this! great review
I think this is the best review I have seen you write. I hadn't had a chance to look through ALL the other reviews but I am really fond of this one. Great pictures. Definitely shows all of the things we want to know about this toy. So proud of you!
On another note, I've wanted this toy for so long but can't come up with the money yet. I can't wait to try it out myself. I'm surprised no one bought this one for me at the bachelorette's party!
Great review
thanks for this review!
