Mother of Mia: The best lipstick vibe ever.

The Mia is a great toy for beginners and for advanced users. It can easily be charged via USB, and can hold power for about 2 sessions of 15 to 20 minutes of use. It's discreet enough that those who do not know what it is would not think that it's a vibrator. Plus, I have been using it for more than 2 years already and it's still alive!

Use

This is probably one of my favorite discreet vibes. The Mia is best used for external stimulation and it won't disappoint, I assure you of that. Don't think about inserting it inside your vagina or anus, since it is too short. It's not waterproof, either, so forget about using it in the shower. However, it does a great job of being used as a clitoral vibrator or even a personal massager all over the body.

Material / Texture

The Mia is made out of smooth plastic. Although it might not be that porous, I would still suggest putting a condom if you intend to share it with others. It is tasteless and odorless, as far as I can tell.

Design / Shape / Size

The Mia might be longer than a typical lipstick, at about 4 inches long. The USB cap takes about 1.5 inches of its size, so it isn't that very big. The shape resembles a lipstick with the end tapered to a bullet shape. I think it's made that way so it's easier to maneuver around the clitoral region.

I like the design of the Mia. It's not that discreet, but if someone comes in your room and sees the Mia being charged through a USB port of your laptop, they would not mind or even notice it.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The Mia has two buttons, + and -. It has 9 levels of vibration. If you keep on pressing +, it easily goes from very light to intense vibrations. But one thing that confuses me is sometimes, when you hit the maximum steady vibration level, and then you press + again, it turns into a pulsing rhythm. First is a slow one, then the next + has faster pulses. This is the confusion with the Mia: I'm not sure when I'd hit the maximum steady vibration level before switching to the pulse mode.

The vibrations are mostly located on the tip, just by the bullet-shaped end. The controls are placed right on the middle of the unit, so it's easy to lessen or add the levels of vibrations while being used. It's not that noisy, and I think it can even be used when somebody's in the same room as you - unless, of course, he or she is a very light sleeper.

Care and Maintenance

Because it's made out of smooth plastic, I commonly clean the bullet-shaped tip with a wet cloth and some soap. Sometimes, I run it under the faucet to make sure that it's clean. It's compatible with just about any lube, thanks to the plastic material of the toy. I store it under my pillow, but sometimes put it in the drawer. It's quite easy to care for, but the only thing that's notable perhaps is the glue that holds the bottom part from the chrome ring that separates the cap and the main body. Mine fell off after months, and it's probably because of removing and putting on the cap again and again. But it can easily be fixed by some superglue (though I haven't done it yet).
Follow-up commentary
Six years later and my Mia is still alive and kicking. The only thing that has sort of broke, is the glue that's holding the casing together with the innards. Other then that, it still works perfectly fine - the same as how I got it six years ago.

This is definitely a great product. Lelo has definitely outdone themselves with the longevity of the original lipstick vibrator!
