Use

Muze is a sleek and sexy bullet designed for clitoral stimulation. Its domed end gives pinpoint powerful vibrations with a bit of buzziness. It can gently stimulate the clitoris or, because it is firm, it can also be used with firmer pressure. Enjoy it solo or with a partner. Even though it is longer than most bullets, it still works nicely during intercourse. It is even long enough for a shallow dip in the vagina. A romp in the shower is fine as it is splash proof. However, it is not waterproof. Do not submerge it during play or cleaning. Its design is discreet and, as such, Muze is a perfect travel companion.

A call to the Aneros company confirmed that Muze is the bullet that is sold with the Vice Prostate Massager. If you own Vice, you already have this bullet. If you are interested in a prostate massager with a bullet, it would be more economical to buy the Vice.

It is not designed for anal. The company Aneros is known for its anal toys. However, this bullet is definitely not an anal toy, as it has no flared base. Additionally, its narrow girth could easily slip up the butt. Do not use this anally.

Material / Texture

The Muze is made out of high grade stainless steel. It does contain nickel, so be aware if you have nickel allergies. Stainless steel is nonporous and can be sterilized. The bullet is smooth and hard. It is shiny, but not as shiny and polished as NJoy's stainless steel toys. About 1/3 of the way down is a seam. It is easily felt with fingers but doesn't affect the use at all.

Stainless steel is wonderful for temperature play. You can cool down or warm up the Muze for extra sensory fun. It retains both cold and hot temperatures very well.

Design / Shape / Size

The bullet is long and sleek, measuring at 4 inches long and a mere 0.5 inch wide. That's longer, yet at the same time thinner, than most bullets. The usable end is rounded like a tiny dome. Being small, it emits pinpoint vibrations. The length makes it easy to hold and direct those pinpoint vibrations right where they're needed.

The stainless steel can get slippery, but the extra length offers lots of room to grasp. The steel glides easily on skin, so lube may not be necessary. If lube is desired, any type - whether silicone, oil, or water based - is compatible with the steel. Use just a dab of lube so it doesn't get too slick.

Functions / Performance / Controls

Muze runs on one AAA battery. A single button at the end controls the functions. Push to turn it on and scroll through the settings. Hold down for 3 seconds to turn off. The vibrations are surprisingly powerful for an AAA toy. The highest intensity earns a 4/5 on the intensity scale. It's a weak 4, but a 4 nonetheless. The vibrations are more buzzy than rumbly, though. Compared to We Vibe's Salsa, the Muze is a bit less powerful and more buzzy. It is very quiet. Under a blanket it is almost inaudible.

The vibration settings are a bit unusual for a sex toy. There are 9 settings, but it is easiest to think of them as 3 sets of vibrations. The first set of three are at a low intensity. A low steady vibration is followed by a rolling wave and then fast pulsating vibrations. The next set are all medium intensity. Again there is a steady vibration, followed by the same rolling wave and pulsating variations from above, but this time at the medium intensity. The last group are high intensity. I am sure you can guess. The high steady vibration is first followed by the high intensity rolling wave and then high intensity pulsating. So basically you have 3 groups of steady, rolling wave, and pulsating vibrations. The wave and pulsating vibrations are identical patterns with only the intensity changing. Another odd thing is that there is a pause when changing each setting. For example, you may be enjoying the low intensity steady setting. Hitting the button will cause it to pause for a second before starting the low intensity rolling wave.

If you enjoy steady vibrations, you can not enjoy it at the lower intensity and then quickly ramp it up higher. You would have to scroll through the other settings and pauses. It works best for those who pick a setting and stick with it the entire time. Changing the settings during use with this particular setup is a bit annoying.

Care and Maintenance

Care for this toy is easy. It can be cleaned with soap and water, a toy cleaner, or a 10% bleach solution. Stainless steel can be completely sterilized making this a very safe toy to use. The only thing you don't want to do is use harsh abrasives on it. It is not waterproof, so do not submerge it in water. When cleaning with water, be careful to not get water in the battery compartment.

Packaging

Muze arrived with amazing, luxurious packaging. It is a heavy duty black box with a satiny red cushion inside. The bullet rests elegantly on its bed in between uses. The Aneros name is stamped on the lid. It's very classy and discreet storage.

Personal comments

I must admit I am surprised at the price tag on this toy. The present price is very high for a battery operated bullet, even if it is stainless steel. It would have to be some kind of sexual miracle worker to be worth that. Sadly, in my opinion, it just doesn't meet those high standards. Also the price is not much lower than the Vice, which comes with both anal toy and bullet. That would be a better option than buying the bullet alone.

I will compare it to Salsa, which is a very popular bullet. Salsa is more powerful, more rumbly, rechargeable, and more affordable. Women who love Salsa or its twin Tango will probably be disappointed with Muze.

As for me, I am not a huge fan of Salsa. For me it has too much pinpointed power. In fact it's almost painful for me. The Muze worked a bit better for me. I like a bit of buzz, and this was pleasant. It was still more pinpointed stimulation than I like, but I could tease up an orgasm. I did like that it was easy to hold and manipulate. Still, it's not something I will use often. I had thought it might work as well as the bullet in a couple of my vibrating dildos from Tantus. However, Muze was too thin to be effective. It just fell out of the bullet hole, and the vibrations didn't carry very well through the dildos anyway. I love that it has such classy storage.
