Music Not Confind to Ears

If you're looking for a toy that you can bond with instantly, the Harmonia by Close2You is it. It normally takes me three or four rounds with a toy to decide whether or not I really like it, but in this case I knew almost immediately. The unique vibration patterns make using this toy an experience you'll want to have again and again.

Use

This toy is designed for G-spot stimulation, but its supple nature easily allows for clitoral stimulation as well. Likewise, I'm sure that the toy can be used for anal play, but I would suggest doing so with care as the base of the toy is fairly large. The overall design of the piece is beautiful. I know there are a couple of reviews that complain about the skinny "neck" that the toy has, but the placement of the slim portion of the toy is great for people who like to feel full without feeling uncomfortable. The toy is designed for solo play, but I'm sure that with a little imagination you can easily incorporate it into use with a partner.

Material / Texture

This toy is made of silicone. It's smooth, and there is a very light odor, but I suspect that will fade over time.
    • Flexible
    • Light odor
    • Not porous at all

Design / Shape / Size

I really like the shape of the toy because it was big enough at the end to provide a full feeling, but the neck is slim enough that it's not uncomfortable. Also, the bendy aspect of the toy is really awesome because it provides stimulation both internally and externally if desired, and the whole toy vibrates so everywhere gets the right amount of attention.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The toy has two buttons: one powers the toy on and off, and then the second button cycles through the settings. The second button has a little nub on it, so it's easy to tell which button does what without looking.

There are eight settings in total. I'm still getting to know some of them, but here's a breakdown of all eight settings:

1st setting (low, steady vibration)
It's strong enough to feel and great for either warming up or simply using externally.

2nd setting (medium, steady vibration)
Feels stronger than it sounds.

3rd setting (high, steady vibration)
Great for both internal and external stimulation.

4th setting (Low, medium, high cycle)
The vibrations in this setting feel like they're moving from one end of the toy to the other, so it provides an interesting sensation.

5th setting (four beats on high)
For people who prefer steady, rhythmic patterns.

6th setting (three beats on high, cycle through low, medium high)
A great combination for people who like the steadier patterns, but don't mind a little surprise thrown in.

7th setting (six quick cycles, one long beat on high)
This is the setting that I'm probably least familiar with at present, but it's a great transition between setting six and setting eight.

8th setting (one medium length beat on high, four beats on high, one long beat)
I'm pretty sure this is why the toy is called Harmonia. It sounds a bit like the toy is trying to vibrate the opening chords to a movie soundtrack. It's great for people who find themselves switching between settings on toys a lot because it's quite an intricate pattern.
    • Discreet sound
    • Easy to use
    • Lots of variety in function

Care and Maintenance

This toy was super easy to clean. The company actually sends out a sample of their own toy cleaner, but warm water does the trick just as well. I'd suggest letting the toy air dry though, because it does seem to pick up fuzz easily.

Once the toy is clean and dried, you can either store it in the sturdy velvet pouch that comes with it, or you can leave it in the box (which is sturdy and beautiful).

Packaging

One of my pet peeves is having to fight with packaging when I want to open up my purchase for the first time. I'm happy to report, however, that Close2You blew me away with the elegant, easy packaging for the Harmonia. The box has a flap that opens up to reveal the toy behind a window, and taking out your toy is as easy as opening the top "drawer" out of the open side panel. The toy is cradled in sturdy foam, so you can easily store the toy in its box when you're finished and not have to worry about it rolling around.

Probably my favourite part of opening the box up was realizing that it comes with freebies! With your Harmonia, you get a beautiful velvet pouch and a sample of lubricant, as well as a hearty little booklet that displays all of the Close2You toys in several different languages.

Now I will say that despite the beautiful packaging, there is an image of a couple holding the toy on the front of the box, so while it would make an excellent gift as is, I don't know that I'd leave the box laying around when company is over.
    • Good for storage
    • Would make a nice gift

Personal comments

Overall, I found this toy to be a really great investment. I took advantage of the site's promotions and used my EdenPoints, so by the time that I clicked "confirm order" I only had to pay $20 for the toy and it's probably the best $20 I'll ever spend on a vibrator. It's sleek, nice to look at, and it's efficient; if anything ever happened to mine, I'd buy another one at full price without a second thought.

Thanks for a nicely written review (that was pleasantly easy to edit!). Some more specifics about the size would have been nice, but I did like the extra bit of info you gave about each setting. Nice job!
