Great for first-timers, dorm-dwellers, travelers, people with nosy roommates, and folks with insecure boyfriends, absolutely nothing about the Hello Kitty Vibe looks at all like a penis, but packs a pretty big punch for a cute little kitty with a bow.

This cute little vibe accomplishes just what it sets out to do, and then some!

It's a hilarious novelty all on its own, but it takes its job as a vibrator seriously to boot, and will definitely get you off in no time flat.

Use

This makes a great gag gift, first vibrator for your toy-shy girlfriend, or travel sized playtoy.

It's cute, relatively small, discrete, quiet, and its hard exterior allows it to pack a punch you wouldn't expect from something pink and topped off with Hello Kitty. Those unfamiliar with toys would be hard pressed to identify it as a sex item at all, which is definitely good if you're sharing a bathroom.

Material / Texture

The hard plastic of the toy is really your best bet for an item like this. Not only does the plastic transfer sensation well, but it's easily washed and contributes to the effect of a discrete sex toy.

The ears/bow can be a bit pokey if you're planning on using it internally at all, but externally it does not cause a problem.

Design / Shape / Size

This was my first vibrator ever, and it made a lasting impression.

It's compact, but powerful, relatively quiet, and lasted for years. My tastes have grown a little more wild since then, but it would still be my first choice if I needed a travel friendly vibrator.

Even if someone finds and identifies it, the adorable design takes away from the 'this was touching someone's sex organs' factor (the easy to clean material helps, too!).

It's easy to switch off to boot, which is nice if you're using it under the covers and happen to get walked in on. I'm looking at you, dorm-dwellers!

Functions / Performance / Controls

The vibrations are located in the head: Hello Kitty's head, to be precise. They're quite targeted, making it a great clitoral vibe.

There is only one speed, but it's neither too intense nor too dull. I would class it as "perfect", but if it's a bit too much for you, using it over your underwear can help.

It's easy to use; you just need to twist it to turn it on, and twist it back to turn it off.

In terms of wear-and-tear, this is a pretty amazing vibe. It lasted years of heavy use before the motor went, and didn't eat up the batteries too badly either.

Care and Maintenance

Taking care of this toy is easy!

As an external toy that is not made of a 'sticky' material, lube isn't needed to enjoy it (adding to the 'discrete' quality of the vibe!).

The hard plastic is wonderful in regards to storing. I just toss the vibe into my underwear drawer for hiding, as it doesn't tend to pick up lint at all.

Wash with soap & warm water.

Packaging

A nice little clear plastic box holds the toy, which is centered in a styrofoam cube at the base. The box I got was in Japanese, so I'm not sure what it said, but I definitely would not have identified it as a vibrator if someone were to have shown it to me. It looked more like a novelty pen or trinket from Japan. Not even a single naked lady to be found.

Watch out if you have roommates who speak Japanese, though!
